    is creating the "first bump" just bringing up exposure slightly to the right and checking verticals? Is there anything else?

    • @joefoto
      @joefoto  Год назад

      First bump for me is adjusting exposure bringing up shadows dropping highlights, changing profile to standard...that's about it. I do verticals at the end after I merge my layers.

    Wondering if we could just desaturate the oranges and yellows in the ambient shot prior to sending to PS? Do you think that would solve the color cast issue seen in some luminosity blends? Just spitballing here

    • @joefoto
      @joefoto  Год назад +2

      Yes you could do that but it would be a global edit affecting the entire image. In this situation that would be ok. Easier to do a hue saturation layer in photoshop though.

    what app are you using to see the image on your phone?

      For my olympus camera, I'm using the OI image app. What camera do you use?

    It’s working well for me, but I’m having trouble getting it to fully remove me when I blend with the gradient tool. It shows me faintly, transparent but still visible. What do I need to adjust so it blends it better?

    • @joefoto

      Make sure you're opacity is 100% and you are using a black layer mask with white selected. And start in front of yourself.

    Hey there! 👋 Not related to your video (sorta). If you put things, icons, words, etc, in your thumbnail on the bottom right hand side, they're obstructed by the length of the video time stamp when on mobile :) just my unsolicited $0.03 from a fellow creator/photographer.

    • @joefoto
      @joefoto  Год назад +2

      I know. I'm releasing a new tutorial soon where I go over all that. Every situation will be different so I don't want people to get caught up in that detal that may or may not pertain to every situation. But I will start to mention it in future tutorials.

    If you do flambiant are you not doing hdr?

    • @joefoto
      @joefoto  Год назад +1

      No hdr for me. To do it right, takes way too long at least for me. I either do flambient or single image ambient.
