No ads, no sponsors, no dude with out of shirt flexing talking for 10 mins, this is just straight to the point. Good luck to all trying to better themselves. I'm on 9 days STRAIGHT and i can see the improvement on my abs. These are legit !!!
For everyone who is questioning if this workout truly does work, I am pleased to say that it does. I have been doing these exercises everyday for about 2 months, and the results have been astounding. I have never found a program to work better than this. My advice to newcomers and fellow "gang members" would be to do each exercise precisely, and at your own pace, do these exercises consistently, meaning everyday, and to have a healthy diet with doing the 8 minute ab program. If so, I believe you will find your results to be as pleasing as mine. Good luck!
Still here in 2023 going strong! Best abs workout there is but don't forget that you can do this ever day for 20 years and not see any abs unless your diet is right.
For everyone who's neck hurts while doing this, try to concentrate on one spot on the ceiling and stay on it, you'll find it involves more tension on the abs than on the neck. Hope it helps gang!
I don't see anyone actually sticking with it and giving updates on results... I'm going to be updating all of you on this journey. I found this in high school 10 years back and never stuck with it. Now is the time. Today is New Years Eve and we're all going to get that 6 pack this year! About me: 6'5 and 230 lbs. I was tall and skinny. I purposely put on extra weight to fill out my body. Not fat, I'm a pretty normal body type. I went from 177 to 230 in about 3 months (I naturally have a super fast metabolism, so I had to eat a ton every few hours to put the weight on). I've never been more confident in terms of not feeling skinny for my height. Day 1: Did this yesterday. The workout went well. The toughest part I'd say are the leg pushes. Make sure you use like a folded blanket or workout mat below you so you don't hurt yourself. Also, don't swing your legs like he says. Controlled movements. Day 2: I just finished the workout. When he says "squeeze" you need to listen. You should be focusing all of your energy on your abs during each separate routine. If you're squeezing you'll feel the burn much more and it is tougher but you know it's working. I feel like when you don't squeeze as you're doing the routine you're just running through the motions and selling yourself short. Everything is a controlled movement so pay attention to the minor details. Also, during the last curl, the video skips about 20 seconds. Do not stop when he says stop or you won't be doing the last routine for a full 30 seconds. You know that. Don't take a shortcut. Add an extra 20-30 seconds in your head and once you get there do the isometric and squeeze/flex for 5 seconds at least as hard as you can. So, 2 days in and I feel a nice soreness on my abs. Day 3: Did the workout, but forgot to update! I'm still feeling the burn which is great. Keep it up gang! Day 4: I went out and bought a punching bag and the person I bought it from made a huge error by filling it with sand AND water....so as you can imagine I've been scraping and shaking out the mud from the base out of the trunk of my car. It was about 300 lbs. I got some out slightly before the base slipped off the edge of my trunk and I had to try and scrape it out without much height so it's been a struggle. I attempted to lift it when I scooped some more out and strained my back like an idiot so i skipped Day 4 due to back soreness. Naturally, Id like to do the exercise daily. I felt terrible skipping it because I felt like my "non-existent abs" were upset that I left them hanging 😅😂 I will continue Day 5 today and let you guys know how it goes. Keep rocking! Day 5 - back still strained. Day 6 - back still strained. I think I'm finally well enough to continue the workout. I'm annoyed that I'm basically starting all over, but it's fine. I'll update it tonight. It'll technically be Day 1 again... Day 1 AGAIN 01/09/23: I did the routine x2 today because I feel like I need to catch up. I think I'm going to do it twice a day from now on. I imagine you'll get quicker results. Let's go gang! Day 2: 1/10/23 - I did it 2x today as well. You can certainly feel a difference in how sore you are compared to 1x a day. I'm trying to push myself. I just do it one time through (full 8 mins) and then I restart the video immediately after and do it again. As apposed to once in the morning and again later in the day/night when you're body is more tired. I recommend just knocking both out in the same sitting so it's done and you won't have to worry about it anymore. Go at your own pace. Don't feel the need to do it 2x a day if you're sore enough off of 1x a day. Let's go gang! Day 3: 01/11/23 - Workout complete. No signs of abs yet. Day 4: 01/12/23 - Workout complete. Day 5: 01/13/23 - Workout complete Day 6: 01/14/23 - Workout complete Day 7: 01/15/23 - Workout complete Day 8: 01/16/23 - Workout complete Day 9: 01/17/23 - Workout complete Day 10: 01/18/23 - Workout complete Day 11: 01/19/23 - workout complete Day 12: 01/20/23 - workout complete Day 13: 01/21/23 - workout complete. Still not results but I feel great that I'm keeping up with it. Hoping to see something by the end of the month. Day 14: 01/22/23* - workout complete Day 15: 01/23/23 - workout complete Day 16: 01/24/23 - workout complete Day 17: 01/25/23 - workout complete Day 18: 01/26/23 - workout complete Day 19: 01/27/23 - workout complete
Heres my results. I was like 14yo and wanted to have an abs ( for girls ofc), and found this video, so started doing this workout over the summer at every night. My build was very normal, i wasnt skinny, wasnt fat, and at the end of the summer i got a noticible abs. 8 years passed since then, and I tried a LOT OF abs/core workouts over the years, but I am always coming back to this one. This is the best ever, and I consider all my gain to this video. This also reminds of the great times when I was young.(Im 22 now lol) But I advice you to keep more rests in between exercises. Train Hard and be consistent, and you will se great results! Other tip: Find the 2 exercises that you dont really like, and to the first basic chrunces instead of them. So do the first exercise least 3 times.
I don't care what anyone says, there's no way not to use the neck, yes I lift my body with my abs but wtf do you think is supporting my giant head each time a do a crunch.
If you feel it in your neck just take a day or two of rest. The exercises will strain your neck at first while the muscles in the area catch up in strength proportional to the exercises being done. After a week or two you shouldn't feel the strain anymore even if you do the 8 minute abs workout twice a day. (Theoretically)
No, these crunches are incorrect. I've got lower back problems (herniated disc) and I attend physiotherapy classes. Try doing this (the correct way according to my doctor/trainer). lay flat on your back, hold your with both hands (fingers wide). elbows facing the sky and try pulling yourself up. elbows have to be facing the ceiling at all times, same as your face. your neck should be absolutely relaxed and your hands should be holding your head. when it gets too easy you may push your head backwards and try pulling your head up with your hands.briefly- face should always be facing up so you dong bend your back like this instructor.
try to... touch your chest with your chin when you do a crunch. I hope you got the idea. When your neck is stretched like these, there is less chance to injure it... and more work for abs)))
Over the last decade I've found so many badass ab/core training videos that have helped me a lot but out of all the ones I learned, this one I found when I was a sophomore in high school first getting into fitness has always been my fav. I still love it!
I don't know how I haven't seen your comment here before Jax! Amazing to see a content creator whose videos I love to watch also loves the videos I love!!
The instructor's name is Jamie Brenkus, he was a YT channel. I thanked him for the video because I've working out with him for the last 8 years and he replied!
@D Smith it's like the gospel of Christ, the video may be old but the muscles worked are still the same. Christ might have come in a different Era, but the message for the heart and soul remains the same.
Amen brother, I started doing this video around the same time! I've taken breaks from this video but I always find myself coming back to it over 20 years later.
Hi yes I have been somewhat lazy from december and back on it since february. This gives nice bricks on the stomach. Back to 40 reps on each. I sometimes do it two times in a row instead of 40 reps once. (a tip is put on music, loud and do it, its a booster for me) I've seen different styles of doing abs and this 8 min abs gives nice bricks. I hope I will be able to take some pictures in the summer for you guys so you can see what this exercise gives.
This is still hands down the best workout for abs....been doing it for years....and it's the only thing that has ever consistently worked. You must do this EVERY day though....one day off at the most...but then 6 days straight. People think I do some crazy training regimen to keep my abs, but all I do is this (daily). It's only 8 min people.....I bet 8 min has already passed since reading these comments.....there's really no excuse not to do this because you are 'busy' People who don't "see" the results may need to tweak their diet....you may have well-defined abs, but the layer of fat on your stomach is hiding them. This program will never lose it's effectiveness, it's the best bang-for-the-buck ab workout in existence IMO. Just like he says "these work if you do them right"
''It's only 8 min people.....I bet 8 min has already passed since reading these comments'' Very true, i've been reading/laughting on this comments for half an hour.
Started using this abs workout back in the 90s when it was still on VHS. I do other ab workouts but always come back this one. Even doing other ab workouts, coming back to this never fails to make me sore 2 days afterwards. This is still, by far, one of the best , no nonsense ab workout videos out there. 😁👍
Very quickly, as someone who has always hated working out my abs, this TOTALLY WORKS. I've done this for several months now, as well as on and off for the last few years, and even following this 2 or 3 times a week will strengthen your abdominals. Also, what's ironic about this workout is, the better you get at executing these movements, the more difficult the workout becomes, because you learn how to better stimulate your abs using the movements. Regarding the neck pain some are getting from this, I would recommend using a shorter range of motion (this is why he recommends merely crunching and not doing a full old fashioned sit up). Focus less on completing the movement as he does, and more on trying to stimulate the abs. If your abs start burning, it means you're doing it right! Best of luck!
I’ve been doin this on and off then fell into a deep depression, stopped doin it for a few months, am back at it again, and honestly my abs are coming back in. I’m really happy ngl. I’ve tried other workouts but I hate them, this one I enjoy bc he empowers you to keep goin
When I was 15 and very fat, I started to do this 3 times a week. The results were absolutely awesome, I really reached the six pack. I recommend this to anyone who wishes to exercise abs.
yep, but nothing too sofisticated. I've just read some articles about diet and started eating in smaller portions but more times (2 on 2 or 3 on 3 hours) My metabolism got very accelerated and after the first months I could eat with less control.
I've been coming back here roughly 14 years, thankfully I've won my battle with obesity in that time too. When the music changes towards the end I realise I am going to live
People saying you're feeling this in your neck; A) look up into the air not sideways at the screen and B) try to squeeze your abs or obliques whenever you're doing the exercise. It helps to focus the attention on the target area. If you don't do that then there's a tendency to tense the neck or the lower back and absorb the pressure.
I've been doing this routine 4-5 times a week for ~3 weeks now. Just thought I'd say for all the comments about neck soreness, I think your neck just needs to adjust (and I mean muscle pain/soreness, if your spine hurts you're probably doing it wrong). My neck was sore after the first two routines, but no longer after that. Also, as I continued, I felt a noticeable difference in being able to "pull with my abs and not my neck". At first I felt like "well easier said than done, my neck muscles are still very much involved", but eventually I found could lever myself up with primarily my core in a way I wasn't doing before, like how contracting your bicep curls your arm up.
+Malus1531 exactly. Your neck begins to hurt due to abdominal muscle fatigue. Fairly common sense when you stop to think about it: this program puts a great deal of stress on your abdominal muscles. Once they get tired, your neck begins to compensate for the workout.
Thanks so much for this comment. I did experience neck pain my first try. It made me concerned, but I think now that I will just continue and the pain will lessen. Take care!
I first did this workout 20 years ago and to restart it again after a long ass break makes me feel the mind muscle connection again, the motivational words are just right mid workout. I think this is the best ab workout video I've ever followed
This whole work out combo (not just 8 min abs) has changed my life! I've been doing it steady for 2 months straight now and the results are unfathomable. Who knew just a half hour work out everyday could be so beneficial to how you look. Not only do I look better. I feel better! Can't wait to see how I will look at the 3 month mark. I definitely recommend this for EVERYONE!!! Don't get discouraged just push through and you will be amazed at the results! As cheese as this guys video is, it works!
I first found this workout on 2016, did it for about a month and it made me loose a lot of weight. I could see changes in a week. Here I am… 2022, came back to it because I have faith in it… day one done 🧡
these 8 min videos are the best workouts on the whole world. they really work (as he says) they are short enough and not boring. I wish there would be more like this.
I used to follow along with this back in high school. 14 years later, I still remember the entire routine (and, ahem, music). I would've thought I outgrew this, but accelerated pace of movement always humbles me. And whenever I'm feeling a little unengaged around the abs, I gave this one a play to hone them. More than the actual workout, I watch this because it brings back memories. It reminds me about how I felt when I first dared to imagine that I could craft a body that I wanted. And if I ever feel motivation trickle away from it, I know I can always play this to reset my motivation: back to Day 1 all over again. I'm clearly overly sentimental. All this for an 8-minute ab video. If you're reading this, do the workout now.
You couldn’t have said it any better, my thoughts exactly. The nostalgia factor is for real.. high school gym class. The early ‘90s “home shopping network” style music is hilarious.
Spot on. Been doing this off and on since gym class in the late 90's...nothing works better, the results are amazing. Also the sentimental value is genuine. Good times.
This works I promise you. Thought it was genetically impossible for me to have defined abs but I have done this every day for about 3 weeks along with a bit of cardio and eating much healthier and I now have a visible six pack. Do not give up after a week, keep doing this and you will see results.
Been doing this since the infomercial first came out, my VHS tapes (l had 2) wore out and now I am so glad I thought to find this on youtube. Been on a routine for a few months now and gave up beer. My stomach no longer sticks out and I don't have to worry people think I am pregnant. so easy to do everyday!
2024! Best ab workout! I introduced this routine to a friend who is a Colorado Body Building Champion, Gymnastics Coach, Aerobics instructor, and certified weight lifting trainer...she is amazed at how it is further defining her waist!!
I can’t believe my abs are starting to actually show. I thought this program would be a joke. It’s only my 3rd day and I see a minor change! Shoutout to this old channel and this vid!!
I used to follow this in high school over a decade ago, now I'm back to help fix my anterior pelvic tilt. It's amazing how this is still the best ab workout I found
14 years later. I still revert to this video and I love doing it every time. On god this workout when done consistently everyday or even every other day works. If i could post a picture on here i would do it for evidence but let me tell you gang. It’s magic. #savethelowerback
For those wondering, this does work. I've been doing it everyday for 2 months and my abs feel a lot harder and I can feel the definition. There is a visible difference too but I haven't been super strict with my diet, so I've not seen as much progress as I perhaps could have but the abs are definitely under there! Also, using this to strengthen my core has seen a noticeable reduction in my back pain.
Been doing this video off and on for 5+ years, this has the quickest results of any workout regimen I’ve done. I’m recommitting to this every day for a month (usually see so much ab definition by then)
63 year old here. I've been doing this routine for 3 years and found this to be the most sensible abs workout for developing core strength and support, especially for those of us with Degenerative Disc Disease or chronic back pain. This and the 8 minute stretch are part of my go-to morning ritual. Simply couple this with reduced caloric intake / portion control (eat half portions!) and you'll see results in the the mirror and your pant size! We HAVE abs already, we just need to uncover them!
After years of overthinking about getting fit, these simple videos are the best. Don't think it's silly, it's the basic stuff that actually can drag you out of being unfit
2007, I wanted to date a girl in college, but she told me I was too fat. THIS VIDEO IS WHAT STARTED IT ALL! I’m 42 now, with a beautiful wife and 3 kids. I’ve been in shape ever since. I just took a trip down memory lane. I used to type in “8 min abs” on a lap top on my dorm room floor. Now I’m on my iPhone at the beach and I have to type in “8 min abs old school.” lol I guess I’m old. God bless that hottie that told me the truth or I wouldn’t be here today. Ps about 2 years after that girl told me that, I was in the best shape of my life and met my wife while wearing a swimsuit. She still shows off pictures to people of what I looked like. Everything happens for a reason. Don’t give up, don’t despair, keep on grinding, and u will overcome! Pps I’m rich now too!!! 😉
Damn 20 million views. Probably reached way more people on RUclips than whatever VHS of this sold in the 90s. I wonder if the instructor guy has seen how popular this got so many years later
+Nathalie Elliott My doctor recommended me this weight loss program. He told me that this is one of the best natural programs which does not result "yo-yo" effect when you stop using it. I've started using it 2 weeks ago and proudly say that I saw first results after first week of using it. Now I've lost about 12 lbs and still counting My vouch for it!
+jeremimi If only he were still alive... He was brutally murdered only a few years ago. Police have no leads but they suspect it was a result of gang violence.
I remember I did this workout every day along with weight training for 2-3 months the summer going into freshman year of highschool. I easily had one of the best bodies in my school. this shit works brah
Started watching this in early 2007, put on 35Lbs of muscle since then, and I'm doing it again as of today 9 years later. Works well when you need a little kick in the butt
Andrew Parkson completely agree. i was making the same mistake until I actually listened to the guy when he says "control with the abdomin, not the neck."
This man is truly godlike... you know, I thought for the longest time his performance was nearly perfect, minus one little slip-up at the end where he says 30 seconds but then quickly says 10 seconds... but you know what? I just realized it wasn't a mistake at all.. we were just in the last 30 seconds with 10 seconds remaining!... dear god... It was perfect!
I have been working out for.. 12 years now. Usually I'm doing something new every time, so I've done a lot. And this STILL the best Abs Workout. After all these years... 💖
I gave up after 6 minutes read some comments & then finished it. I'm slim but have always wanted to tone my tummy. I'm not looking for a 6 pack would just love to look leaner! I hate this type of exercise but Im going to try stick to this one. All the positive people commenting really helps 👍👏💪
I gotta say, I've been doing this workout for about three months and they absolutely work. Of course proper dieting is necessary for great results, but I would definitely recommend sticking to this workout. I do it 5 days a week rather than 7 but I've seen great results and I plan on continuing to use this video. I'm only posting a comment so that hopefully I can give a bit of motivation to those who don't think they will ever see results. Keep it up gang!!
@@kaecellaihee9507 I would have 2 days a week dedicated to abs and this video made up the bulk of that workout. I worked out other muscles throughout the week and kept track of my nutrition.

I usually put the tip of my tongue on the roof of my mouth. I think I read that in Men's Health years ago and it helps.
@@blasbarletta7867 updated bro!
This also reminds of the great times when I was young.(Im 22 now lol)
But I advice you to keep more rests in between exercises. Train Hard and be consistent, and you will se great results!
Other tip: Find the 2 exercises that you dont really like, and to the first basic chrunces instead of them. So do the first exercise least 3 times.
I’m hear for this journal lmaoo. Today is day 46 for me of doing this every morning.

Not me, I’m here in 2027
Best part is the beginning when I lay down. It's difficult to start sometimes
Yo that part feels so good 😂 ahhhhh 🥱
Some people shake when they start cause they're abs aren't warmed up so the body shakes to pump blood and warm up. It's really interesting
I don't care what anyone says, there's no way not to use the neck, yes I lift my body with my abs but wtf do you think is supporting my giant head each time a do a crunch.
that's not a big mistake just try to use you abs mostly, and for the neck don't use a pillow when you sleep.
Bartas Jovaisa I will try what you suggested. Thank you.
I been doing this since middle school when I had it on vhs so glad someone put it on RUclips!
Same here, this is legendary and my abs would tell you the same
I’ve been doing this since the 90s and it’s literally THE best ab routine there is

Amen brother, I started doing this video around the same time! I've taken breaks from this video but I always find myself coming back to it over 20 years later.
The same here. I started using it in my 20s. I tried different videos and apps, but this one, so far, is still the best 😃
Same, we passed this video around my college dorm in the early 2000s via file sharing, pre RUclips.
I pass it around the jobsite that tells me their back is 'bad'.
Had everyone tell me it helped them. Let your dad know he bought the best one.

Hey gang, I just did my 8 minute abs for the 1000th time this morning!
3 years? I switched up to 50repetitions on each, since january its august tomorrow :D
Hi yes I have been somewhat lazy from december and back on it since february. This gives nice bricks on the stomach. Back to 40 reps on each. I sometimes do it two times in a row instead of 40 reps once.
(a tip is put on music, loud and do it, its a booster for me)
I've seen different styles of doing abs and this 8 min abs gives nice bricks. I hope I will be able to take some pictures in the summer for you guys so you can see what this exercise gives.
Isaac Travers are your abs really cut?!
Ok so....what are the results?
I hope your still killing it brother
"It's only 8 minutes long, EVVEERRYY DAAYYY!!!"
The original ABS workout. No other compares.
Never been happier for an ad to show up halfway through a video
Just like he says "these work if you do them right"
Thanks for the motivation I needed it! :)
''It's only 8 min people.....I bet 8 min has already passed since reading these comments''

To sum this video up in 1 word; Gang
Firm up!
Squeeeeeze!

I’ve been doin this on and off then fell into a deep depression, stopped doin it for a few months, am back at it again, and honestly my abs are coming back in. I’m really happy ngl. I’ve tried other workouts but I hate them, this one I enjoy bc he empowers you to keep goin
Don't worry about the neck pain. I've been doing this workout daily and I don't feel my neck anymore.
When I was 15 and very fat, I started to do this 3 times a week. The results were absolutely awesome, I really reached the six pack. I recommend this to anyone who wishes to exercise abs.
Did you diet?
yep, but nothing too sofisticated.

If you don't do that then there's a tendency to tense the neck or the lower back and absorb the pressure.
thank you
I've been doing this for a long time, but my neck is so stiff from the push throughs
You're tensing your neck then :) just make sure you look up and not ahead when you do them
I've been doing this routine 4-5 times a week for ~3 weeks now.

Been using this video for 14 years. It's really good! Shame on RUclips for taking this one off the search.
Good times.
One of the first workouts I did as a teenager through RUclips. I’ve gained so much knowledge of the industry since then
This works I promise you. Thought it was genetically impossible for me to have defined abs but I have done this every day for about 3 weeks along with a bit of cardio and eating much healthier and I now have a visible six pack. Do not give up after a week, keep doing this and you will see results.
Sharks R. Great 3 weeks 😂😂

I’m recommitting to this every day for a month (usually see so much ab definition by then)
And? Results? :)
