I have been going through a very dark season since 2011. Sickness for my entire family ( Lyme Disease, PANDAS and now as the mom I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July of 2023) My ex husband left our family after in 2016 after 22 years of marriage. I have had to learn to praise the Lord despite my circumstances. Also, praise is a weapon of warfare and the enemy hates when we praise God when we are walking through trials. I lost my husband a little more than a year ago the pain is real the sadness is felt. There’s always something to celebrate… I’m a behavioral scientist and a Christian and given the year 2020 I wonder if autism is the correct diagnosis? That year was so tumultuous for everyone especially children. Emotions were confusing and can cause a pause in the correct nervous system function. We know for sure stress is a culprit or risk factor to every illness from a cold to cancer and everything in between. If it were me and my child, I’d pray get a fresh perspective and raise my expectations. When I was diagnosed with cancer 48 years ago with no chance of good outcome, I was desperate and told God respectfully I’m not getting off my knees until you heal me, and he did! 🙏💜🥲
The vibe reminds me of NeedToBreathe, who I love. Love it! I appreciate the depth and honesty in this. We need hope, but sometimes we still have to understand that God works for our good, but sin still exists in the world and He might not walk us through its effects on the world arouns us the way we want or expect. We absolutely need songs that say it may not get better but we’ll praise Him anyway. My 1st born & only son, age 33 was hit & killed by a drugged driver Aug 8, 2020. He was married & they have a little girl, age 4 when he was killed. We’re a Christian family, raised in church. It’s devestated our family. Then we’re also going to court each month to make sure the guy stays in jail. This will be his 7th DWI. We’ve all ran the gamet of emotions from anger, bitterness, joy, confusion, questions, etc etc. it’s been very hard! The Miller family
Praying for you that God will give you peace in your heart and find a way to forgive that guy. That forgiveness will bring you peace. There are questions for which we might not have an answer here on Earth. Only He knows why. I lost my husband suddenly, the pain was unbearable . He knows your pain, nothing it’s in vain. He is going to use it for His glory! How blessed you are to have a granddaughter from him!
I have Congestive Heart Failure. I've survived 5 open heart surgeries by the grace of GOD. Some days are goods others feel like I'm going to die. That's how this disease is. This song is a blessing.
