This should been the real true ending when you gather all the hero chalices like he proved himself as a real true hero again now he can be in peace with someone he loves the other ending should been the bad ending if you don’t gather all the hero chalices
@@HyperrealisticLuigi No, according to MediEvil board's Q&A, it was intended and "most of all it was just a silly B-movie twist ending for fun". It was just part of their humor with the game.
I totally agree, I personally prefer the ending where Sir Dan and Princess Kiya say their goodbyes to Professor Kift before returning to their eternal rest inside Kiya's Tomb, it was a better callback to the Original Medievil's ending and it was much more poignant than the other silly, over the top ending, though I understand that was their intention with that ending,to have a little fun and hint at a potential sequel, I honestly think they made both endings just in case Medievil 3 didn't happen so they could still have closure for the Franchise
Even though I love the Medievil games, the ending where Dan reunites with Princess Kiya still makes me cry as just how fucking grim it ends. Like Kiya's head collapses onto Dan where her snapped neck is shown, and Dan's eye just disappearing leaving a grin as they're entombed is depressing. Sure, they're at peace in the afterlife, but it's a sad ending that I still can't get over with compared to other games.
I feel like the true ending would've been that after you get all the hero chalices and proving himself to be a real hero again and now he can finally rest in peace with someone he loves cause I felt it was a much better ending than the one where you go back in time and encounter Palethorne who's Zarok now?
The bad ending makes sense if you add your own context, maybe Sir Daniel was going back in time to aquire the spell book to stop the events from the game ever playing out, only thing I could think of to make sense outta it, or it was just sequel bait that never came to fruition
Well, that makes sense to me now! 🤔 Collect all of the chalices and get in the shit at the end!? Or DON'T collect all of chalices and be rewarded with a happy ending!? 🤔 Or course, that puzzled me for the longest time, well, a good 20years I suppose?! (Er, not that I actually continually thought about it! But that it's finally been cleared up after all this time!) ✌🏼😁👍🏼
The ending swap was ment to be a message on that if you try to get 100% and forget about your life, you won’t get lad by a mummy princess and instead get killed by a dragon
1:40 it's one of those endings. Often wondered if they make a third game out of that ending. Guess that will never happen. Dont think I like that ending because of that. You're better off sticking to the other ending, it's more like a swan song for Sir Daniel for me
Well a comic called Medievil: Fate's Arrow explains that Sir Dan somehow eventually ends up separated from Kiya and is thrown back in time to the year He originally died in 1286, a few days before the battle of Gallowmere, He then swaps bodies with His past self, Captain Fortesque, with Sir Dan being returned to His living body while His past self,Captain Fortesque is put inside of His Undead body, He then goes on to be killed in the battle of Gallowmere as He was before, and He apparently is now stuck in a timeloop in which He must relive the events of Medievil 1 and 2 over and over
I think the true ending for Medievil 2 is he and Kiya Go Back to Their eternal rest together and she and him go to the hall of heroes and Dan gets his Living human form and so does Princess Kiya and they Live happily in the AfterLife 💚💙
the real ending unfortunately is the one where they go back in time. That just doesn't make any sense! Only with the official comic released 2 years ago, there's a sense now! But they are still! When Mediveil remakes continue!!
What they did TO his voice is UNFORGIVABLE

it was supposed to be the real ending but someone swapped the ending on the discs

Well Dan and Kyra do get their happy ending well at least until both awaken in both World Wars and even the Cold War into James Bond Parody
Rest in peace sir Daniels

I honestly don't get why the supposed bad ending is the one you get when you get all the chalices.
disc bug that swapped the endings

Did Dan mess with the way of history and that's why he the bad ending happened?

Bro what
Na they need that comic to be non canon
That’s sad
