Thirty years war is basiclly fall of troy from a parallel universe when it comes to sound. (I know that this fall of troy during high school days. It´s just what I feel this sounds like compared to Fall of troy now.)
Unless I'm mistaken, I do believe that The Thirty Years War was the band's name while they were young and in high school, and they changed it before they recorded another album because a member left due to school obligations. That should clear things up for people saying their name wasn't The Thirty Years War
they should still make songs like these but EXACTLY LIKE THIS. id like to hear a touched up, polished version of this, undoubtably, but id rather have them atleast keep most of their songs like this, with the nostalgic, garage-band feel this has, kind of like modest mouse's the fruit that ate itself. good stuff, both mm and tfot/ttyw
Wrote a short story in school today that was inspired by this songs title. It was about a girl who was hit by her father and decided to commit suicide. At the end of the story it was written in presens and the same girl was an angel who wrote that she couldnt hold back her tears from her green eyes when she wrote about her own suicide in heaven. By the way , I love tfot and ttyw. Im probably their biggest fan in my country. Cheers from sweden!
The Thirty Years War is literally The Fall of Troy with one more guitarist in addition to Thomas. His name escapes me at the moment. But yeah, just fyi. T30YW = TFOT +1
His name is Mike Munro and he wasn't in Red Museum. The guitarist/singer from RM was in the hills have eyes with Thomas. The drummer of RM was in Tribune and Just like Vinyl. Munro was the bassist for Tribune and later the guitarist for 30 years war.
+Austin McCollum The 30 years war was the original name they gave to themselves but when Mike Munroe (Who played rhythm guitar) left, they decided to change their name to The Fall Of Troy.
+That Guy Who Reviews Albums Also, both names were chosen by opening a history book to random pages and looking for something they liked... hence "the 30 years war", "the fall of troy"
That intro riff is killing
youre welcome.
i love anything that erak has done.
I love that they remade this
