    Keaton is probably one the top 3 most underrated actors still currently working, definitely one my favorite. There's a film he did back I believe in the early 90's titled 'one good cop' that is one of my favorite performances by him, all in all a good film also.

    • @Iocustkingofdecayingcorpse
      @Iocustkingofdecayingcorpse 3 месяца назад +1

      he is honestly one of my most favourite actors.

    • @martinsolomon5500
      @martinsolomon5500 2 месяца назад

      He is NOT even slightly underrated.
      He was doubted when he was selected as Batman in 1989. After the film the critics changed their mind about Tim Burton’s choice.
      Until Nolan and even since most critic and audiences agree that Keaton played the best Batman because his Bruce Wayne was excellent too.
      Michael is extremely highly rated. He is probably easily in the top ten of the MOST rated actors still currently working.
      He isn’t just your favorite. Just because he hasn’t received twice as many Oscar nominations as Meryl Streep and your idea of “highly rated” means Leader of the UN, President of four countries and the capitals of ALL fifty states should be named KEATON
      writing a nonsense cliché “my favorite actor is woefully UNDERRATED” doesn’t make it a true statement.
      It makes it total 🐴 💩
      He is NOT. Never has BEEN and NEVER in any Universe be considered an UNDERRATED actor.
      Quite the opposite.
      He is highly rated, because you do not have a UNIQUE perspective on anything. You have noticed what nearly every single person who enjoys a film has noticed. He’s good at what he does and also extremely likable when interviewed or in public.

    Refreshingly well acted and original. It's flavored in the style of the theater and you have to appreciate this break from typical Hollywood formulas. Movies these days are "you seen one, you seen them all". Not this time.

    From Wikipedia:
    "The film was made as an independent effort, largely as a labor of love, with all the 'name' players working for little more than scale (Keaton's salary was $100/day, for instance). Filming was completed in 20 days, and the filming budget was $500,000. Most of the filming occurred in New York City."

    Baseball is an amazing game. Some of us played it for the love of the game. Some play it for love of their own egos.
    I played it as a kid in Sydney, Australia, loved the game. Years later I played it in Canberra. Baseball had become an egotistical tragedy. From the Field of Dreams it has become a nightmare. A lot like the modern world.

Kubrick did a fair job of it with his film given the censorship at the time. Simply impossible to describe just how profoundly this movie bored and annoyed me.
