Just got into Bolt Action. Your content is my guide for painting since the zombicide ones (actually I started paiting with them 1 year ago =) ). Thanks a lot brother!
These are great, but how do you do an entire army? I mean it takes me about an hour to do one figure, and with 17 paints per unit, it must take days to complete.
Nice video and beautifully done, but I must say I still have my father's blose from D-Day and it is more of a yellowish-golden brown than what you have here.
I really envy you guys that can paint minis so well...I cannot...and I am a war gamer and not a modeler...so I either go with a the three spray paint(using Army Painter spray cans) ghost style...or I pay the extra $ to buy the Collectors Battlefield minis...I love their Brit Paras and their Fallschirmjagers (their 17th ss are good too) with a bit of sepia wash...their U.S. paras and Glider troops not so much...again...beautiful job...be well
It's all about practice and time. I've been painting minis now for around 14 years. I've used a vast variety of paints and techniques to paint an even wider variety of minis. Don't be scared to move out of your comfort zone, if you don't then you'll never improve. You might make a few mistakes along the way but it's how you go on to improve :)
Hi mate I’m new to bolt action figure painting question... do I buy all the paints for example for the u s airborne Individual or is there a kit thanks G
What was the result? Was it too green? If so, it's possible that you applied the wash a little too strongly. If you have access to quickshade mixing medium try creating a mixture of 1 part medium to 1 part wash otherwise try the same ratio of water to wash. That should thin out the wash giving you a more subtle, less green shading
Great video I’m am a beginner to bolt action and am having a problem with washes,I am doing as you explain in the videos but once the wash drys it’s very shiny have you got any advice please
This could be caused by a couple thing mate: 1. Are you using Gloss wash? I know it sounds silly but GW have gloss versions of their washes and it’s easy to miss on the label. 2. Are you shaking the wash bottle enough before every use. I find that you need at least a minute to fully blend the wash together and this should get rid of the shiny effect. 3. You could finish your model by applying a matt varnish. This would eliminate any shine.
A part is a measure. So for example 1 part water 1 part paint could mean in this case 1 part is equal to 1 drop - so therefore 1 drop water 1 drop paint mixed together - hope that helps

He's a chunky boi! Nice paint job.
Can you do how to paint polish soldiers for bolt action? There are no guides available!
Paint british soldiers and add the correct patches. Unless you mean Polish Army pre surrender that is more blue/grey french style
You need new brushes, mate! :) That forked tongue is painful. :)
Excellent vid nonetheless! Love this series.

Looks awesome nice tutorial
Nice video mate
Great job but this is crazy if you have 96 of them to get done or even 48 with this amount of detail would be daunting
Great paint!
Brilliant tutorial it came in very handy 👍🏻 thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a specific kit so you will need to pick up the paints individually.
Bit late but in wich step between do you add the decals? Or at the end?
Another amazing tutorial! Any rips on some brushes that are good but not to expensive?
I tried doing this and the leather brown became dark dark brown
Maybe I’m doing something wrong but the military shader didn’t look like that for me and I did what you did by the step

The War Gamer it actually wasn’t green enough honestly
