the cambodian territory used to expand over alot of the indochinese region, which is why we called older stuff from those regions as traditional cambodian, however i don't agree that every single thing was traditional cambodian items.

Many of the so-called "Origin" stories and evidence proposed by Cambodians tends to be restricted to post 2001. If you go back any earlier, you will not find credible references online or printed material from either domestic or international visitor references. Which begs the question, "Who's cooking history?". For example, Kun Khmer have not been heard of until recently. And I mean between 2020-2024. It is claimed that it dates back to Angkor Empire period as evidence found on the Angkor Wat walls. Yet, other than unclear mural reliefs (which is entirely up to personal interpretations by the way), no text or tangible records has ever been shown. What makes it even more unreliable, is the same depiction on the wall can be found in India Hindu temples in India which is another form of dance art completely unrelated to Muay Thai or Kun Khmer. That in it self opens up a whole can of worms regarding origins. There are no archival manuscripts of the fighting art form shown anywhere. Not from domestic scholars or even foreign scholars who often documents these type of things when they explore the world. In contrast, you will find these about Muay Thai during Siam and Ayuthaya with many foreign scholars observing and documenting of the same similar nature. Which is added on top of Siam and Ayuthaya's scholar records in pictures and written national archives spread out across the country. Muay Thai have different styles and moves which is unique to cities that belongs to Ayuthaya and Siam capitol. I.e. Muay Chaiya (another Muay Thai technique style) is from Nakhon Sri Thamrat which was a historic outpost town of Ayuthaya in the South in the Gulf of Thailand. Nakhon Sri THamarat on its own have a long history and you will find records of its relevance in regional history depicted by merchants and scholars from China and European visitors who trade in these waters back then.

Even accounts from their own Royal Family members. So how do you explain that? Citing only Murials on the wall. That's it.

That cements the credibility of real accounts in Ancient Egypt's records in either Murials or Pyparas scholars of Pharaohs. This tangible evidence from foreign nations is how we know it is credible. You will find these for Siam and Ayuthaya from Portuguese, French, Spanish, British, Dutch, Chinese, Turkish and Japanese merchants, diplomats and explorers. All of which collaborates Siam's and Ayuthaya's own records and archives. Accurate history should be discussed on evidence based on multiple tangible evidence that is not up to interpretations. Because that is not reliable and should be credited as such. There are many holes with many of the evidences presented by Cambodia which cannot be explained. Here's an example, how did the world know that Ayuthaya was the most populous city in the 18th Century in the world? Foreign scholars wrote them and kept records. That's how we know. Not because Ayuthayan wrote it only. It's a combination of both local scholars and foreign scholars who repeats the same information. Credible sources!

Cambodian might used to influence Thai like 3,000+ years ago, Thai people are all admit it and we were teached. But after the fall of Khmer Empire and the rise of Ayuddhaya Empire, Thai influenced Cambodia instead. We developed our own things by mixing up with many cultures that we lived with, through colonial era, world wars, economic crisis.
