I should look into making a video that uses it as a background music.
Here, I spend a few minutes with her as she grabs some afternoon snacks. It was windy and actually tried to rain a little while we are out there. And I share my philosophy about the squirrel poaching our persimmons: They can't get all of them, so it's not really that big of a deal to me. But they have helped themselves to most of the green fruit that they can reach already. I suppose that's the reason fruit grows on the ends of the smaller branches -- to keep some out of reach of squirrels that come and eat it too soon.
(Mary is an Eastern Fox Squirrel living in Los Angeles)
P.S. Here's the Lyrics to Mary's Theme Song:
Along Comes Mary
by the Association (1967)
Every time I think that I'm
The only one who's lonely someone calls on me
And every now and then I spend
My time at rhyme and verse and curse those faults in me
And then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
Then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
And does she wanna give me kicks
And be my steady chick and give me pick of memories?
Or maybe rather gather tales from all the
Fails and tribulations no one ever sees?
When we met I was sure out to lunch
Now my empty cup tastes as sweet as the punch
Sweet as the punch!
When vague desire is the fire in the eyes of chicks
Whose sickness is the games they play
And when the masquerade is played and neighbor folks
Make jokes as who is most to blame today
And then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
Then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
And does she wanna set them free
And let them see reality from where she got her name?
And will they struggle much when told that such
A tender touch of hers will make them not the same?
When we met I was sure out to lunch
Now my empty cup tastes as sweet as the punch
Sweet as the punch
And when the morning of the warning's passed
The gassed and flaccid kids are flung across the stars
The psychodramas and the traumas gone
The songs are left unsung and hung upon the scars
And then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
Then along comes Mary
Mary, Mary
And does she wanna see the stains the dead remains
Of all the pains she left the night before?
Or will their wakin' eyes reflect the lies
And make them realize their urgent cry for sight no more?
When we met I was sure out to lunch
Now my empty cup tastes as sweet as the punch
Sweet as the punch
When we met I was sure out to lunch
Now my empty cup tastes as sweet as the punch (x6)
Sweet as the punch!
She is beautiful ❤. It was lovely to watch her enjoying her treats
Oh man... if I can live in a house with neighbors like this, I'll be spoiling them like crazy!
nice
Mary is lovely! 😍
I give my boy fox an ear of corn and hilarious watching him maneuver.
A lovely breakfast buffet for Mary ❤🐿❤️ 🌰🍒
fox squirrels love peanut butter sandwiches.
Chubby boy ❤
Sorry to pop your bubble but that's not a fox squirrel. Fox squirrels have a longer bushier tail, like a FOX.
@@jypseaspencer They are Eastern fox squirrels. The size of the tail varies from animal to animal and the time of year. Mary currently has a big bushy tail, but a few weeks ago she had shed it and it was fairly small. Thanks for watching!
It just occurred to me that you may be thinking of Sherman Fox Squirrels if you live in an area in the Southern US where they are found. They are definitely different looking than the Eastern Fox Squirrels that I have here in Los Angeles. Much larger, longer tails, different colors. But they are related to the smaller eastern fox squirrels and less common.
@@charlespatton3470 I'M TALKING ABOUT FLORIDA FOX SQUIRRELS, MUCH LONGER, FLUFFIER TAIL AND LARGER BODY.
@@jypseaspencer Right. Their official name is the Sherman's Fox Squirrel. Wonderful squirrels. Mine are called Eastern Fox Squirrels. They are smaller and found all over the Eastern part of the US. They were brought to Southern California during the civil war era ... Soldiers had them as pets. Thanks for watching!
It’s Is a foxy, I have 2 boys in my apt in aviary flights.
