- Kevin Young, lead singer from Disciple makes a life changing speech about Jesus Christ. Its so amazing that a band like this takes time out of their show to discuss this topic. This was taken at the Cup O' Joy in Green Bay. Though I have been a Christian for my whole life, this speech still changed me life and helped me have a more Godly outlook on everything in my life. I can listen to this over and over again and not get tired of it.
i was at a concert in Maryville, they’re hometown. Disciple was there. My dad was praying if we should leave or not. The Holy Spirit told him to stay. We did. Right in the middle of they’re performance, Kevin did a speech almost exactly like this. It wasn’t the same, but almost the same, about 30 minutes. That’s how i got saved through Jesus Christ that night.
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong. Be fearless. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord YOUR God will be with you where ever you go."
This speech brought me to tears. God has given us mercy, grace, forgivenss, love and redemption through Jesus Christ. Recieve Him..TODAY and experiece His love for you as you put your Trust and Faith in HIM.
I watch this every year.. It helped me stop drinking over two years ago.. Thank you God for your promise

I can't believe I have been a follower of Christ for so long and have not given a listen to Disciple (I have been into Christian rock since the late 70s).
Go disciple! I love this speech! More people need to see this, everyone share this on your enjin wall or facebook or wherever.
Praise Jesus for what he has done for us, Jesus saved me 20 years ago and he changed my life Forever, I love him so much and he loves me more than words, I am Soled out to Jesus Christ for all Eternity, Jesus is my God forever.
I really needed to hear this, my struggles have been tearing me down. I have felt that God's love was away from me and Christ's blood no longer covered me because of the evil things I have done. But now I know that He does love me and Christ's forgiveness is still upon me, and that I can and will conquer my addiction through Christ, and I am assured that I will overcome them! Bless you Kevin, your words through the Spirit reach yearning ears and broken hearts my brother in Christ. May our Lord continue to bless you and your group so that you may continue to reach more lives. May you stand firm and be continually encouraged as you continue your walk. So amazingly true ! God has delivered me from many dark sins. Only God is able ! Jesus paid our sin debt in full. And He transforms lives. Great message of God's truth. God bless !
I'm not one to comment on videos, but I was looking for a lyric video for Dear X and after I found one I started clicking on various Disciple videos because I LOVE this band. Long story short, this video broke me down, made me bawl, and I'm going to get my life and heart back on track. Thanks for posting this so many moons ago!

Saw this guys at rock and worship a few short years back. Went hard the whole time. I love Rock And Worship because everyone gets crazy and all the bands are fun. Winter Jam is still most of the time. I love both great bands playing every year the night I saw them, Hawk Nelson, and Lecrae (not a big rap fan Christian or not) and it was one of the greatest nights of my life. I would be pumped to see Disciple, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, and Family Force 5 on a big tour together.

I needed to see this. i needed to hear what was said. Theres a reason. Im going through a lot of crap right now. and i mean a lot. I have had new diagnoses' and were having money problems among many many other things. But, this, i needed it. Theres a reason im going through this. theres a reason all this is happening to me. i dont know why, and i was asking 'why god?'. But i dont need to know why. i know im in gods hands and he is doing this for my good. i thank god everyday that i have what i have.
im going to see Desciple in a month and i cant wait! and im very thankful that i get to see them in concert!

Last night I was at church with my friend. A few months ago my friend killed herself.. I had a blade I was looking forward to use... I went to the bathroom to use it, cause why not.. I just got out of out patient a few days ago, so I was wondering if I should or not so I wouldn't have to go back... Even if I didn't use it, I would have used it later... A voice came into my head and said "throw it away".. I was debating with the voice (God) and trying to argue. Arguing that I didn't need to, that it was just to have... after about 20 minutes of debating, I walked out of the stall, and threw away the blade... When I went back in, the guest speakers said "If you're hurting, please feel welcome to come up"... I wanted to go up, but I was scared. I was going to ask my friend, but she asked me first. We went up and her brother went up and started crying. I gave him a hug and held him and held her as well because she was crying too. She lost a friend a few days ago as well... At that moment, I realized God wanted me. More than I know, and ever will know.
Please know, your life is worth so much. I don't care what you did, your life is worth so much. God loves you and I love you. I may not know if anyone will read this, but know people care. I promise you, you are worth so much.

+Matjaz Krizaj It's no so much a lack o intellect as much as he's relating to his audience. A basic public speaking technique. You should read his lyrics. Some of them are incredibly deep and thouht provoking.

Not to distract from the beuaty and meaning but I'm willing to bet the heroine was in Ohio
I love this group but their plan of salvation is not biblical. Nowhere in scripture does it say accept Christ. Yeah Paul said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved yet he was speaking to the christians that got saved in the book of Acts by repenting and being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and then receiving the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues. Satan wants us to think just believe and accept and many good people do but there is more to salvation and being saved than that. If you just believe and accept i hate to tell you this, you are not saved and are still seperated from God. Read your own bible and if anyone contradicts the apostle Simon Peter who Jesus gave the keys to message then it is not truth and is not from God.
