jinz0001 i got my american akita when he was a month old my first ever dog, he was a nightmare at first (not house trained) hes 14 months now absolutely huge but the best dog ever i wouldnt ever get a different breed
jinz0001 yeah didnt last long bout 4-5 months but i was also changing his diet at the time seeing whats best for him , wouldnt change him for the world i just had a baby when i got him so i took on a big task lol but hes the best so loyal and looks after my baby like its his own
I love my akita but I'd agree they're generally not best suited as a first time dog. They're very stubborn and highly intelligent. Unless you have time to invest in one, you'd be better served getting an 'easier' dog.
jinz0001 i leave him either with my girlfriend or my grandparents i couldnt leave him alone he would destroy everything lol especially when he was a baby , maybe see if a family member could look after ? Must introduce the family member to the akita at a young age tho, my akita is only affectionate and obeys who looks after him lol
jinz0001 if your mum could keep an eye on him til youve built a trust with the dog to leave him alone ? My grandparents are very social always go to the gym and outcouple hours everyday it will take time but these things do, they leave him alone quite alot now we dont put no gates up in front room(where theres carpet) just let him roam free he can be trusted now, i come home and the git is fast asleep in the front room, meant to be a guard dog !! Haha
No it does not stop lying or acting like you know stuff, Akita are bred away from fighting history unlike other of the big three of dogs apbt and tosa... they do not just go fighting anything that moves awkward.
@@truckasaurus8948 yea mine tried to kill me the first time we met now is terrified of me and respects me enough to only stalk the bad dogs at park now not try and kill them
Can someone tell me how long does it take an American akita to properly bulk out I have a male and he's 14 month old and 40kg he is lean but doesn't look chunky
It was sorta impolite of you to get close to people while filming. Just a friendly reminder the next time you film like that at a public event. But thanks for the video!
Sorry if I did something rude. I didn't think anything and took videos. American Akitas at Crufts were very very beautiful. So I approached to people and dogs very very close but I didn't think about anything. There were many ladies. very sorry.
I've always felt the Akita was a truly majestic breed and this video reinforces that. They are so beautiful.
Possibly the best group of Akitas; Head, structure and color I have ever seen.
So many beautiful Akitas in one area
Wow, an all-Akita dogshow. Is this heaven? I think it is!
Man what beautiful animals! I have 3 Akitas, they are the most loyal, loving dogs I could ever hope for.

Thank you for sharing this facinating breed. 👍
Those dogs are gorgeous I everyway the way they walk with thee head so confident I love it
Impressed with the training...takes a lot of work to get an Akita to this sort of social level.

@@The_Superpack I agree. It's really not that hard. Just gotta start young and be consistent.

@@The_Superpack Your last message oddly made me laugh 😂
Easily the best dogs in show..
If dog shows were actually won by the most impressive dogs, Akitas would win a lot more...
This is where the new "most viewed" feature becomes really cursed.
Big bosses
Beautiful 🇺🇸 akitas
Such beautiful dogs!
In a beauty contest, an Akita can win against a puddle but in obedience ??

Ugh, can't watch. Camera bouncing all over the place makes me nauseous. 😣😣😣
American Akita is much more big boned than Japanese Akita
I think so.
Many years ago the Akita was bred with the Japanese Tosa and other mastiff breeds hence the heavy bone structure!
@@a.c.6475 yep tosa of which has bull terrier and later on apbt in it.
Can sum1 help me where u can buy one from thank you
3rd day of having my puppy storm 7 weeks old sleeping all day
My Akita developed chronic runny nose, it’s clear. Does anyone have experience like this? My doctor doesn’t know why.
Allergies?

Pasa la cámara más a los botes de basura y traseros de las damas que a los perros.
do they shed
cowboyfan dallas only twice a year
Um , yes!
They shed but they don't smell, you can easily get two garbage bags of fur during their shedding seasons
They "blow" their coat usually in fall and late spring. Kinda funny really. Generally though the shedding before and after is pretty minimal
Sin akitas de 8 meses o están muy chaparros
La verdad los veo muy bajos o acaso ya están hechando a perder la raza
Are the black ones not recognized.....?
on 11 min. like my Akita she iw 50% from her mother

No need to apologize. I'm just letting you know. And yes, Akitas are beautiful dogs! Again, thanks for this video! I really appreciate it!
