The view of Ibn Al Uthaymeen is a strong one that goes back to proofs; it is a debatable issue; however this video should serve as a WARNING for those who claim Islam but yet do not pray

In other words, you have to talk the talk AND walk the walk. Iman is both speech and actions. Abandoning salah is one of the real issues this Ummah is facing. May Allah help us to guard our salah and may He accept our salah. Ameen.

No, abandoning it takes one out of Islam. And this is how the Sahaba understood it so don't give us taqleed from the school of Abu Hanifa.

The *Salah* is not even like a debt where you can choose to repay or not.
It is the most basic oath between a Believer and Allah
    It *must be done* .
*even if there is a war going on* a believer is not excused from Salah
If you cant stand, sit and pray
If you cant sit, lay down and pray
If you cant even do that, make the Salah with your Right Index finger
There is nothing worthy of *worship* except *Allah Alone*
Do not miss your Salah, it is one of the first things we will be questioned about on the Day of Judgement

I once heard a brother likewise mention the different opinions regarding this issue. Then at the end he mentioned a great point, why would you risk it? Allah knows best the correct opinion regarding this issue because the other opinions likewise have proofs, if you believe this religion is the truth and you wish to meet Allah as a Muslim if death was to come to you today, then pray brothers n sisters may Allah bless you all. Performing the 5 daily prayers and likewise the rest of the obligations of islam does not now mean you are a righteous person, may Allah grant us sincerity it just means you are doing what makes you a Muslim, the bere minimum and even then we don't know if Allah will accept any of it from us.. May Allah aid the Muslims where ever they are and what ever time they're in and make us all firm upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah..

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "So Abu Bakr decided to fight them (i.e, the ones who didn't pay zakaah), then 'Umar said: 'O Abu Bakr, how can you fight the people when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah, and if they say it, their blood and their wealth will be safe from me except for a right that is due.?' Abu Bakr said: 'I will fight whoever separates prayer and Zakah. By Allah, if they withhold from me a young goat that they used to give to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I will fight them for withholding it.' 'Umar said: 'By Allah, as soon as I realized that Allah has expanded the chest of Abu Bakr to fight them, I knew that it was the truth.'" [Sunan an-Nasa'i, 3975]
    muflihun.com/nasai/37/3980
We can clearly see what Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said "'I will fight whoever separates prayer and Zakah" meaning it's understood and given that this is what sahaaba believed (i.e, leaving prayer is ridda)

Mashallah what an amazing reminder. Just one thing I would like to add is that this rule applies to those who are not living under oppression where praying salaah may incur greater harm. An example of this is the Uighur Muslims of China where praying even in your own home can lead you to be arrested and incarcerated.
In such a case, a Muslim should pray with his tongue and mind even if he cannot perform the movements of salaah at the appropriate times and inshallah Allah will accept his salaah and duaat. And Allah knows best

From Anas, radiyallahu ‘anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, say:
“Allah the Almighty has said: ‘O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me, and hope in Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds in the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I shall forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with an earthful of sins and were you then to face Me, without having associated anything with Me, I shall grant you an earthful of pardon.'”

astaghfirallah!! Dear Brother, I am a revert moslem. I reverted to islam 6-years ago. but reasons were quite political. despite that I learned salat and used to attend jamaats whenever it is possible for me because my parents do not like islam and they are anti islam. I didnt get time to study islam(random hadits, few Quran ayats and some stories of sahaba). occasionally I used to attend jamats. my parents found (doubt) that I am practicing anther religion and we moved to another place(present) which is full of relatives . I was cut off of from all islamic sources. hence I had to leave everything islamic and was forced to join the hub of anti islamism. I had to tolerate idol worship, was forced to worship idols, abuse islam. from past 2-3 weeks I ve been contemplating about my life and I am now guilty of not striving enough and not understanding islam (I dont think politics can be the reason to embrace islam). by the grace of allah, now I have access to internet. but my parents are not at all tolerant to anything islamic. I will become independent (financially) within few months. what is shariah guidance for me? what should be my immediate action? should I leave my parents and move to an islamic country or should I stay a moslem in secret an practice disbelief for the sake of my parents. I love my mother. I dont know what to do? I am getting depressed. getting thoughts of leading a kufriya life style and accept inevitable hellfire for abusing islam and everything islamic. what should I do? should I kill myself?

You must make istighfar, you have commited major shirk. You were not forced, if you were forced and you refused, then there had to be a fear of loss of life or limb. If you parents are like who you say they are, it is better to leave them for a muslim country. You commited major shirk to please your parents, and even now you think it is better to please your parents. Is it not better to please Allah over everything? Yes, indeed it is. But remember Allah is the most merciful and oft-forgiving, make tawbah and ask for forgivness for your actions and never return to shirk.

As salaamu alaykum Definately dont kill yourself akhey. If your still around comment back to me and ill give you my cell number so at least you have one brother to talk to. Allah's Messenger (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, "beware of splitting for the shayton is found alongside a single person but is further apart with two.." He also said "..stick to the jamaa' for he who dies a handspan away from the jamaa' dies a death of jahiliyyah". Ibn Umar said, "the jamaa' s anyone upon the truth, even if he is by himself." I would continue but I want to make sure your actually reading this so as not to waste my time. Akhey, Allah the Most High, The Mighty and Majestic said He will not burden a soul more than it can bear, its not that difficult my brother, relax and take some deep breaths. Please comment so I know your getting the information and inshaa Allah I will help you anyway I can. May Allah guide us, ameen.

Assalamualykum to this channel understanding the importance of this topic is primary as we agree with our beloved Sheukh but on the account that he mentions one who abandons Salah' out of negligence or laziness must be killed where is the proof of this as it is known that many Muslims have dips of iman increasing and decreasing and at times they may neglect Salah out of negligence or laziness otherwise on the other hand someone who doesnt believe Salah is obligatory and claims to be a Muslim thats a different story. But the former can someone please refer this back to the Qur'and Sunnah where it states capital punishment for this?
