    That's quite a surprise. The plate looked clean. Thanks for the video. 👌

      @HeatingGeek  6 лет назад +1

      It did look clean. The previous engineer said he gave it a clean too. Whatever he used didn't do the job though.

    clear explaining to sort out faults and good tips for repairs . Thanks.
    We had re-occuring F9 Faults in Glow-worm Flexicom 30sx system Boiler in the vey cold weather mornings. Called a local Engineer who changed few parts - Two Auto Air Vents and sensor to sort out the pressure problem. Boiler working fine Pressure Bar showing 1.4 when not running.
    One charge was for Electrode Product Code - is it a part or just being charged for nothing as I gave full Installation and Service Manuel to the Engineer at the start. Any views on this point.

    Fit allot of pressure sensors on these also the manifold they call it the support their bad for splitting .Done the vaillant ecotec course a while back and they said always check the canoe filter . Top job mate another excellent video as always 🖒

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks. Flexicom and ecotec are very similar and also totally different. Done too many supports (I call them the octopus ) not much fun but also easy enough once you have done a few. The Vaillant ones can be a pain with the screws underneath.

    • @simpsongary98
      @simpsongary98 6 лет назад

      HeatingGeek no changed any of the vaillant ones . Yeah their easy to do once you do the first one . Not a bad boiler to be honest . You ever get the f13 code ?

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  6 лет назад

      No. What is it?

    • @simpsongary98
      @simpsongary98 6 лет назад

      HeatingGeek f13 usually says pcb sensing fault . Usually it is the pcb you change the interface aswell . But also had it being the gas valve and the electrodes usually to do with the earthing it's one of them annoying ones . Looking forward to your other videos 🖒

    What an excellent video. It’s given me a visual indication of what the inside of my boiler looks like without me having to take my own apart. Where abouts in the UK are you based? I’m having an issue with mine where the boiler will cut out briefly after 30 minutes for about 3 seconds at a time and I’m stumped. If you’re local to the midlands id love it if you could check it out.

    What do you use for cleaning the plates?

    • @woodbine66
      @woodbine66 6 лет назад +3

      I always use Spirit Of Salts. Shifts anything from both sides of plate, especially scale and rust particles. It's acid so use your PPE. Only needs to be in for approx. 10 mins. Do it outside, because the fumes can be a bit nasty.

      Spirits of salt. Be very careful if you use it. Don’t do it inside and flush it out of the plate with water before you try to refit it.

    My flexi boiler when I put the radiators on the pressures rises to 2.3 2.4 bar but never drops back to 1 bar when it’s all turned off. I bleed the radiators and put heating on again and the pressure rises again. I’ve had a guy change the vessel but still happening. Any ideas?

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  2 года назад

      The filling valves are letting by. You will need to replace at least one of them to stop the issue. You can prove the problem first by disconnecting the flexible hose and seeing if it leaks.
