What's the gear ratio cadence like? Are the mechanical disc brakes good? Learn all about this bike and its pros and cons in this ebike review.
✅ My #1 Favorite Big Ebikes w/ pedals:

This channel is entertaining, informative, and an ADD paradise! As for the bike... step-through looks a bit spindly. I wonder how soon frame flex will overstress at that point.
garbage
He is such a nice guy, when the e bikes are not good, he does his best to find the positives. Over $2k, that would be a complete steal!... For the sellers who will be making bank off that $650 bike. I feel bad for the poor soul who buys it. Any price over $999 is too much, and that is being very generous. To be honest, this is the worst bike I think I've seen on the channel lol. I salute you for reviewing the best bikes, and the WORST e bikes out there!! 😂
Yeah for 2 grand you can get the wired freedom which crushes this thing in every way possible. Even for the sale price of this thing it still sucks.
Cool looking bike... sadly it's slow. Battery config is weird... no suspension? Deal breaker. Regular bike seat? Deal breaker. 90 miles on this bike you're gonna be hurting in more than once place.
Nice. Strange seeing the belt drive and no gear box. Also strange with the disk brakes but being mechanical and not hydraulic.
Niu is a big mobility company, who make a lot of very nice electric mopeds, etc. Their products are starting to be carried a dealers in the US, and by Best Buy. No idea what customer service or support is like, but at least they're not another fly-by-night ebike operation
I would buy the Async H7 over this tho(similar design/fit&finish looks comparable/mid-drive/gears/front suspensh)
I have the niu GT EVO electric moped. It goes 65mph and peaks at 10000 watts. Range is decent thanks to the 3.7kwh battery. Little expensive compared to a gas powered equivalent which would be a 150cc or 125 but really solid bike. It's just annoying to change the rear tire.
It almost appears to me like the people in comment section have no idea who Niu is. They're basically Segway competitor. For this price this is as good as it gets. They even have a 2-year warranty including engine and battery and everything is high quality on the bike even the belt is top of the line Gates carbon belt.
@@helix9268 I know who they are, it's just this bike is poor value compared to what's out there
love these honest reviews, I'm a tall guy at 6'6" with a bad back, by watching this I know I'll be in pain for weeks riding that bike
I feel like there is defiantly better for the money out there. Thanks for review though, it really makes a difference for people looking for getting into this.
No thanks. CAN'T HANDLE HILLS.
Belt drive doesn't mean one gear, internal gears work fine with belts, they can build the motor around internal cassette, or put the internal caseate outside motor, or use front motor.
The Priority Current bike is belt driven with internal Shimono, a supposed 500 w nom, 140nm motor, (hard believing that)
Expensive bike about 3400!
Entertaining channel, I already got my bike but love the reviews!
Maybe true but price vs performance.....
I'd never buy that bike, but I wanted tall/happy knowing belt derive doesn't mean one gear as he stated in vid, he's normally the MOST informed in this market
I think the stats on that bike of full of crap btw, that torque claim looks like a typo a 500w motor@@rabbithomesteading3797
Priority Current is one ugly looking bike
Matt, Thanks for this bike review. I was going to take it for a test drive here in San Diego, and you answered all my questions in regards to this bike. I wish there were more bikes with the gates drive.
What's awesome to hear, sounds like you're doing your job tailhappy! Great videos you make
great vid. this Ebike kind of suck . not impressed....peace out
Fair enough 😂

Very cool. In Germany bikes like these are facing a huge bureaucracy. This bikes costs 8000€ (8500$) in Germany.

That $2199 retail price is ridiculous, but for a thousand bucks, i think it would be really good for a commuter bike if you use it in an area thats pretty flat and paved.
But even the $1000 price range is getting crowded with some decent bikes now
At $2199, this can’t even compete with wired freedom, even with $900 off at $1299, I still think there are better e-bikes out there.

$900 off means they are trying to get rid of inventory, who the hell would buy this at the original MSRP when something like the Wired Freedom exists.

You got a great job just reviewing e-bikes that's sweet
I know right while we are here killing ourselves as slaves working regular jobs
I love him but hate saying after you review a top tier all others suck and he may not get bikes as much ect... and hope he dont rely on it. But he is informative and true and hope subscribers like him for that which I do!
You should be mentioning the rates weight capacities of the bikes.

it's weird how he's always using both hands to point.
No hydraulic brake and no suspension at all😂
You should try out an Edison bike. They're made in Atlanta Georgia, bafang motor and hydraulic brakes. Hotel I stayed at in Atlanta had them for guests and it was decent. Definitely not as powerful as my nomad but still fun
Everyone tosses around the word pro. 😂
After the wired freedom all other bikes seem like a joke. I hate to say that or harm him from getting other bikes. But its true so IDK. He is honest though. All his reviews give me education and entertainment too. Even if not up to spar or expensive.
Well, if you want to stay legal(no more than 28mph), and have more confidence that your battery isn’t going to burst into fire(UL certified), then velotric nomad is the better choice, also it’s a lot cheaper than wired freedom, and it’s free shipping.
Wish they had a standover version?
Mashallah ♥️♥️♥️

@@Minacious_Shenanigans interesting comment from somebody who calls themself allah.
Can you stay at 28 mph steadily with pedaling I think I missed it.
not really, can't keep up with gearing at that speed but can ghost pedal
Outfitting the belt without transmission seems like a costly mistake.
@@helix9268 this is a heavy bike, an IGH would have made it much more useful.
Not your run of the mill Ebike. Thanks.
In the sense that it's not a cheap Chinese bike and it's made by a name brand company you're right.
This bike is not worth 2000usd, I have found better bikes with the same battery, same power or more and getting hydraulic breaks, and even some alot of good drives for less than this bike idk just seems very expensive (I know it's on special now but for what you get it's really expensive)
Good review as usual. For your garage hill test, you should do pedaling from near bottom of hill instead of 17mph rollout. It is a short hill. A good bike will let you accelerate all the way to top (with pedaling). It seems like a light bike which should be possible to make it. Any bike with 17mph rollout will make it, and so not a test of anything.
You didn't give weight, but it seems light (70lbs!!!! yuck 64lbs with 1 battery). Terrible gearing completely contradicts the advantage of a light bike though. Obviously 15mph PAS setting would at least provide useful pedaling, so a complete disgrace that they don't have that setting as default. There is a market/high value for a road/commuter thin tire ebike with good rack, but it has to be light, with decent pedaling at 20mph, with higher pedal-able speed a big bonus.
Frame looks great with great dual batteries. Ultra premium display. Drive train is unfortunate garbage.
Ive grown to really enjoy your reviews, actually my favorites.
However, I just ordered my latest E Bike, one that I can not find on your channel and hope you will to hear your opinion.
I ordered the Juiced Rip Current S. 52 Volt, 19.2 AH advertised as Torque and Cadence sensor. Cruise Control.
Hope you can find one to show me how this thing works. Looking forward to it.
Methinks they're a bit too proud of their product. Even for the sale price! Nice Moggie btw. Out for a cruise no doubt...
Would love to see you do a review of the Aosirmotor Hero if you can get your hands on one. Nobody has reviewed this bike of 52 volts with a 1000 watt motor.
Hey man love your content! Could you please do a full in depth review of monday motorbikes peizo? I have seen you do a short review of it before but I want to know the realistic range test
Hello, not sure if things have changed, but back when I racing road bikes and repairing them the part that tightens the front wheel and back wheels was called the skewer the lever is one part of that assembly.
You should be mentioning the rates weight capacities of the bikes.
So basically this is a bike for James May (of Top Gear fame) 😁
Keep'em coming👍 how about the juiced rip current id like to see your take on that one cheers 🍻
Nireeka mega, Nireeka mega, NIREEKA MEGA.
The Green Car is a Morgan made in the UK !😀
Given this bike is receiving a lot of flak as a bad option, does anyone know of a better ebike with a belt drive at $1300? For that price it seems fine, but I’d like to know what I should be looking at instead.
Aventon
hi! do you buy all these bikes or do you get them lent? or do the manufacturers give them free to you? thx.
He is sent them for free and paid for the review and is allowed to keep the bike.
I would never buy a bike like that.
man ive always wanted a ebike
Nu Boi Pro
The thing is some of the best bicycles you introduce like wire or this is not available in Canada 😢
Because Canada has terrible ebike laws, just like here in the UK. We are only officially allowed 250w motors and 25kph but nobody actually follows that law and it's not enforced
Niu has a shop in Canada. 770 College St, Toronto, ON M6G 1C6, Canada

It’s a very good looking bike and I really like the belt drive. I don’t mind the single speed, personally I only use one gear on my E bike but then I only ride on the street and I do 90% minimum without ever turning a pedal but for $2100 I think the lack of, a real suspension at least on the front and having two batteries that don’t even match the storage capacity I get from one of my two batteries which are 20 amp hours each and the lack of hydraulic brakes, I don’t think it’s a super bargain. The current sale price is probably closer to what it should be retail.
They havent looked around I guess. Feel bad for anybody spending $2100 for this compared to others. @@helix9268
