3 Tips For Any Catering Event

  • Here are the top 3 things you need to do for before a big catering event.
    1. Preparation is the Key: you’ve got to start prepping days beforehand if you’re serving a lot of people.
    2. Know the Event Details: if you’re planning on feeding lots of people at once, it’ll need different planning than if the meals get spaced out.
    3. Timing is Everything: Even if you have to set up everything in stages, you’ve got to plan accordingly.
    We’re planning to serve more than 9,000 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic this week. You think we did all this without f***ing planning?
    Anything worth doing should be done the right way. Period.
    Chef Mike

    Me and the team cater for 750 - 1,000 people per day. I agree with everything this man is saying. Prep, prep, prep. One thing I will add is people must be trained well on the menu. There just isn't enough time sometimes to train mid service. Worked at some places where people are just winging it with recipes. LOL 😅

    Catering is hard. Even after 3 years as a cook the catering orders over 3000$ are ridiculous and never really got easier. Especially when your have to open for the regular customers at the same time. In the beginning of my cooking i had a catering go out an hour late with missing items with that order.

    I manage to do together with my wife a 900 pax event and the food had to be served from 08:00 to 13:00. There was a sandwich, a juice and a fruit. We managed to make it and everyone was happy. I've had one of the biggest emotion in my life, after 36 hours of craziness we managed to go to sleep. Of course there were many things we prepared days before. It was an amazing experience anyway 💪💪💪💪

      Great question.
      * The money is in Catering however, you need to be experienced in the/your business.
      * You can do a "catering only" business. We have lots of those here in Boston. All you do is Catering jobs. It can be business lunches or weddings, baby showers etc. You decide what type of customer you want.
      Best of luck with your business.

    Why’s everyone talking about fish and chips

    • @lightningstrike6398
      @lightningstrike6398 Год назад

      If i remember correctly In one of his older videos he talked about how his food truck is a sandwich food truck and even though he has the capability and material to make a fish and chip meal he wouldn't change the fish sandwich meal that came with chips to just be fish and chips and people thought he was being annoying and condescending because of the way he was speaking in the video so as a joke they started asking for fish and chips or asking if his food van made fish and chips etc. in the comment section and its been going on for months now and its just kind of annoying tbh
