    A few weeks ago I suddenly felt like going to the church for a week straight. My life is going well so I didn't go because I wanted something from God. I had a few weeks off, so I thought it was about time to work on my faith. Anyway, the first 2 days were the hardest but on the 3rd day I was actually very excited to wake up early to attend mass because every time I walk out of the church I felt so happy. The next few days were the weirdest, because my cousins tried to stop me from going. More things happened and it became more and more visible that the devil didn't want me to go. Especially on that Friday, there was this crazy man who wanted to disturb us. While the priest was celebrating mass he started to laugh out loud, shout disrespecting words, and he even made weird signs with his hands. It was very creepy, I had goosebumps all over I seriously thought he was possessed. There were only like 5 people in the church and I could see how the other church goers were also scared. I didn't want to be distracted or pay any attention to him so I knelt down and prayed the Rosary. Finally, I made it to go to the church for a week. After that week was over, I stopped going daily and on the next Monday I felt empty. Some people think they are unfortunate or that God doesn't bless them so they stop going to church. What they don't realize is that the fact that they are able to attend mass is already a blessing. Finally, I also want to say that I think sometimes it can be good that God allows the devil to mess with us a bit, because it gives us a wake up call. Well, at least, for me it worked. I pray the Rosary like crazy now.

      Remember mass isn’t all about what you can get from God. There are people who need your prayers. Like evil people, the souls in purgatory, everyone you see around you. Everyone you’ve ever met. Do it for them. Because they have souls and your prayers could help them go to heaven.

I only like that I understand more where in Latin mass you just watch. I haven't had the privilege to hear the old mass again. I wish I can but it is very far from where I live

    I really want to receive the Holy Eucharist, I now know that God is truly there but I didn't know who Jesus was until after I got married (civil union) to my now husband, he doesn't want to get our marriage blessed through Holy Matrimony. We have two children and my oldest son already did his first communion and when I take him to mass , I ask him to walk up to the alter to receive Holy communion. My son says he doesn't want to go because I don't go. I don't know what to do. My husband doesn't want to get married. My mom says I should make a promise

    What is the purpose of the Lord's Table? You can understand it clearly from the verses in 1Corinthians 11:23-26 23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
    From these verses you can understand that there are two purposes. Purpose #1 - Do this in remembrance of me.
    Purpose #2: By participating in the Lords Table we are proclaiming the Lord's death until he comes.

    Pst! 51:17 Gabi's encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
    I will share my own experience for your edification (and my own): Years ago, I received the Holy Eucharist and went to the back of the church where I used to stand. I was going on faith that the Presence was real, not quite sure why. God was building up my faith. Some of the other people, having received Christ, would return to their places and kneel, so I did too for no real reason. On my knees, a sentence appeared in my mind. It was complete and immediate, like a thought (I'm translating from my language):
    "Who are you bowing to?

    • @edmonddantes5104
      @edmonddantes5104 4 года назад

      Thats because you stand when you are before God. Kneeling is a form of repentance. When you stand your head is bowed as before a King .This is commonly seen in the Orthodox Churchs but it used to be true even in older Roman Rite Churches before Trent or Vatican 1 even. During the Divine Liturgy or the Orthodox version of Mass its pretty common

    • @paxcoder
      @paxcoder 4 года назад

      @@edmonddantes5104 I'm pretty sure God was affirming His presence, rather than merely teaching me about form. I'd like to add that I recently saw an eastern liturgy where the priest, to my delight, bowed to the Holy Sacrament to the ground. Related: www.newadvent.org/cathen/06423a.htm

    Wow im a protestant, but I never heard this argument like that b4. Spiritual 🍖 Great job here. As the jews were completely confused in John 6. The way the he presented the argument, it is the way we Protestants say that its just symbolic. Whats crazy is that in John 6:66 is when they walked away from Jesus 🤔 😭666 👀 🤯
    Coincidence? I mean wow' I know the Bible wasn't written in chapters and divisions. But the ones that walked away literally land on 6:66. WOW...
    And I have learned from protestants teachers while i was talking a class on the book of revelation. He said the slander in ancient times to the early Christians was that they were cannibals...
    I've never 4got when he said that. Bc I started to think this is what I've heard a lot of protestant pastors say about Catholicism. That if its Jesus body then catholics are cannibals.
    Food for thought 💯
    God bless u all 🙏🏼💯

However, our goal should be to become saints and do our best to improve and we should be thankful that we have people like him that can teach us the best way to respect our God 🥰 don’t you think it’s a bit prideful to think he is just exaggerating and put excuses to not try our best to be the best version of ourselves?

    If the premise you are trying to convey about the congregation not receiving the blood were true then the priest should be able to abstain from receiving the blood as well. If the whole body and blood are in the host, then why does the priest need to receive the wine?😉

      Curtis House read it and you’ll see. We can’t add or subtract to His Word. It’s not our doctrine is His doctrine. Even Jesus could only say and do what the Word said. This is elementary. If we start deviating from only biblical principles then anyone can add whatever suits their liking.

    I have a question can anyone answer me?
    1. Jesus shed His last drop of blood for us on the cross. He died and He resurrected in a Glorious body. He went up to Heaven in His glorious body. And now from where did the flesh and blood comes from in eucharist?
    1 Corinthians 15:50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
    1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
    Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
    2. Christ gave His last drop of blood to purchase us. Now are you saying, He didn't shed His whole blood but reserve His blood to serve to people to drink at eucharist?

      I'm glad to see someone here gets it. Nicodemus didn't understand what Christ meant by being "born again" because he lacked the Holy Spirit and Catholics are in that same position on the Eucharist. The mass is found nowhere in Scripture. If there were people participating in the mass, the New Testament would have described it in detail. Instead, what we see is followers breaking bread when they met.

    He is the bread of life and also the water that will quench our thirst. Is he actually a piece of bread or a glass of water? Nope. Symbolic. Jesus told Nicodemus that every man must be born again. Nicodemus thought physically. But Jesus was clearly talking spiritually. This guy has no scripture to stand on regarding this teaching. Mans doctrine is what this is.

    • @jasonwalker500
      @jasonwalker500 5 лет назад

      Yes we must be born again, you left off the water that our Lord speaks of before the spirit, like in his very own baptism... Its always water and spirit!

      @Jlarios the Jehova's Witness. Read John 6:52-56 and learn The Jews then disputed among themselves , saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him." John 6:48-56
      You cannot teach Nicodemus' and say that Jesus meant the same then He says here,
      “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."
