I wasn't even born back then... These are The Strokes I'd like to watch, though... these days they are just sooo, ugh... oh, man... We can't have nice things, can we? God *has* to take them away from us in one way or another.
I was 12 when room on fire came out, and it was the first real current and raw rock and roll. I went from liking the blink 182 and pop rock bands to diving into the strokes, Interpol, kings of Leon and staying up for MTVs indie music video segment at night. Album changed my life forever

Yep. 2003... I wasn't even born yet. God, this is probably the coolest Strokes performance I've ever seen! And it looks like this is the actual audio too! Which is even more amazing because later MTV would always copy-paste audios of other performances and make an audio-collage because Julian was always so dang drunk you'd think he was on heroin. The actual audios for those MTV shows without any mixing are just... scary actually.
I saw them in San Francisco on this tour. It was my second time seeing the Strokes, first time was with the Realistics and the Mooney Suzuki (amazing show!). The one thing I remember was reading the marquee and saying "Kings of Leon? Who the fuck are these guys?" They brought the house down!!. I still remember them stepping out and just ripping through Red Morning Light and Ive been a fan since. First two albums, that is. Strokes were amazing as usual. UH!-Merica is all i remember about spektor.
Man, this was a week after I saw them at the Hollywood Palladium. Such an epic concert! Seeing KOL smoking outside before the show and everyone was passing them by...someone yelling at Regina and she responded with "F you!".
I wondered the same haha, but I reckon that ..had they kissed, the crowd would've screamed or something, and they didn't so, I don't think so, but who knows
I hate that album. I just really like Aha Shake Heartbreak, my favourite kol album and youth and young manhood which is brilliant. From then on they had a couple of songs I liked and then a bunch of dull boring empty shit
Nick’s solo on The Modern Age might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen
I love this era of the strokes. I wish i was there!
It was a special time (I was at this show…and so many others!)
julian and regina are so cute
25:32 -that transition from the modern age into 12:51 has me in such a chokehold
I was lucky to be there that night. Great to be able to watch it years later.

What sticks out to me is the look of actually caring Julian has on he's face. What an epic show that must've been.

anyone know who the guy standing on stage left with the white shirt and jeans is? one of the guys dads? xD
Did I just find the Austin Brock of The Strokes?
Not only back then. I think people underrate KOL.
JULIAN AND ASSES SRSLY ME TOO JULIAN
What
I can't control what I do or don't enjoy I'm sorry I agree with most people on this matter. PS: there's a reason why so many people think that way
Holy fuck :,)
the infamous garbage man attire
Did jules kiss regina? Thanks for the video!
I wondered the same haha, but I reckon that ..had they kissed, the crowd would've screamed or something, and they didn't so, I don't think so, but who knows
u messin with kings of leon? wrong move man..
Me.
I'm drinking an Olde English 40 while watching this.. but I will probably get smacked later
Yeah that's true... But are you one of those who think OBTN was a bad album? 'Cause I think it's pretty good xD
exactly there must be something about him for people to like him. I don't personally but I won't put him down
92.3 used to be cool, now it's just annoying -_-
Yeah... Pretty much the stereotype I imagined...
haha yup thats what evryone says nowadays....
Yeah... There's a reason why so many people like Justin Bieber too
But I'm just kidding xD
Kings of Leon is "meh" now.
with kings of leon as guests? disgusting.
they've been pretty dull lately
I hate that album. I just really like Aha Shake Heartbreak, my favourite kol album and youth and young manhood which is brilliant. From then on they had a couple of songs I liked and then a bunch of dull boring empty shit
BAD VIDEO NOT GOOD SORRY.?
