This music represents for me a stage of my life where everything was fucking fine. Whole days playing sims. It's such a wonderful feeling to relive it.
When my son was 8 years old he liked creating characters for The Sims 1...he named two of them Doodoodah Stinke and John Doodoopah. I asked him where he got those names from and he said they just came to him...then I realised he got Doodoodah and Doodoopah from this particular part of the soundtrack.
Brazilian here, I remember first playing sims 1 when I was little and thinking it was a brazilian game because of all the bossa nova and samba haha I loved it and still do!
Oh what I would give to go back to the early 00's as a kid and experience this again. This music brings it all back... School's out for the summer, there's no homework to do, so it's time to fire up the crappy family computer and enjoy this ground-breaking game. There's the neighborhood, who do you play with today... Do you help out the Newbies? Do you make life interesting with the Goths, or do you start an adventure with a new family, and build a new dream home? All the time you see that Mansion on top of the hill for a whopping 50,000 and think "one day..." (or simply klappacaus your way there!) Good times....
I was really wondering why I felt the same way, I think in general, the culture he has just made us associate some of these instruments with erotic things...strange, but neat.
raptorjesus959 Long ago, The Sims fandom used to live in harmony, then everything changed when Electronic Arts attacked. Only Maxis, veteran developer of the Sims 1 and 2, could stop them. But when the Sims fandom needed them most--they vanished. Fifteen years have passed and the fandom and I discovered a better Sims game, it's name was Sims 4. While it lacked content on launch that the other games included, I believe the Sims 4 will save the fandom... *cue Avatar: The Last Airbender theme*
The Sims 2 was the best out of the entire series in my opinion as it expanded so much on the original: although 3 is best for building houses, it's really easy from a game point of view and doesn't have the same relationship system that I loved. I like to pretend The Sims 4 doesn't exist.
I want to be a kid again. The Sims soundtrack brings me back to my cousin house on those weekends when we use to spend the whole day in front of the computer. It is pure nostalgia.
It just happens every 4 years or so I remember how enthralled I was as a kid with the Sims. All maxis games were awesome and the jazz just added that little bit extra. Pre-Spore maxis in my heart . Forever.
My all-time favorite Sims song! Even today, almost a decade after I first played the sims.. this song creeps in my head when I do some shopping... beautiful music for a beautiful time
I’ll never forget the moment when my friend told me about cntrl shift C + ‘rosebud’, and when I tried it in the game for this first time. My life changed forever. A Core memory.
Julian Schamun No me extraña, por que como los juegos de antes ahora ya no se hacen, y te lo digo yo, que tengo 15 años !!!!!!!!Yo no sigo jugando, pero me gustaría mucho !!

Damn, I played this game for like YEARS and I had never realized that, and I'm Brazilian; just came 2 years later just to answer that you're damn f*king correct sir, and that made me proud as sh*t. Wish more Brazilians would like that kind of music instead of the crap that is released everyday around here.
I'm brazilian as well.....The Sims soundtrack is awesome, probably the best game soundtrack I've ever listened to. Most of brazillian songs released nowadays are just crap, unfortunately.
The Sims 1 was the first ever game that I played on the PC. I remember back in the 2000's going to my friend's Richard house and play hours and hours until night came by and the days was over. Some years later, I was forced to move from Rio de Janeiro to Bahia, consequently parting ways with all my infancy friends, including he. But his last gift to me was a copy of the CD-ROM of The Sims 1. When we finally was done with the moving process, I installed the game on my PC once again and this music came in some moment, marking my eternal bond with the memories of my infancy friends, as it simbolized for me all the great moments being a child. What a game!
Sims 3 was more of a late 2000s feel but it still had that 2000s feel the hair styles and the clothes I thought one of the jeans were way to low and I liked the bell bottoms. I think sims 4 is the one that is way to modern I don’t like the clothes or items but times change right?
Loooooooove the Bass! It's my favorite part of the whole thing. Simple, but emotive, and powerful, even, the way it rings and sings when it goes into the octave. Works great for the piece! Upright Basses and Fretless Basses both, I love the way they sing their notes (wawawah). I have a fretless, I'd love to get an upright. But it's not just the bass that makes the song so awesome, the whole ambience is cool, but somewhat dark, I think. Among my favorite tracks! (so many good ones to pick from!)
When I was a child I've spent hours playing this game, and i became in a Jazz and Bossa Nova style lover for that. Saludos desde Argentina and Doooo dooooo baaaaaaa booooo baaaa doooooo baaaaaa!
reminds me childhood. after school i had always played this game with this music turned on. Newbie, the roomies, pleasant family, goth... oh myyy nostalgia,,,
I love this song when they are cooking or something or in the yard:D I miss this game! I have it but my pc is too new to run it, I'm going to ask my boyfriend if theres some way I can find a way to play it on here lol Sims deluxe is the shit! Mush more of a home feeling to it. Sims 3 is full of iphones and shit that doesnt even make it feel like in aww of my family or anything. If they could make these older sims 1 deluxe games for new pc's, i'd sim all day lol
I'm so nostalgic for this track, it heavily reminds me of my childhood in NY, of going down to the city and seeing the beautiful tall towers and going into nice cozy lit buildings
Dude, as a child, I never paid too much attention to it, but now...Man, does this song sounds a lot like Pat Metheny Group. I suppose that, for those who doesn't know it, if you go to RUclips and type "Pat Metheny Group" you'll come across lots of songs similar to that one. Realizing that just made me love this song even more.
By far the best music in the game, that saxophone solo was the best part of the music, plus, i like tha baaa-dooo-daaa they sing, i want to know who sang that
Guys are you all from Poland? I remember changing some registry to try out different language versions and only the Polish one had this track. Actually, it was the only track that played in Polish version. All other languages had 1, 2 and 3 and Polish had 4. Also, in the Polish version the streets looked the different way than in English.
For some reason this is one of the few Neighborhood soundtrack I remember best. Honestly if they want to make a good new Sims, just let us play the Sims 1 again, upgraded for Windows 10+ and made into HD. I don't even need any other changes. Oh so many people who would be delighted if that was ever the case... Sigh
seriously, it's my favorite kind of music, it should have its own genre, i mean it already does (Jazz) but when i search jazz a whole bunch of other styles come up, and i know it's smooth jazz and all of that other stuff, but i think that there should be a genre in which the song has to be classified as having the kind of feeling this song has in order to get in, it makes me feel much too relaxed, and to be honest I'm having trouble writing this right now, I'm about to fall asleep...
This music represents for me a stage of my life where everything was fucking fine. Whole days playing sims. It's such a wonderful feeling to relive it.
Thanks for sharing your feelings 🙂
It's two years later, I hope things are in better stead than they were!
@@Rowan1k Things are fucked. Climate change and mass extinction. Things are very fucked.
Amen!
@Anti Terrorism Don't forget to wear your tinfoil hat every day.
This game had some unexpectedly amazing music.
tetrisclock You are right, my friend.
My thoughts exactly. In fact, I'm lucky to find all the soundtrack on this channel!
The Sims always have amazing soundtrack
This soundtrack is timeless and almost creepy in a way
I know right! So soulful!
If this doesn't make you sing "do do bah doooo doooo doooo doooo" then your life isn't complete
+JCMthebrand I am missing part of my life.
Kimble Angus pretty funny :-), This is just ONE of the many things needed to make a life "complete" lol, thanks for the comment.
@@JCMthebrand my life must be 100% complete lol. Sorry for the comment being 4 or 5 years later lmao
the best BGM in sims seies i think....
This is one of the most beautiful, engaging songs I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. “Do bah doooooo...” 🎶
I literally googled "The Sims 1 doo ba doo song" and got here first try

brilliant! 😂
Brazilian here, I remember first playing sims 1 when I was little and thinking it was a brazilian game because of all the bossa nova and samba haha I loved it and still do!
Why does every Brazilian need to say they are from Brazil? Just curious
@@Flooffy why not. brasil is cool
it seems pertinent. its nice to see this games brilliant and diverse soundtrack struck a chord with people outside of the US

I just got hit so hard by nostalgia my nose has broken
I feel you bruh, it hits hard!!! holy gody...
i felt so nostalgic to a point where i turned into a small baked pie momentarily while im on my chair hearing this song
This song sounds sooo cozy, that's how i always felt when this came up.
Sitting on the bear rug by the fire. Them the rug goes up in flames
sims1 has the best music from all sims!!!!
this songs are clearly a masterpiece ❤
Damn these sims sure love singing about tuba's.
When you first turn on the game and play the tutorial. Bob Newbie turns on the radio and this song plays. Such memories!
Today he's more known as Bob Pancakes from Sims 4.
OH THE NOSTALGIAAAAAA! I love The Sims 1 so much ❤
