Add me to the long list of people who appreciates your content. Very conversational and easy to understand. Perfect for a new sim enthusiast. I'm getting closer and closer to being in danger of pursuing a license. Lol
This may very well be the best overview I have ever seen relating to X-Plane. This offers a very useful explanation of the G1000 units with easy to understand examples. Just what I needed! Thank you for a wonderful presentation.
I've seen a Garmin1000 tutorial already, but this is the best. Mainly because you demonstrate what will happen if we wont use a specific feature, and then show what does that feature. Way to go. Thanks.
Thank you so much. I would only have to watch your tutorials to learn G1000 because of your crystal👍🏻 clear explanation and your real time tempo makes it possible to do one flight while watching your video
This is a GREAT tutorial! I'm a CFI with NO G1000 experience, just flew in a plane for the first time today with a former student and honestly felt a little lost, this filled in all the gaps, thanks so much!
Excellent tutorial. I just started the Xplane11 and this is what I needed to operate the G1000. I'm new to in home flight simulators and finding good instructors has been a challenge. Your best talent is that you do not assume that your "students" know the details. Now if I could just figure out how to incorporate FltplanGo into Xplane11.
I got the FltPlnGo working. Here's a tip I purchased a IFR enroute low alt chart. It allows me to see where intersections are around the airports that I want to fly around. It just gives me the "big picture" of a flight plan I want to fly. It also makes it easier to see where STARS and Arrivals are in relation to where you going. I know, I'm old school.
Very good video and thank you. I’m an old steam gauge pilot who’s trying to learn the new glass cockpit displays. This looks like a great method once learned. I’m looking forward to catching up with your videos. Thanks again for sharing.
I see it’s a couple of years since you’ve updated the channel, so I’m probably a little late with my subscription. :) None the less I wanted to let you know that of the G1000 videos I’ve seen, as someone who struggles with the complex, this one was hands down the best and most useful for me. It’s such a shame you never got around to the more in depth sequel, as I now need to find somebody equally as good, to show me how to use it to do an ILS approach and landing. :) Thank’s again and hope you’re doing well. All the best.
I've looked at a few videos on the G1000 and this is the first one that comes up to a professional teaching standard. Looking forward to your next one.
Sames. I saw people cruising and twisting knobs to steer and change altitude and was like I NEED THIS 😅 I Just wonder will it translate well to the bigger planes
Really nice - thanks... as a beginner this was clear, concise and informative. Ironically I was practicing landings at Rockcliffe prior to finding your video!
Thank you so much Jason for your efforts, very informative and to be honest, the best tutorial I have seen on the G1000, looking forward to more videos from you on the G1000. I would be very interested in seeing ILS approach tutorial.
Great video, looking forward to your next G1000 tutorial series, we all can learn together. I enjoy your clear explanation style. I'm sure at some point you will explain ILS/LOC approaches and how it is done., as well vector/approach select and activate in the G1000 flight planning.
Nice vid. One thing you might have missed in the Primary Flight Display is the white ticker tapes for flap speeds. Other than that, great tutorial. I look forward to finding and watching the more advanced one.
....very very good Tutorial, very clear . Also I wish a step by step Tutorial, when is possible for you. Thanks and greetings Bruno ( sorry my english)🇨🇭
I just bought the thandra Quest Kodiak. She uses the g1000. I was setting up a flight plan but couldn't figure out how to edit the SID I had selected, as it had me on a vector and I was offline and just wanted to go direct to the first waypoint. I pressed a bunch of buttons and couldn't figure it out. Thanks so much
While I'm doing my best to learn how to operate these glass cockpits, if given a choice of two planes, one w'steam guages and radios, and the other with a garmin G-1000, I'll jump into the one with steam gauges EVERY time! That's just me: learn about the new but NEVER let go of the old.
Excellent video. It does what the different manuals can't : shows how to put it into practice . Would you be able to make one that explains how to use the autopilot in different situations. ?
Thank you Jason for this tutorial, quite simple very informative and very well organized. My best guess you are a flight instructor or a pilote instructor. Thank you from Montreal.
The yellow, blue, and brown is your Attitude Indicator, not HSI. The HSI would be the combo of your magenta course plus your heading indicator...HSI is horizontal situation indicator, the attitude indicator shows pitch.
Another great video, wondering if you have done a more thorough tutorial of the g1000, such as setting up ils approaches. I know you talked about doing it in a different video, I wasn't able to find one.
Watching it again. You mistakenly said the barometric pressure setting was set at 18000'. You should have said it is set to 29.92 when at or above 18000'. Below that altitude it is set to the nearest airport ATIS setting so that the barometric altimeter will indicate proper readings; very important for IFR flight.
The best tutorial I've seen for G1000 ! Big Thanks!
We need Full tutorial how we can setup flight plan , How we can setup ILS app.

I am fairly new in x plane and read and viewed so many tutorials. You are the best in this regard. Thank you.
