- In this video I show how to crochet a beautiful lacy scarf with puff stitches. The scarf can easily be made wider (multiple of 6, plus 4). I hope you enjoy this video tutorial! Happy fall and happy crocheting!

I love your patterns and tutorials. You make it so easy to understand and follow. I did notice, I believe that in this video, the second row that there was a mistake in doing a chain 2 instead of doing just a dc, leaving a larger gap for doing the puff stitch in the next row. I caught it and was able to fix it. I hope this helps others too. But I absolutely adore all your beautiful stitches. Thank you!!!

I'm actually making curtains out of this tutorial with Packer colors which of course are green & gold. I'm doing this at 78 + 4 which comes out perfect. Thank you Olga for your creativity.

This is so pretty I’m going to make a pretty throw with this pattern. I’m not sure if you will see my question since this is a year ago but I was wondering something. On the setup row before the first puff stitch row you did the first and the third puff stitches in between two double crochets with no chain space, but the center one did have the two chain spaces. But the second row of puff stitches you had all three in between two double crochet stitches with no chain space.
I’m asking this because I want to use foundation single crochet to begin with and wondering why that one in the middle had the extra two stitches only on your first puff stitch row but not any of the future rows?
Hi Lisa, all the puff stitches must be made in between 2 double crochets with NO CHAINS. I rewatched the video, and I see that at 5:33 it kind of looks like I am making my puff stitches in between 2 double crochets with chains between them, but my stitches got stretched and looks that way, but in reality there is no chains in between.
If you want to use foundation single crochet for there first row, simply use multiple of 6, plus 3.

Olga, do puff stitches block well? Any tips?
Honestly, I don't know. I haven't made any projects with puff stitches that I would have to block. I've made some projects with popcorn stitches (which are similar thought not the same), and those blocked fine, but I can't say for sure about the puffs.
