I had to rewatch this to see this amazing looking livery Bi Mode 800 running with sounds. Thanks for sharing it.
The Azuma is gliding around your layout very smoothly and the sound effects add to the surrealism of the scene! Thanks for uploading.
400 quids worth of train right there !
First modern train I've liked the look of and the sound is brilliant. Looks very smooth and surefooted.Great ruining session looking forward to a review.👍
Thanks Peter. I wasn't 100% sure of it until I got to do the full running session as there are a few things to discuss in the review.
Got one of these also fitted with a Legomanbiffo Sugarcube speaker, sounds great :)
Impressive!
awsome!!!
Thanks for sharing this 🙌
My pleasure!
@@EuviRail 👍👍
Great session...Imm tempted but will look at your review first and then decide as always enjoy those. I suspect cost may well come up in that!! stay safe Tim
Thanks Tim. Yeah, the review should help you here and I'll address the cost aspect alright!
@@EuviRail I somehow suspected it would 🙂
The station on the layout looks like Dundee Station on the East Coast Main line
Thanks for that Harry. I'll need to check out Dundee Station now.
@@EuviRail You should though. The staff there are nice, I trainspotted there once.
Sounds like something from War of the Worlds!
Thanks for posting…. Do you have any issues with light bleeding?
Yes I do! Will be covering this in my review, Sloppy from Hornby to miss this.
bruh this dude never runs the train with the pantographs up
Got a Great Western version but I think this is prettier. Mind you the announced Transpennine looks the best in my opinion. IE800 is the best of Hornby complete trains. Nice smooth runner.
Hi Alan, it probably is in truth and an equally smooth runner. The TPE does look good but it will need to address a few issues on the current models which I'll cover in the Azuma review. Then there's the price of course. I'm going to get to that in another video in the coming week.
@@EuviRail Look forward to your review. No issues with mine, just about perfect so be interesting what you have found out.
Do you have the sound in both ends or just one end? Difficult to tell. Looking forward to the review
Hi Robert, just in the power car. Was tempted to overdub to simulate both cars but wanted to leave the video as representative of reality as possible. The review will drop tomorrow.
The traction motor noises here sound a bit off to me; they change pitch and increase as the train accelerates in real life, but the sounds here are as if the train were to pretty much maintain at a speed within the 10-15mph region.
Yeah, they're a bit monotonous alright. Poor showing for a Legomanbiffo sound file,
Very nice, but the electric sound/buzzing is a little annoying...
And per other comments isn't that accurate either! It has a diesel mode as well which may sound a bit better. I'm going to do a video of all of the sounds so will cover it there.
Looks a lovely locomotive but I don’t think my tight Radius 2 would suit it.
Hi Stephen, it's supposed to run on Radius 2 but because of the larger overhang on the power car and coaches it could/will collide with trackside structures such as platforms , signals etc. I haven't had any derailment on Radius 2 but did have some collisions - I was running at a crawl in anticipation.
Works on radius 3 but even then had to modify some scenery because of the overhang EuviRail mentioned.
