Why I Quit Social Media [Kult America]

- The average internet user spends about 24 hours of their week online, which is an absurd amount of time. In that same amount of time I road horses in Lesko, went bobsledding in Przemyśl, cycled on the Green Velo trail, enjoyed zip lining near Rzeszow, sailed in Solina, peddled train bikes in Bieszczady, and rafted in Sanok. I’m not passing judgement for being online, I just think its worth reconsidering ones priorities given the fact that life is so short. When I’m not on my computer, I’m probably in Podkarpackie :)

So if you do decide to take a break from the online world and would like to recreate my adventure here is a list of the attractions!
San to jedna z najważniejszych rzek Polski, gówna arteria południa, obok Wisły (czy Bugu), a tan głuptas z pontonu opowiada ci o tym, że przez 3 lata wojny była granicą pomiędzy sowietami i faszystami z Niemiec, jednym słowem nie ma pojęcia o tej rzece, Po jednej i po drugiej stronie Sanu, zawsze była Polska, bez względu na czasu, dopiero komuniści przyłączyli część Polskich Ziem do sowieckiej Ukrainy, ale odzyskamy. Pozdro.
Tyrolka w parku linowym "Leśny Tabor" a nie nad Jeziorem Tarnobrzeskim... Przy okazji zapraszamy na festiwal. Zdrowia Ryan. Wbijaj ! GRASZ BÓR Festiwal

Yeah, that is on platform in particular that I don’t enjoy. All the superficial exploitation makes me nervous.
I wonder for how long will you live without Instagram ....if you go back to it it would be ...a failure. Try to be adamant.

@@magdabilla kiedys moja kolezanka mowila, ze siedziala na komputerze caly dzien i tylko zmarnowala swoj czas i tylek ja rozbolal bo obudowa kompa byla bardzo mala w stosunku do jej duzego tylka. Po czym dodala, komputer nie zadzialal jak z niego zeszlam. Byla z Turci i zle zrozumiala co znaczy siedziec na komputerze. Do dzis opowiada te historie znajomym i wszyscy mamy ubaw po pachy. :)

What scares me the most that is it becoming culturally not acceptable to be not on social media or against its power in our lives and our children's lives.
I feel the same. I know I am getting left out of events that are organised there but if I don't get invited I guess they are not real friends. :)
These are no social media anymore. We are nothing more than just a records in marketing campaigns database.

Dawno Cię nie widziałem i postanowiłem dowiedzieć się, co nowego tworzysz. No i proszę, świetny dojrzały, troszkę filozoficzny obrazek. To o czym mówisz, jest bardzo ważne. Nie twierdze tu, że możemy uciec od technologi, bo to nie jest możliwe. Niemniej jednak ważne jest dzielenie się to świadomością, że jesteśmy w pilnej potrzebie szukania dróg równoważenia niezdrowej strony nowych trendów. Jestem pewny, że wiesz co to jest Neuralink i co ta firma potencjalnie nam może przynieść. Mowie o tym, żeby podkreślić jak ważne jest tworzenie świadomości o zagrożeniach technologi i szukaniu równowagi w jej użytkowaniu. Gratuluje filmiku i serdecznie pozdrawiam Cię i rodzinkę.

I sailed these rafts.It's awesome adventure. It's great that you love our beautiful region.Maybe we aren't Alabama or something like that but we have many interesting and worth seeing places.I'm really like Balkans.Bieszczady have similar looks to Bosnia - wild forest and mountains where is mix of culture and languages.This is amazing and I feel proud that I have such a good place near city where I living.

Nature is real, it is not Disneyland. Watching your video made me realize that we both share love of eastern Poland and its nature. I grew up on the river Bug river which is similar to San river and it is a official and natural border between Poland and Ukraine/Belarus. The Bug river is wild, unpredictable, always changing its course, with small islands in the middle where you can see beautiful cranes. On Bug shores, you will see fisherman trying to catch a cat fish or a pike. Next time, when you are in Włodawa or Okuninka in Lubelskie, take a kayak trip from Zbereże to Rożanka on the Bug river, In the middle of your kayak trip, you will see amazing vistas of Włodawa - a town of three cultures with its Catholic church and monastery, Russian-Orthodox church, and Jewish Synagogue.

Moderation is a key to healthy lifestyle. Looking from broader perspective the world is attractive but you need a passion to discover it yourself.

I quit SM a few years ago now. The coders design the apps and websites to get users literally addicted. RUclips has a serious dark side too but it adds enough value that I consume carefully. I now read, cycle, and even simply ponder the universe more than before. Highly recommend keeping the apps deleted and inactive unless very limited time for keeping in touch with family and true friends
Well, Facebook is dying anyway - most people are on Insta. There is a lot of handmade ideas and creative material that I find on this platform. You definitely changed in your last videos, in a positive way, you seem more calm. Keep posting videos like this, thank you 💖

Iv never even had social media . So i cannot compare. But i new from day 1 it looked like the most boring thing to do i have ever seen. That and join the gym. No one realises that the only one who cares about what your doing the most is you. everything someone sees is second hand and only joyful if everyone else thinks it was amazing. My girlfriend is Polish. I am learning but very slowly. Good message anyway man.

Great. Being in Poland makes you wiser and more confident !!!! You don’t need social media unless you make money on it or boosts your fragile self esteem.
But....learn more in Poland. Learn about Hegel’s dialectic philosophy that says:
Every real step forward goes across three steps: thesis, antithesis and synthesis.
Thesis - I like social media.
Antithesis - I don’t like social media
Synthesis - I use some social media and it is permanent.
Very many people go to antithesis and turn back to thesis after a while. That is why if someone says he is on the antithesis phase ....on 90% he will get back to the thesis so the others should not take is seriously.

No Ryan. Czy Rysiek. Zaimponowałeś mi. Ja już dawno odrzuciłem telefon i tego typu rozrywki, lecz całkiem z tego nie zrezygnowałem. Mam tylko Facebook innych nawet nie zakładałem. To jest narzędzie komunikacji ale dla silnych osób które mają coś do przekazania innym. Za mało odkrywam Podkarpackie, ale to się zmieni.

Good idea...I do that often...just leave my phone and do stuff like lawnmowing...walking with dog ...and after few hrs just checkin my device to realize that nobody rang me...txt me...and nothing interesting on FB either...

Great !! But please add English language subtitles when Polish people talking and when you talking in Polish. Why? For every person understanding English. I think that you did awesome thing to wipe out your presence from other “Time and life !!!! Consuming social media”. Myself I did wiped my presence on the other social media platforms years ago.Why??? I did realised that/it take may life away. But it is my opinion. I do not want any fans of social media punish me for what I have said. Every one is the blacksmith of their own future and life. I do hope that one day I/we will be able to speak in person. Wszystko co powiedziałeś w tym filmie to prawda ale nie wziąłeś pod uwagę tego, że wszystkie aktywności w których brałeś udział łącznie kosztowały około 500 zł czyli około 1/4 wypłaty przeciętnego Polaka. Między innymi dlatego ludzie częściej wybierają socialmedia niż takie atrakcje ponieważ najzwyczajniej nie mają tyle pieniędzy żeby spędzać czas w taki sposób.
No tak, ale można wybrać coś na swoją kieszeń. Nawet rowerem zwiedzać swoje okolice. Sam się przekonałem już dawno temu że nawet kilka kilometrów dalej może być inny świat, tylko o tym nie wiedziałem bo nigdy się tam nie zapuszczałem. Zresztą nie tylko o zwiedzanie chodzi. Jak ktoś spędza codziennie 1-2-3 albo i więcej godzin w social mediach to gdyby wykroił z tego czasu choćby kwadrans, pół godziny czy godzinę dziennie na naukę czegoś wartościowego jak np. naukę obcego języka, rysowania, grania na instrumencie, programowania, ćwiczenia fizyczne czy czegokolwiek innego, to mogłoby to otworzyć zupełnie nowe doświadczenia i możliwości w życiu.

I've got Instagram and Facebook but I hardly ever use them to just sit and watch. I use them more to communicate with friends and just get to know how they doing, before I was using it 9/10h a day.... horrible 😐😐
