So this is my interpretation: If he knew he didn’t use his turn signals or they weren’t working properly & a police car pulled him over, he wouldn’t have gotten out of his car to escape. This would just be a “warning” scenario due to his back car light signals. But since he ran, he’s clearly got something else ON him like drugs, etc which leads the cops to suspicion.

So this is my interpretation: If he knew he didn’t use his turn signals or they weren’t working properly & a police car pulled him over, he wouldn’t have gotten out of his car to escape. Whenever I watch these I always think if my job consisted of running from the cops I'd wear better clothes and not have my shit falling off my ass. Every other runner that wears the saggy pants falls on his ass and has to have the cops pull them up

I got beat up in a routine traffic stop= I resisted arrest and probably had drugs on me and a violent record and tried to fight a police officer.

I did a ride along years ago and this happened. Passenger jumps out and runs. All officers leave the driver and chase passenger. About two blocks away. The passenger stops. They had eyes on him the whole time so they knew he didn’t drop anything. They searched him and nothing. Went back and pulled driver out, searched the car, nothing. Just as they were about to pull off lady turns her porch light on and tells officer she saw driver get out and out something in her bushes. What did they find? Two stolen guns and 3oz of cocaine. They almost got away with it.

The lack of turn signals for a stop is such a BS move. I wish they actually did that. 9 out of 10 cops I see on the road never use their turn signals and constantly break traffic laws just because the can. They usually bust speeders as its easier and more profitable than ticketing the idiot on their cell phones swerving across lanes like a drunk.

Anybody think it seems staged since the camera guy was in the back which means the cop had to let him out but when they camera guy was behind the guy they were pretty much in the same place and then the cameras started rolling again?
KCMO doesn't have cage cars, that's why you see them loading the arrests not once, but twice, into a paddy wagon. Camera man was able to let himself out and if you think Cops is staged you are a moron.

@@samwright4567 Oh, yeah, that part was clearly shot for dramatic effect. COPS often has shots of the camera man outside the vehicle watching it drive away for dramatic effect. This was likely filmed after the fact or it was filmed and then the officers stopped so the cameraman could jump back in. There were already multiple other officers out with the car and had everyone in custody so it's not like there was any rush.
