What is the term/job title for people who look up CEO's and other higher up people?
As far as I know its risk assessment/management/etc.
My dream job is to be that person or at least one of them for Harry Styles from One Direction but seems like the entertainment industry doesn't really care to much about infosec. Its sad because they really should care.
So if you look for roles like: Social Media Analyst, Social Media Governance, Travel Risk Analyst, OSINT Analyst, you might have some luck. I'd dig into the company that does Harry's tours. I found Daniel Humphrey's (www.linkedin.com/in/daniel-humphreys-45019616/) and his company 1826 (www.linkedin.com/company/eighteentwentysix-limited/). That's probably the best place to start. Get adding a few people at the company. Build a rapport. See where it goes...

Try this again, with a fresh version of Kali. It's been a few months and you probably had some bugs.

If you mean the black window with white text, this is Terminal on macOS/Linux/Unix and that would be the Command Prompt on Windows 👍🏼

I just had one more question so the youtube tutorial that you gave me, do all the youtubers use the same Kali that youre using or some people use some other Kali, I'm just starting to learn how to use Kali Linux and I had this question in my mind for a long time.
@@KS_0_6 Hey! As @offsec updates Kali, things will be added and removed. So with some older tutorials, you might run into problems. I'd download the latest version, take a snapshot in your VM, and then hack away! You can get the change logs here www.kali.org/releases/ - if you run into any problems, hit me up here or on LinkedIn :)

I ran the python3 -m pip install… and got “no module named pip”.

Hey that would really be platform dependent. Some platforms basically make private accounts invisible, others just hide the content. A little bit like on Instagram when you find a private profile. You can still get to the profile itself, it's not hidden.
Great. I will check out your videos to see if you have covered windows useers but I would challenge you Gary to do the same thing using only a windows machine and onlint tools only, no d/l to local host.
I have zero Windows machines. And some tools don’t work online. They can only be run locally. It’s all about the best tools for the job I’m afraid.

There are 2 'e' in requirements - make sure you're spelling it right or use tab autocomplete.
How do you search by home address?
That varies wildly by country. But if you check out the advanced search in 192.com you’ll be surprised. Rarely are these services free.
Do you know tool that can gain useful information about a given Facebook account?
Define useful. I’m being genuine when I say that. What data points are of value to you?
@@theGaryRuddell In fact, this tool is required of us to search for it as a homework in the university... The teacher did not specify exactly what this information is, but it may be information about the account holder, place of residence, friends...etc.

There’s a lot of sites on the list. I haven’t checked them all! Best to try it and see for yourself 😊

how do you find all accounts linked to a email ?
Searching my email isn’t supported on all platforms. So usernames is a stronger choice. However, there are other ways like using @sociallinksosint to search by profile picture using AI too.

Most links wont open using this tool.
I’ve found it to be useful in finding the big accounts that people have.
It doesn't always gives good results...would tell people to not rely just on sherlock and try also other tools....

So it's basically a programm that adds the name to the end of a link? And it doesn't work when someone chose a different username. Soooooo... what's the point?
When you’re doing this stuff at scale, as a pro, trust me, you’ll be grateful to have a tool like this.
It basically gives a million different results for one name, and if one website happens to have a back door or a leak, it's a W for gathering alot of info from your target
