I am so glad you have an over-saw so you don't have to saw them damned old stop signs. I am a millwright, refrigeration mechanic, and a jet fighter crew chief. I was thinking about building a band saw mill but after seeing your mill I am encouraged to add an over-saw to my circle mill. Creativity is a gift from God. Don't tell anyone but my A/C work gave me an idea. Water is the best refrigerant. Most air conditioners or refrigerators have to pump nearly 200 psi to cool. A perfect vacuum on water goes down to 36 degrees with a 14.7 psi head pressure. We are not supposed to know this. Amish kids never go autistic because they never get vaxed.
Can you explain the difference between the saw blade types? Did C&C get you a hookup on the lights? Love those guys over there, they seem to be great people.
Our saw mill we sell our logs to sent back a note with our log truck driver today saying they are not taking any more oak tie logs until further notice. That was a low blow to us that is all we were cutting on the job
Great video Ian. That was the biggest log I’ve seen yet. When it rolled onto the carriage I thought it was going to keep going. I know red oak is heavy, I’ve been sanding on it all day, my little table saw is funny next to yours. Great job love to seen them high logs turned into lumber. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and the family
Great vid Ian. Just a couple of things ive notice that yhe f saw runs truer than the b saw. You can see the saw blade walk when resting. Also the main saw shaft has some tun out as uou can see it bouncing in the bearing blocks, it may need more stiffing or bracing to hold ot steady, just a few things ive notice being a mechanic , great vids but one fault sometimes i eake up and it finished😂
Ian, when you set the edging saws, are you aiming for a specific dimension, or just as wide as possible? Does any of your rough lumber get S4S elsewhere for retail?
Hello Ion :: couple thinking... we use to be able to hear the saw cutting the wood it's not the same these last few times did you change mics or something.. and I noticed that all the other mills I see feed from right to left and yours feed left to right is there a reason for this or is it just the make of the saw ... enjoy your channel alot ..🇨🇦🇨🇦
Very informative video. I liked the comments of the how and why you make your cuts the way you do. 👍🏻

I’m going for max width. And yes! They’ll be getting finished out.
What thickness are you milling?
6/4. It’s an inch and 5/8’s
Be nice to see further into the process as well. What happens next (etc).
How close are the blades togather, is the top blade ahead of the main blade
F pattern saw ?? It cuts so smooth ,no saw marks. I think,k I like it. ✌️🇨🇦
Thank you
Enjoy those easy sawing fat logs!
