I LOVED visiting Pompeii. One of the most fascinating ruins we have standing today!! I remember learning about ancient sewage systems because of the drainage they had in the city. It’s NUTS.
When I was a kid and in school I had one of those projects where you carry a sack of rice for like a week to mimic carrying a baby around. I named her Amalfi because I loved it there! 😊
My favorite fact about Pompeii is that for so long historians couldn't figure out where it was and ultimately decided it was a mythical city and paired it with Atlantis until it was found again. Gives hope for Atlantis. (; Love love love the cruise! It's a great way to see places you'd never thought of going to and opening your eyes to them. I'd definitely love to see you do a European River Cruise and compare an ocean/river cruise.
Oh man, my favorite place! We stayed for a week in an apartment in Atrani, a 5 minute walk from Amalfi with no tourists or crowds. When you go back you HAVE to hike up the old pathway that begins in Atrani and goes up the side of the mountain to Ravello through vineyards, olive and lemon trees with stunning views of the coast. And Pompeii is definitely one of the grandest of ancient sites.with a good guide the place comes alive. So glad you guys went and had a great time!

We love the Amalfi Coast! If you ever go back there are tons of little villages where you can stay for cheap. We spent a whole month there and always want to go back!

WΔY ΔWΔY - The Way Away, travel and lifestyle Favorite? That is a hard question cuz I have so many loves!!! Hmmmm... Japanese way of life is serene... You can live there without fear of crime... You don’t have to lock your doors.... they have vending machines on the streets! (Which serve hot and cold drinks in the winter time btw). The food is phenomenal. The major city train stations have shopping malls connected to it. You can get a big city feel and also a nice small country town feel not too far from each other,. Public transportation is clean and on time! I can go on and on forever and ever. I lived in Yokosuka, Japan. Yokohama, Japan is just 26 mins away by train( my fav city in Japan) Shinagawa was the closest Tokyo area by train... but I’ve been all over Tokyo as well... It is huge! I have had the pleasure to visit... Nagoya, Nagasaki, Hokkaido, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Osaka while I was there. I cannot wait to go back!!!

Amazing! This is such a great cruise. I think cruising is good for when you just really need a complete break from your life, for being pampered, relaxing, not having to plan anything. But I also think traveling to one particular place, staying there for a while so you can discover what it's about can be so fulfilling. So my vote is a cruise every once in a while but continuing to travel the way you've been doing.

If you guys go back to the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend staying in the little town of Nerano. My friends and I had one of our best Airbnb experiences EVER there, staying in a little villa with an amazing view of the water. The locals (including our Airbnb hosts) were amazing and we loved the food! Pasta alla Nerano is one of my favorite Italian dishes of all time! I can't recommend it enough!!

Who does not know abut Pompeii? I learned about it in school many many centuries ago.... The exhibit is in Phoenix right now, but I saw it in Denver a few years ago and was fascinated . I can only imagine how interesting it would be to see the actual town. Your vlogs make my travel planning any easier.. I started this time in london march 14th then dublin for st patty's day and then drove around Ireland by car. Then amsterdam, germany, Poland, italy, malta, slovenia, Croatia, greece, morocco, south africa now Thailand and in 5 days Australia! Been a crazy 6 months! Safe travels guys!! Have fun!
I loved Pompeii. I visited about 6 years ago and I was amazed at the frescoes that have survived. I would totally recommend Herculaneum which is the other side of the bay and was better preserved during the eruption as it was covered in hot mud. I would also recommend the island of Capri which is beautiful.
Great video! It was neat to follow you on the cruise, but I also really like seeing you explore destinations with more time. One hour in a city isn't much...but, as you said, it can give you a taste so you know whether you want to go back! :) I can't wait to see your vids in Japan! It's on our bucket list!! ~Pam

I loved the cruise series! If you do plan on doing more, you should check out the channel, "CruiseTipsTV". They have tons of videos on planning, packing, do's and don'ts, excursion planning...you name it. The Amalfi coast is SO beautiful. Great video!

New to your channel & I must say I think I'm going to have to unsubscribe because of the serious FOMO I've got while watching your Symphony videos 😂😂😂 I've done 2 cruises with RCCL & I absolutely love them! We went on Harmony last year & I literally wanted to cry when I got off haha! Love your channel guys, looking forward to the Japan videos 😉
