This is my favorite version of Hamlet ever done in cinema form. It feels like it is done on a stage, but also you get the film advantages of close ups and more elaborate sets. But best of all, the line deliveries and how natural and authentic it feels. Often with Shakespeare plays you feel the actors hardly grasp the subtleties of the lines. But here you can tell they do and they perform incredibly well, giving so much reality to the words. Amazing amazing

I like how there's no trace of the Doctor here. The mourning is similar at times, but it's not the Doctor's mourning. This is Hamlet. It's not David Tennant, not the Doctor, nor any other character he's played. Some other actors usually play almost the same character every time, and even if they don't play a similar character, they still ACT like the same character. (namely Jim Carrey, who is always the funny guy and does crazy things and says weird things. My brother got Bruce Almighty and Ace Ventura confused, even though they're supposed to be different characters because he plays them the same way). David is a great actor.
