nice video! Just a tip: you have to change every (?) color in the Height Fog settings to black so the fog color actually changes with the light. There's a video from epic that explains this better
This is exactly what i needed, ive just tinkering around with clouds yesterday and feel totally clueless, thank you very much and keep these mini tutorial coming its been really helpful!!!
I love ya mate, every other RUclipsr would stretch it for 10 minutes and make a series out of it, but you explained everything in 4 minutes, such a legend :D
you are awesome man, your the only one that gets to the point and it works once the person implements it them selves. im going to watch every video. you make it fun and easy DOPE!!. cant wait for next one.
Oh, that's a good idea. I've been looking for more decent ideas because some of the ones I was thinking of doing are going to get outdated quickly by ue5
@@AmberScottProd i was actually wondering about that as well regarding lighting techniques considering Lumen is here. Im not entirely sure how that will affect the lighting process workflow from ue4, if at all.
It's probably a setting in the material somewhere. If not, you could probably slip a panner node in there to do it. You have to be somewhat proficient with materials to get the most out of the cloud system
thanks for the comment about making changes to the existing materials. I think I actually changed some of them. Is there a way to simple get the original back?
Immediate subscription! Your tutorials are similar to that awesome blender guy that makes full tutorials in 1 minute. Which is to say, less time-wastey.
My best guess would be dynamic shadow cascade distance or Distant Shadows. Does it cast shadows on the clouds when you get closer? We're working with huge scales.
Check out the settings in the Directional Light I showcase at 3:08. It may not be very noticeable at first; try rotating the light to see the effect more clearly
Not that I'm aware of, but there is some extra functionality to this tool that lets you paint clouds by hand, if you're looking to have more artistic control. Should be somewhere in the documentation!
how to change sun size in unreal engine 5 Can I save copies of the assets in the unreal engine.... I am a Unity user. Can I move the camera automatically towards things .like align with.. in unity
my sun doesn't follow the light, though everything looks to be in order, can't even at less than 45 seconds in. Launcher was stuck at 45% for about 20 minutes before opening and compiling. Wait for it.
I know you said everything seems to be in order, but I would still double-check that you ticked "Atmosphere Sun Light", shown at 0:23. Also make sure you're using the SkyAtmosphere Component and not the default Skybox.
I can look into it. I remember you mentioned this on twitter - It could be possible with with the Physical Animation component. I'll have to do some more research
@@AmberScottProd yeah! Idk if i ever replied to you but yeah haven’t seen anything or anyone do it so might have a title there for you to be the first!
First of all, thanks for making these tutorials. Please, could you help me, and people who might be interested, in using the same settings that Ryan Brucks used in his video with all those lightning bolts striking? I managed to use the demo map with lightning included with the Volumetric Clouds and stuff, but they don't have the same lightning striking effects like in his video. Maybe, I should change the settings, but I don't know where to start . The video I'm talking about is this one that Ryan Brucks used >>>>> ruclips.net/video/R7jhuzKiAvE/видео.html Thanks in advance.

Great tutorial!! Would love one about making stylized clouds with the volumetric feature
Nice short and sweet tut. Could you do one like this but specifically for nightime lighting?

If there is, I don't know it off the top of my head aside from reinstalling the engine (rip). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Hi, thx for the nice quick video on Vol. clouds! Any idea why my cube doesn´t cast shadows on the clouds? I did the same like you at
3:08
