Spectator drags are one of the few "true" american, wholesome things we have to look forward to left these days, and im very grateful. Good job to both the camaros for pulling off the win, great battles. Its not common for the blazer to get edged out, but im sure itll be back with a vengeance!
I love spectator drags and watch them regularly from Edmonton Canada. I was going to try my daily driver in a hot lap battle at our local oval track, but I have to work an oil gas shutdown during the race.

I never knew the F body camaro was a good platform for cornering and speed.
@tyreksimmons4167 oh yeah, their awesome, those old f bodies and even g bodies are great, very predictable when sideways and a great platform.
@JukeboxAlley That's good to hear. The 3rd gen camaro is a dream build of mine. But I was worried that it would tank in any corner without extensive modification 😅

Yessir. I've got an 84. It's been down bad for far too long unfortunately with the engine sitting on my garage floor.
My father passed away in 2021 so I bought his 74 stingray from my mom. I overpaid by about 6grand probably but I wanted to help her and she wouldn't take a handout.🤷🏻♂️

@@brucem6442 I'm a chick and mine is an '88 with the 305 TPI. It has a few add-ons for a little more "oomph" lol. My husband's uncle has a '76 Stingray painted "Yvonne Blue". He had his wife pick the colors and had them mixed and named the color after her lol.
I've let my son drive the IROC a few times, his friends LOVE it. My blood gets pumping every Spring, when it's the beginning of car season. 🤩 If I didn't live so far away, I'd love to bring my car to the Seekonk track!

I enjoyed watching. The track is short enough for two laps, that would make it a little more interesting.
I did this type of racing at Dixie speedway in Woodstock GA. back in the 80's. They had a completely stock class where the driver had to show proof of insurance and registration. And a modified class where it was 'run watchable brung' .The crowd really got into it. Both classes.

I really want to take mine out there. It's stock but if I can get my axles and drive shaft straight maybe some better tires.... Maybe this will be a send off for my bad tires unless the track is such that I go flying into the wall.. If I could figure out how to do this without completely destroying my car, Maybe avoid to burn out contest... It would be an honor to go to that event. Not so sure about the one next week but the one 2 weeks after my birthday for sure...

That Subaru has a built full sti swap. It’s not stock by any means that’s for sure. Theres a lot of work done to that car. Def ultimate sleeper tho. Wouldn’t expect that from an Outback
I wouldn't think anyone shows up to these in an unmodified car. Except maybe that C7 ZR1 from an older video.
My car needs axles and a drive shaft. It doesn't seem to like going fast presently. I might get that remedy because I've seriously been thinking about going around the track....... It's not even about whether you win or lose it's about if you give it you're all with your car that I get you respect...
