unfortunately, no. arcade1up's current hardware isn't quite up to snuff to be playing time crisis 2 yet. Point Blank 2 might've had a chance but i'm afraid we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.
Happy belated birthday, brother... I have to 1000% agree with your video... I am going to wait for a sale before pulling the trigger on this cab! I do want time Crisis but not for 749.99 plus tax!
It's a ploy. Limited run is a fomo tactic that they've used to try and get people to buy in full. Unfortunately because it works. They'll keep doing it.
I consider paying if it had point blank 2 and time crisis 2. The sequels to these games are far superior the to the originals. Crisis zone would be a nice addition as well…
Sadly we probably won't get sequels on the same cab due largely to internal software. Though 1up has a bad habit of holding back sequels for secondary releases.
Yep, this is Arcade1Up's problem. I would gladly pay $100 or so to UPGRADE my T2 cabinet for a software, but I'm not going to pay anywhere near that for a new piece of hardware. Why would I want another cabinet anyway???
@@ConStormENT From curiosity, is this with a cheap pc inside and 2 sinden lightguns or some cheap raspberry pie emulating a ps1 game ? (in europe is now 800 euros by the way 🤦♂
Not that I have seen. It appears to be a proprietary chipset handled by 1Up themselves. I doubt we'll know the specifics until somebody tears one of these open to look for sure
ConStorm Entertainment, I was half expecting you to do this episode as a short, showcasing just one point... $749 :D I watched the 1Up Stream with Michael B, Kongs R Us and Time Cyrus. Hoo Boy, staged with a bunch of spin. Don't get me wrong, I love Michael B and Kongs, but that stream was VERY heavy handed. Arcade1Up is using that term "Real Feel" again and then using a cheaper manual feedback mechanism to cheaply mimic the automatic recoil in the arcade lightgun. I wouldn't have minded this so much if they weren't charging $749 for the cabinet! And then the biggest insult (to me). In almost an air of bragging sort of way, Cyrus... oh I'm sorry, Time Cyrus, tells us this cabinet is going to have 4 WHOLE GAMES! WHAT???!!! For $749? At that price, this should've come with more games then their current largest library offering of 14. For $749, this should've had at least 20+ games. And the gall of the panel making it sound like having 4 games is some sort of perk by suggesting it makes it an easy solution for someone to just turn it on and play. Preposterous! For what's on offer, this cab is worth $199, and that's being generous considering the real estate it takes up. If Arcade1Up can get it down to that price (or if sales prevail) then I'd consider it as the cab itself looks amazing. Plus, Buy Stuff Store may bring their upcoming mod to it add a bunch more games. As it sits right now though, I may just find a different solution, maybe make my own shooting setup in my arcade with a larger 24 inch monitor. vgv
The formal reason largely comes down to software. And I can't fault them there. But the lack of a 19 inch screen is pretty much inexcusable especially for the price
Oh wow I was watching until the $750. For that kind of money You can buy two Playstation 2's and any guncons you choose...get 2 tube TVs link them together and play time crisis and more! You can even mod your American PS2 so you can play all the Japanese gun games as well!
I mean I got a big crt that works well, and most the lightgun games for ps1-ps2 in some form playable with said lightgun to go with. I enjoy the hell out of them.
what version of games do they put on these things? would it be emulating ps1 time crisis or mame? currently getting into some emulation for my kids, im emulating dolphin on my phone and casting to tv then using wii remotes with zapper attachments to play games like house of the dead, might get those sinden guns and emulate on my pc eventually
From what we've been told by 1up, They have worked with namco directly to bring the arcade roms onto the ridge racer PCB Comfortably via the Sinden Camera System. its more or less a custom job for lack of a better term.
Hopefully the sinden recoil guns are lighter in weight.. I have sinden recoil and non recoil guns and the recoil is quite heavy even for adult. I think it's going to be hard for kid to enjoy weight of that gun for long...
i agree, for the price, they should've just put in a 19 Inch screen. but at the same time. they can't go too much further in terms of game choice. hopefully they realize this sooner than later.
I had planned on ordering the minute it was available. Well... What's a shop hippo, and why do I have to buy from them, and why don't they have my preferred payment source? And what's with the tiny screen? And the janky "force feedback"? What's a Steel Runner, and why 2? And the price? I paid 700 for Tron, I think, which is a beautiful product. At least this game is it's 70" tall, the top 12" is a marquee, which is useless. But it is tall!! I'm out....
They did kinda shoot themselves in the foot by only relying on shophippo to ship this. They are a major partner with 1up but that cab won't stay there forever. Other retailers will get it eventually if it actually wants to sell
Shame they are using sinden tech with the white boarders, gun4ir seems the way to go, no boarders and the new version has very slim sensors. Modern gun games have them hidden behind the screen bezel anyway so you don’t see them. Would have been nice if this did the same.
It was primarily for cost. They are gradually lowering the quality standard while trying to BS as much money out as possible. Though this is partially retailers being ridiculous as well as they ultimately decide the price.
Informative video!
Thank you
They could have put 6 games on this by adding Time Crisis 2 and Point Blank 2

Yeah.. I suspect that the majority will approach this with caution at best and pure curiosity at worst
I seen they said that it is a "Very Limited" release. Maybe that's just so we can run out and buy it🤔

I know it's pricey but aren't you guys forgetting the price of the Sinden recoils and a foot pedal? They can't give it away for a loss!
Considering that there is a cheaper alternative and 1up just isn't willing to use it. That's on them.
whats the cheaper alternative? I was thinking of doing wiimotes on a vewlix lmao@@ConStormENT
@@ConStormENTdon’t you want it to be quality don’t go with cheap options
Wonder if it will have the white border requirement for sinden. Those recoils add weight to the guns even for adult users
the retro shooter box basically is a cheaper concept, and while i'm trying not to sound like an ad here. its at least got more to it.

The novelty of the arcade room in itself is wearing thin now.
They will not sell many for $750! What are they thinking??
they don't seem to be thinking. i think thats their problem right now.

I wouldn't go too crazy on the TV part. That can get much more pricey
Man that pricepoint hurts so bad when i already jave all of them on console working :/
It really is. Good luck with that console version though. Hopefully this videos trivia doesn't effect your gameplay super heavily

@@ConStormENT Thanks for the explanation, seems ok but the screens too small for me, ill stick to emulation and maybe buy some guns
17" inch screen? nah too small. rather 65" like i played tomb raider rail shooter at arcade

Cool but it will break down one day. Hope u know how to fix it. Lol
If the PCB Does Fail. the screen could be repurposed with a LVDS Board and a Wii or a Retro Shooter Box for even more variety.
£590 pounds isnt bad.
It is when you don't have a lot of money stirring around. Not to mention the screen size. That's probably the biggest miss for the entire project.
@ConStormENT well said, could made it slightly bigger and bit cheaper, has there been ones with guns before?
Everything you should Know Before You Buy..............DON'T BUY IT !
Good summary. Though this show is primarily an archive of sorts.
@@ConStormENT I was joking of course, but not that much...Nice vid !
Thanks for your honest opinion unlike Michael B who could never give any negative opinion cause of his shilling and the rest of his gang.
Constorm as an entity tries to maintain neutrality on any form of product but when some things are total BS. We actually account for them.
