  • No matter what you use to make castings with your IOD Moulds - they're beautiful! See for yourself as my husband, Wayne, and I make picture frames - one with IOD Air-Dry Clay and the other with Amazing Casting Resin. We think you'll be comfortable trying this yourself - after watching a time or two!
(PS: while you're here, please subscribe and like this video. If you turn on notifications - you won't miss any of our future projects!)
What you'll learn In this video:
🖼 How to mix and pour Resin into the IOD Mould
🖼 How to work with, and cut, Resin castings
🖼 How to use Air-Dry Clay to pick up the minute details in IOD Moulds
We made our own frames so we had 3 inches to work with on all four sides. This gave us plenty of room to really showcase the castings. Wait until you see the almost life-size sunflower from one of IOD's newest Moulds.
We finished up the painting and extra finishes on these frames after recording this video - but we won't leave you hanging. Part 2 is about ready to go, so check back on this channel and you'll be able to see how we took it from raw - to refined!

Absolutely gorgeous! I love decorating frames with IOD but find the same issue's as you. Your frames are marvelous. Do you sell them unfinished? Wonderful job!

WOW!! I love those wider frames you made, and the IOD mouldings look beautiful on them. What a clever idea. Have you ever made frames in the IOD Frame mold, the one that has about 5 ornate frame molds in the one mold? I've just bought it and it's my first IOD mold, and I can't get over how gorgeous it is. I usually use molds by Redesign With Prima and they're OK, but they don't compare to the IOD molds, which have so much great texture to them as well as the micro rim that makes it so easy to remove excess clay. I wanted to ask you, do you know if it's possible to apply a transfer to the IOD clay? I want to make a couple of frames with my new mold and put a small transfer on each one. Thank you for this great video and for your help. Yours Amanda Jones in Australia

I LOVE your frames, they look beautiful. I've just finished decorating an old wooden frame that I got from a thrift shop and it's turned out pretty well, but I definitely need the IOD mould that you used in this video. The mould I used to make the castings for my frame was by Redesign With Prima and their moulds are OK but they're nowhere near as good as the IOD moulds because they don't have the micro rim or the lovely texture that the IOD moulds have. What sort of resin did you use in this video? Was it the Alumilite Resin that sets really quickly and turns white? Thanks for the great video guys. Love from Amanda in Australia ❤
