It does not get any better than Jackie Mason. A true creator. A true genius. Funny Funny Funny. Thanks Jackie. You make this world a much better place. Bravo!
Hard to believe that I watched this show live...but I did. Seems like maybe 12 years ago...but it was actually, what? 55 years ago! Unbelievable! I love Jackie Mason!
Ohmygosh! I didn't remember the Hollywood Palace! We used to watch this like clockwork every week! Man Elizabeth Montgomery was so beautiful and classy...so sad she died so young1
Jackie I love the fact your on youtube! Its wonderful to have a forum where you can speak your mind, share your past work and let us know where we can see you....Thank you!
wow i wasnt born yet. thanks for maiking feel a little younger. and thanks for the releasing this upload. as i said before most of us wouldn't have had the opertunity to see your talents.
I totally disagree with him politically but he IS funny. THAT is the mark of freedom. Being able to listen to and comment on opposing views, no matter how anathema those views may be to our own.
Jackie, What a hilarious clip. You did a great physical Sullivan. I believe 1966 was the first year for full color on network TV. The quality of this clip is excellent. It it a kinescope?
So you've seen him before, yet you came looking for him again? Expecting a different result? You ever seen his impression of Ed Sullivan? It's classic!
HEY!! At the beginning of this video there is 3 seconds of my friend the late Pat Anthony and his mixed cat act.It starts at 0:24. I would love to see more video of his act in this show. If you can help please drop me a line? Thanks!
Oooh, Samantha...my boyhood crush, and I was bron in 1981! haha. I would sometimes fake sick to stay home and watch Bewitched reruns. As a Liberal Socialist and all that, but also a Jew (duh!) I think Jackie Mason is hilarious.
That was a different era. Political comedy back in the day is not what it is now. I'm not that old, but some things don't translate. Remember the Carol Burnett Show or any other variety show. It makes no sense now. Even those old comedy roasts are dead boring. The younger generation may not appreciate this, but others sure do. Just like some old school hip-hop head don't listen to Soldier Boy, etc..
how often do u see someone who has the audience in the palm of their hand and they tell him he has to get off? great segue where he brings up the ed sullivan event and then gets off. yes, mr. - i'm talking to you.....
mentions george bush, ronald reagan, and governor romney in the same bit... if only he didn't mention nixon, many ppl would've been inclined to believe this was filmed recently
@vibraharp226 haha, yes - you are a true hero for thinking that someone isn't funny. Maybe a lot of people find him really funny (like me) and you don't? Trying to define good comedy is impossible so if you don't like Jackie, don't click on his youtube clips. Easy.
@Pookatube Good observation about Mason's accent. I didn't know he was from Milwaukee, I thought he was born in Brooklyn. Nevertheless, the accent is poor horseshit. It's been part of his act from the beginning.
Once upon a time... Jackie Mason was a very funny guy. [frequent guest on Ed Sullivan 1960-'61]. I actually liked his act. His Ed Sullivan impressions were hilarious. Alas, Jackie Mason, a racist & bigoted (73) year old fool [2009-'10]. I detest the man's racist, bigoted and narrowminded views. 'It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." M. Twain
Very true. Certain artists get a reputation for excellence, and rare is the objective observer who will point out that the king has no clothes. Many of Mason's defenders will respond to this criticism with "oh, it's a generational thing." I'm not buying it. The delivery (choppy, one-liners) gets tiresome quickly, but above all the content is incredibly LAME. The heart of good comedy is an ability to make profound observations about the (often silly) human condition, a skill Mason sorely lacks.
Am I crazy or is this a dying/dead artform. You can see Mason peppering the audience with thought fragments raising and lowering their reactions. I feel like I'm watching Benny Leonard. Who does that today.
Too bad Mason has evolved into a know-nothing partisan big mouth. He was funny -- like here -- when he was dishing it out on both sides of political table. Now? He's not funny at all.
When did Mason lose his sharpness and become a Republican stooge? He was so good before his recent bizarre shift. He made fun of Reagan and Nixon. I doubt he would have called Sarah Palin "brilliant" years ago.
What a great entertainer Jackie was, a true comedic genius. RIP our friend.
RIP Mr. Mason. May your memory be a blessing.
It does not get any better than Jackie Mason. A true creator. A true genius.
Funny Funny Funny.
Thanks Jackie. You make this world a much better place. Bravo!

I could listen to him all day.
Ohmygosh! I didn't remember the Hollywood Palace! We used to watch this like clockwork every week! Man Elizabeth Montgomery was so beautiful and classy...so sad she died so young1
Her father, Robert Montgomery, is one of my all time favorites.

I love Jackie's Ed suliivan imitation. Just cracks me up. Great comedic timing. One of my favorites for sure.
Wow Samantha/ Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched looked beautiful.
He's great!
That was funny. Jackie Mason - you always were funny and you still are! And the jokes in this routine are just as timely as ever!
Topical political humour that is still funny over 40 years later!
Jackie has a thick Yiddish Accent, and he was a native Milwaukean.

Thanks for a great posting. Talking about Romney running for President, this could have been filmed yesterday.

Did anyone else laugh at the Presidents/Plumbers line when they realized that this was recorded before the Nixon Administration?
And that's how you do political comedy.

Funniest Man Ever 🌎☀️
Bulletin from October, 1966: Elizabeth Montgomery is hot.
By the sound of it; the show was taped in late 1967 or early 1968. WOW. And Jackie is still basically doing the same schtick!
my boyfriend would love to have this orchestral music follow him around all day like his own theme tune lol
I totally disagree with him politically but he IS funny.
THAT is the mark of freedom. Being able to listen to and comment on opposing views, no matter how anathema those views may be to our own.
Jackie has been spot on for a long time. This wasn't his funniest gig.His broadway shows and his political youtube commentaries are hilarious.
If any of you would like to see me on the Milton Berle Show next month, write to him and tell him about it.

Wow... Elizabeth Montgomery is so much taller than Jackie Mason! lol
Yup Gleason was Honeymooners and Sheriff Bufford T. Justice from Smokey and the Bandit!
I like Jackie Mason, but I don't know if he's the 'ultimate Jew' - that's a title that should be reserved for Rodney Dangerfield.
Oooh, Samantha...my boyhood crush, and I was bron in 1981! haha. I would sometimes fake sick to stay home and watch Bewitched reruns.
As a Liberal Socialist and all that, but also a Jew (duh!) I think Jackie Mason is hilarious.
I hope you grew up out of your liberal socialism!

Click my name to find a "video" about crooked politics.
Worst mumbler in show business. Damned if I can make out what he's trying to say.
When did Mason lose his sharpness and become a Republican stooge? He was so good before his recent bizarre shift. He made fun of Reagan and Nixon. I doubt he would have called Sarah Palin "brilliant" years ago.
Now you understand how we feel about all of Hollywood!
Flojoe, you are the stooge. Mason has always been great.
When did Democrats become traitors?
Damn, this guy is good. I don't like him but there is no question that he is good.
WTF asssholle? If he's good why not like him ??
This is in the 60s. His English still sucks in 2017.
you idiot...….his English is fine. He's mimicking a Jewish accent, you moron.
so do you
