- Slash's rise to rock royalty featured a variety of iconic Gibson models, but it was the 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck that both diversified his sound and solidified his guitar-god aesthetic.
He bought it from a small music store in Indiana in 1990 and put it into rotation almost immediately. Using the natural chime and chorus of the twelve-string neck and composing epic solos on the other, it became a favorite tool for studio and stage and an indelible part of Slash's sound.
Gibson is proud to present this exacting replica of the original guitar, constructed and aged by the skilled craftspeople of the Custom Shop in Nashville, TN. Only 125 models will be sold worldwide, each hand-signed and numbered by Slash himself.

Tbh I can’t believe it took Gibson this long to do this Slash Signature. I Remember seeing him do ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ On it way back in the day (early 90’s) a long time ago.
Baz They prob didn’t find it as iconic enough as Jimmy’s and they figure that wouldn’t sell as much again do to originality, but Slash has his own vibe and fans and they probably decided to take a second look. Cost of production is a lot on these beasts too, especially the guy that relics them.
Actually the second Slash signature. He had a Honey Les Paul done years back.

Salman Airlangga he did yes. That was one of the first Slash Signatures (if not the first) and it was done by both Gibson & Epiphone

First time I saw slash play his double neck sg was at that Freddie mercury remembrance gig in 1992... I was 12 and totally blown away by the 12 string intro of heavens door then he roars into the chorus and solo with the 6 string I videotaped it and remember watching it over and over again for about 2 years after that!

Get a Epiphone sound is close to a Gibson. Although Gibson sounds slightly better I couldn't justify the 2000.00 cost in difference in a les paul. I could see paying 500-800 over and above Epiphone maybe but not 2000.00-3000.00. So a double neck guitar from Gibson v.s Epiphone sound wise couldn't be much of a great difference other then price. If your guitar playing is making you Slasher money then I'd say go for it but if your just playing small gigs or at home playing I wouldn't drop 13,000+ on one, I'd get double neck by Epiphone instead.

Brenton Hobson the same thing without the signature with aaaaaall the mark-ups costs approx $6k. Maybe 7.5k aged. So yeah. You’re paying well, not 12 grand but 7 just for the signature.
