    Since most of us grew up with captalism and marketing we don't see the insanity of the system. The least we could do for each other is to leave people's minds alone and let them decide what they do or don't want. Then, society would produce the goods and services people really want instead of what they are persuaded to want.

    • @Masami_Salami
      @Masami_Salami 2 года назад +10

      In a purely capitalistic system, the most basic presumption is that "people would always make decisions rationally" but that becomes increasingly more difficult (and wishful thinking) when some individuals possess / lack basic information regarding the decisions which they make. In turn, this presence of "asymmetrical information" creates opportunities for one party involved in a transaction to "take advantage" of the other party by engaging in practices which would drive away business if they became more transparent; this is also how one party might engage in fraud or trample over the civil liberties of individuals.

    • @nicklibby3784

      @@Masami_Salami like Facebook? Like when they colluded with Google and apple to ban Parler off all app stores then colluded with Amazon to make Parlers website go offline since it was hosted on amazons server alllll under the guise of "Jan 6 was planned on Parler and they don't monitor and have rules against inciting violence" even though they did have rules against it and monitored and reported it to the police every single day because they literally asked a police officer to monitor their platform everyday to investigate violent posts. Not only was their reasoning for Parlers ban untrue but the FBI came out and confirmed Jan 6 was planned on Facebook.......wow.

    • @nicklibby3784
      @nicklibby3784 2 года назад

      Yes while people's stupidity can prevent capitalism from reaching it's fullest potential it's still the better option compared to having the Government decide what/how businesses can advertise and what people should be buying/selling or what buisness can be open. Even if you fully believe in centralized plannings ability to be economically prosperous you cannot deny our governments corrupt will to use that power for their own gain, for example, govt invests in a company and only allows that one company to make super misleading advertising and regulates all other competing businesses ads so nobody wants to buy them. Now the market is rigged and the politician are making money off it. People would be getting a worse product for more money(maybe not at first, but after a year it would be true and would only get worse).

    • @nicklibby3784
      @nicklibby3784 2 года назад

      I think the real solution is deruglation for business(sounds counterintuitive I know) so that way small business actually has a chance to compete with big buisness.
      Big buissness lobby's politicians to pass regulations in exchange for campaign donations to win elections, the new regulations make it extremely harder to start a new buissness and keep it running unless you have plenty of capital and connections(like big corporations). Big corporations can afford lawyers and are friends with politicians to get around these regulations or just have to huge amount of money required to keep up with the regulation.
      Basically what I'm saying is a 12yr girl shouldn't be getting a ticket for running a lemonade stand without a food handler license and business permit......it really does happen(just not too, often as cops don't wanna ticket a child for a lemonade stand). But this does happen 99% of the time for small business owners, often time because of a big corporations "complaint" that they "don't look like they are up to regulation. Then get shut down because for some seemingly ridiculous reason that shouldn't be that big a deal.

      Well I think in this case it's the individuals responsibility to have some level of understanding about the workings of their own brain. We all have one, yet few really have much of a grasp about how it works. That is absurd if you think about it. Having this thing/brain that is responsible for everything you are, yet not even understanding that it can be influenced in ways that totally alter the choices you make. You actually practice (basic) Neuromarketing every day. When you enter the office and beam “goodmorning” to everyone (even if you don’t feel like it) it’s a way of using people’s social expectations of you in order to make them see you in a more positive way! You ~market~ yourself to others by using basic psychology principles - the use of machinery and monetary exchange doesn’t change the principle!
    And that’s totally fine!!!!! Say u r a doctor: you can either prescribe tons of (opioid) painkillers and get everyone hooked, or you can do your work and help them in a healthy manner. Neuroscience isn’t inherently “evil”; it depends on how and toward whom you use it!
    (Edit: this is a whole argument involving facts from psych/neuroscience to quantum physics, can’t possibly explain it in a comments’ section)

      A major difference is that we are capable of seeing through a lot of these false interactions in our daily lives, because we are designed to live in groups. We were never designed to be bombarded with a plethora of smells, sights, and sounds that were all designed to be as good as possible at getting us to have no choice but to buy something from a brand. If I say good morning to you every day, that doesn't make you want to give me money. That just makes you think I could be more pleasant than I am. They're similar but from different motivations.

    Neuromarketing is a tool, and in the case of marketing, it is used for 'evil'. But... I wonder if it could also be used for 'good'? Why not apply neuro science in order to help people improve their lives?
    I am not talking about manipulation or the corporations using it. But what about using it for improving your lifestyle? Being more physically active (and enjoying it), making healthy food choices. You could even apply it in ways to aid in fighting stress, anxiety and depression.
    Even raising your children, you are technically 'programming' them to be the way you want them to (you discipline them if they do things you don't want them to do, and reward them when they do things you want them to do). Which will eventually have a huge impact on their 'neurological programming'. So why not use this to 'hack' your own brain, and create a better life?
    Neuro marketing in itself is not good or bad; it is the way it is used for the consumers disadvantadge. But what if it was used for the consumers advantage instead? Would it be perceived differently then? (just to be clear, I will never support this being done non-consensually, in any way! But there are ways to use this on yourself, and 'consciously appeal to your subconscious'.).

    Lol the French interview
    The woman says “they did X”
    He says “no they didn’t - prove it”
    She says “we can - we have proof”
    And the guy tells her “no you don’t - we haven’t used those measures here” 🤪
    In other words: “lady, that was still in testing phase. We haven’t put this in the stores - now we are likely not to since we got found out…all that money in research 😩”
    Meanwhile she’s still sayin “well, They put your name here and….”
    He clearly freaked out over his direct involvement being pointed out 🤣
    The editing is a bit manipulative, but still a fantastic display of how to conduct an interview. Hold those feet to the coals
