    This is actually a very good demo of this synthesiser. No preset scrolling, no tedious listing of geeky features but a fun and musical demonstration . I have a much better idea now of what it can do.

    I'd love to have such a feature in my rack, where you can dub new notes... thanks for sharing, cool feature demo of the polybrute

    This is how I started writing music, it took me a while to get into chord progressions. I always appreciate adding to my existing knowledge because you always learn simmering, either new or forgotten. Classical music and music with loads of complex rhythms (like my Caribbean music) often follow this? The complications are actually a free d simple things going at the same time

    How do you build a triad with 2 oscillators? 🤔
    Does the PolyBrute also have the arpeggiated sequencer known from the MatrixBrute?

    • @Trottelheimer
      @Trottelheimer 4 года назад +2

      Yes - the Matrix Arpeggiator is there.

    • @MIDERA
      @MIDERA 3 года назад +1

      ...it has 2 oscillators, but 6 voices (each with 2 oscillators). So you should be able to build triads pretty simply.

      It's a poly synth, you only need multiple oscillators to build various chords with mono synths

    • @RayyMusik
      @RayyMusik 3 года назад

      Oh really, one can play triads on a poly synth? Revolutionary! [/sarcasm]
      But this was about to build fixed triads on *one* voice by detuning the OSCs in perfect intervals (Minimoog or MatrixBrute-style).

      @@RayyMusik that was sarcastic, not ironic

    "Beautiful stuff" indeed. I have a super random question: Can I also use the Polybrute as a midi controller for my daw? would be nice to put that together, so I don't need to have two keyboards for producing...

    • @ThomannSynthesizers
      @ThomannSynthesizers  3 года назад +1

      Polybrute, like most synths produces midi notes when you play the keyboard and you can take these from the midi out into your DAW to play softsynths or other pieces of hardware.
      When it comes to controlling DAW functions it might be helpful to buy a small additional midi controller with some poties and faders. But yes, you won't necessarily need an additional Midi Keyboard.

    Can two layers that play at the same time have their own ASDR settings? So a two program stack like prophet 12 or rev 2 can do?

    • @BarryBlotto
      @BarryBlotto 2 года назад

      That is correct. Every function (including ASDR) can be programmed and dialed in on two different layers and morphed between with the twist of a dial. The dial can also be modulated.
