    This scarf is georgous. I have to make it. Your instructions are so clear it makes it so easy to follow along. I learned two new stitches from you as well. This is the first time I have seen that standing double crochet after turning and starting the next row instead of making three chains. Makes the ends look a lot smoother. Your camera view is perfect to see your stitches. Thank you so much for the tutorial on how to make this scarf!

    Hello! I just wanted you to tell you how grateful I am that you shared the new way of crocheting double crochet! The stitches do not only align but there is no unnecessary space left among the stitches as well and a more beautiful and dense crocheted piece is created!! You have been so helpful!! Thank you so much from Greece!!!!

      @OlgaPoltava  3 года назад +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad that this was helpful! This is the way I make double crochets in the majority of my crochet projects and it really does make a huge difference in how the finished fabric looks.
      Sending love to Greece from California 💕🇺🇸

I love your patterns and your are such a wonderful person to crochet with. You explain very throughly. I am starting another pattern today. Will look at your web. Thanks again for sharing.

    Hi Olga. This is by far one of the best tutorials on RUclips. The mercerized cotton made it so easy to see exactly where to insert the hook. You always explain things well. I like how you showed how to do the edging. Only recently did I learn about the way to do double crochet as you did here to make the stitches align perfectly without the slant and I use that technique more than not. This pattern is so pretty and dainty. I love it. Thank you so much!!

    I really like this lovely pattern, and am making the lacy cardigan with it. What I did not think about until I had 7 inches of width done is that every single crochet and double crochet row, should have the same atitch count as your starting chain!! I had to frog about 8 rows due to this oversight. I would have appreciated that mentioned in the video instructions!!!

    Wow olga I love looking at your items, they are impeccably neat, your edges look amazingly straight. I would love to have that kind of finish, any tips at all please? Thank you for your tutorials, they are really good for inexperienced crocheters like me. 👍🏻😁

      Hi Ingy! Thank you! And thank you so much for the question!
      I think it greatly depends on crochet tension, and it takes a lot of practice to be able to have the same tension throughout the entire project. Another thing is oftentimes I crochet with a slightly smaller size hook then recommended for specific yarn, and that helps with my tension. Also the position makes a big difference to me. For example, when I am sitting in a comfortable chair and I am relaxed, it's much easier to crochet and have my stitches nice and even. But when I film tutorials, I extend my arms in front of the camera, and I am constantly switching my eyes between my work and the camera, so my stitches are not as nice and even, and they come out more loosely.
      And last tip is something I often mention in my tutorials is that when I make double crochets, I insert the hook directly into the double crochet of the previous row, and not simply under the top two loops most crocheters do. That way your double crochet stitches will be nicely aligned one on top of the other.

    Hi Olga, I love all your projects. I noticed that when you go into your double crochets you do not into directly into the crochet stitch, but you go underneath the double crochet space. I don't know if I make myself understood. Could you teach us how you do it?
