You are a great teacher. The no warm-up drill seems like such a solid way of demonstrating if the rest of my pre-shot routine is any good. Also, i appreciated the shout out to Mark Williams. Days that he's playing well, no one is more fun and inspiring to watch.
Always love the way you explain things, Bob. I particularly liked the part where you talked about head first or “chin lock”. Thanks for all the time and effort you put in on this channel, big fan!
I’m not sure what it is but when you release a video about a certain topic such as this, it just seems like the perfect timing. As of the last three weeks or so, I have developed or instilled most of these steps so far and my game feels good. Thank you for all that you do. I think the biggest thing I take from all these advice is that it has made me more confident because it’s about simply trusting the process. Again great video!
I believe you meant to say, at your closing, that you’d rather see him miss with a confident stroke than MAKE a shot with an erratic stroke. (you used “miss” in both cases). Great info and advice in this video, thanks!
When I was twenty this aiming came instinctively. When I was forty-five I has to start wearing no-line tri-focal glasses. The worse my vision got the more inconsistent I got. At 75 I could see that my brain was telling me where shot line was on a cut shot (remember the balls look a lot larger than they did at twenty.) Unfortunately the shot line my brain was showing me was 1/2 ball off at the pocket at short distances, and even further at longer distances. I tried compensating, but it was hit or miss. At 80 I had cataract surgery. I can see the whole table now, and balls appear to be the real size. Unfortunately my brain is still telling me the shot line is in the wrong place. Then I line up the shot line with what I think is compensation for my brain, but it still hits the same wrong place. I’ve purchased Nick Barrows CAT tool so that when I take the shot line it is the real one. Hopefully repetition will fix my problem.
The Aim Point. The ' ghost ' point on the object ball provides the ' angle ' that you take back to the cue ball. The cue ball will strike the object ball by plus or minus 90 degrees with the zero point (degrees) is the dead center of the cue ball. The cue ball will only ever strike the zero-degree point when the cue ball, object ball and pocket are straight in-line. All other shots are some angle on the left or right of the center line of the que ball. Lining you stick behind the cue ball and the object ball to the pocket center (or rail -bank) - carry that line (cue stick) back to the cue ball. Directly under the cue stick-center-line transfers that angle between > zero and < 90 degrees. This point on the cue ball is the point on the cue ball that makes contact with the object ball.
Its possible. Filler too. Remember, I'm only talking about linking aiming to your process in this video. The pros have surely rehearsed other things to make that shot entry efficient and repeatable, and for additional reasons.
@ Yea thats true. Man your videos are great. I used to play a lot for years and took a long break from the game. When I came back I realized I basically forgot a lot about fundamentals. Your videos have helped quite a lot. Much appreciated!

Yes, I noticed that slip-up too late to fix it. Good catch!
Wow, great video! Thanks for all the time you put in to help people learn. Very appreciated.
This is an incredible video
Another great video. Thank you for sharing this information. This is very helpful.

Repetition will fix it. The brain is adaptable. You just have to keep feeding it the correct information.

In many of my videos I have explained this more succinctly. The contact point is not the aim point. THIS video assumes that already.

Wow. Give me your great skill
Is the Head-Grip-Bridge routine what Fedor Gorst does? The way he lines up to the shot seems perfect.

You have great concepts! I highly recommend you get a mic to improve video quality
that's a sweet looking cue. what is it?
@@p0mgarcia121987 Thanks. I describe it here: ruclips.net/user/liveUA6uS0G9qs4?si=zEUeQ42W6dN05XUE
Please what is right size of cue tip use in playing pool.
Best that you google that. There are TONS of discussions about it. Read some of them and learn from many others perspectives.
why most Americans use too much math? We Filipinos just bang it. Pool is a game of feeling.
Exactly! That is exactly what happens when you install aiming as I describe, you learn to see and trust your feeling immediately on every shot.
He’s explaining how the engine works!
@criticalthinker ...you may need to drop the 'thinker' portion of your name then?
And you know what happens when you aren't feeling it
You run way too many ads man I couldn't even watch
