Julian, in a pinch you can use denatured alcohol to clean the surface first. I know its tough to get rubbing alcohol right now. However if you use acetone or anything else to that nature, it can end up leaving a film which can affect the adhesive
So do you think it's necessary to put one on a tracker super guide v-16 it's a aluminum boat I manly bass fish with it. It's a shallow v so I can fish lake Michigan and rivers with it. Whats you think apply or not. Thanks
Dylan, I've had my KeelShield on my Tracker TV18 for 5 years with zero issues. As long as you prepare the surface per the instructions you're good to go!

You can add a little silicone around the edges of your keelshield to make it bulletproof!
Keel protection is very important for sure man.

The marina near me said the adhesive doesn’t really stick to aluminum boats.

Make sure to use a heat gun to really get the adhesive primes for the aluminum and use it some on the hull of your boat
