Same. He has a big personality, but he understands the dynamics of a podcast. He allows the comedians to control the conversation and doesn't interrupt. He's a generous listener. You need people like that to take that position on the panel. Those intuitions can help facilitate the flow of the conversation. He chimes in once in a while and he's never overbearing. I think Adam should seriously think of keeping him in place of Chris.

Glad Adam pressed the Mandela effect guy a little.. it’s just memory fog and associative liberty. It’s not shocking that people always say “LUKE I am your father” to give the added context to the actual quote. Also after the fight Vader is in his head saying “LUKE” so it gets mashed together in the memory banks.
“Trespasses” vs “Debts” are simply 2 separate translations of the Lord’s Prayer. I remember hearing “trespasses” first and then “debts” at a different church 😋

I’m from Korea and it seems as though there are certain things Americans remembering things differently from I do: for example, I vividly remember watching a news report about Nelson Mandela getting released from a jail, but a lot of Americans say they remember him dying in jail. ??? This is really bizarre.

Robert Kiviat's point is relatively valid, but there's a psychological phenomenon that explains what he's referencing that creates a false memory. Some of it has to do with our minds auto-correcting statements to fit what we think should have been said: e.g. Luke, I am your father. It would have been more poignant and effective to address Luke with his name and make the statement, but in the context of the scene, he is already talking to Luke, so the line "No, I am your father" was the real line. To remove it from the context, one replaces "No" with "Luke". The Sex And the City being Sex in the City is simply an affect of people hearing it incorrectly and both make sense, so there's no reason to look into it, especially if you're not a fan. It's a simple mistake easily overlooked in conversation. The brain will interchange "and" and "in" depending on what it assumes is correct. This effect is also prevalent in the Star Trek community where people say, "Damn it, Jim, I'm a doctor not a..." or "He's dead, Jim." McCoy simply said, "I'm a doctor, not a brick layer" in an early episode, and the other line misquoted as well. That said, the misquotes are fun, and so ingrained in the vernacular that they were referenced in the later movies.

I just spent a week in Creswell 20 miles south of Eugene. It is an awesome tiny old town with 1 hotel and I had a great time.

The craziest one I experienced was finding out that the comedian Sinbad was not in a movie called Shazaam. I specifically remember renting the movie from Blockbuster on a Friday night as a kid.
I saw the movie, the same with me, I rented it also.

Shaq was Shazaam. Sinbad wore genie pants on stage. They were also on back to back movie trailers on VHS. First was a movie with Sinbad in it, the very next trailer was Shaq as Shazaam.

I was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1950. I moved to the smaller city across the river, Springfield for many years, but was forced to move back to Eugene. I apologize for the college down Eugene and it's left leaning people. There are many good people in this town. Most of the very strange ones are in Portland 100 miles away.

It's more like a distributed data base where nodes can disagree and both be true at the same time. Our reality is constantly updated backdated and altered. Most changes are un noticed. The download of changes happens as we sleep. Updates are not even though and some people don't get them and run on old software. Until they get the update they will have old information at their database they draw from. The distributed data base model maps over and explains the mandella effect perfectly and lends support to theories of akishic record and simulation theory.

Adam you are correct. Any form of Twist Drill (6" Auger or 1/4" drill) has spiral flutes to evacuate the material being drilled. They create an empty hole. They don't "dig themselves in". Robert Kiviat's examples of "evidence" are hugely flawed and based on subjective things. As a hardcore Star Wars fan for my whole life -- and particularly since 1994 -- I've always known that the line is, "No, I am your father." I also know for a fact that the line has always been edited/conflated down to "Luke, I am your father" for pop culture and parodies and such, because the line is almost always just said by itself and doesn't take the time to utilize the entire scene, with Luke saying beforehand, "He told me enough. He told me you killed him." To be movie-accurate, a quick parody/reference in a sitcom then would have to rewind the scene further to say, "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father." See, it doesn't work. The short-hand way of making the reference in a casual way that even non-Star Wars fans might get is to just say, "Luke, I am your father."
People have tried to point out that C-3PO's silver calf/leg wasn't in the original version of the Trilogy. No, it was. Always. But grainy pan-n-scan VHS never made it quite as easy to see, which is why more people (usually casuals) began to point it out in the 2000s when the Trilogy was released on DVD, in widescreen, and more people began to notice. Also, the original Kenner figure and many other toys didn't bother to exactly replicate C-3PO down to the exact color of his silver leg, likely because plastic is cheaper and easier to keep all as one color for printing purposes, therefore 90% of the toy versions are all gold. (I have seen a few toys that had the silver leg back in the '90s, but they were just being more faithful to the movie.)
I remember Nelson Mandela meeting up with the Spice Girls in a 1997 press conference that was shown on the news. So the "fact" that he died in prison is all BS too.
All the Mandela Effect is is people having faulty memories -- usually about trivial shit that they never paid much attention to in the first place -- and then instead of coming to the realization that they remembered it wrong, or pigeonholed in their head across decades, would rather make the claim that SERN is opening dimensional portals and is crossing different realities. I mean, this is some flat-Earth level bullshit.
In other words, it's basically the most selfish conspiracy theory of all time. "I didn't remember it wrong...the universe literally morphed and changed my reality!" This thinking aligns perfectly with the me-first attitude of the internet, social media, and smartphones.
They went from The Facebook to just Facebook. This guy is making my brain hurt.
