at this point we might as well start picking people from the crowd at random and let them check in to the games they’ll probably still be better than vuc
Good Cavs takes. Only note I'd have is that if Evan Mobley is the one to break out, it will likely be on the back of a career high assist year for Darius.
Out of their guys E-Mob would be best to break out. Mobley already has insane defensive potential, if he turns into a break out offensive star next to a guy like Jarrett Allen that’s a crazy front court pairing.
The Lakers biggest x-factor is JJ Redick. Ham was a very poor coach, but how good will Redick be in comparison? Vanderbilt would have also been a decent pick since without him the Lakers had paper thin defense on the perimeter last season. However, we haven’t seen Vanderbilt as an offensive threat, so whether he’s developed that at all will be interesting. We’ll see how many minutes Knecht gets.
Yeah i wouldve went with Vanderbilt as when he’s on the court with AD they have top 10 maybe top 5 defense in the league. And while he does lack in the half court offense he creates a LOT of transition ball and that’s where Dlo, Bron, and AR are at their best.
Vando isn't a offensive threat but he can develop a 3pt shot like he somewhat did his first year here. As long as he is healthy then he will be fine. To me the X factor is Rui. I think he needs to be traded due to his poor efforts defensively but I think to fix that they need to put him on the bench and surround him with defenders. Also him being a poor rebounder for his size didn't help as well
Have you seen recent pics of him? It's floating around Twitter a pic of Zion with kid fans, and he slimmed down a hell of a lot this offseason. I'm not at all implying Zion for MVP this season lol, but just saying that Jokic came in MVP convos once he lost some weight, so let's see if Zion's game drastically improves this coming year.

That dude is a badass and absolutely carried us in a handful of games last season before Chauncey as usual completely fucks up late game rotations. I would have picked Trey Murphy for New Orleans. At the end of the 2023 season, he looked poised to be a near All-Star in 2024. But then he tore his meniscus and that set him back a bit last year. If he takes the jump I think he can, that could make a huge difference for NO.
I think you are misinterpreting the definition of X Factor. It’s about the player who if they play well can change the projection of the team the most. Like good players are always good we know what we’re going to get but these players if they play better than expected will change how we project a team.
Yeah that's true, otherwise the x factor for the Mavs would be Luka or Jokic for Denver, they will provide the most value, if Luka plays terribly than obviously the Mavs will not have a nice season, but we don't doubt him.
For the Blazers, I think Ayton or Shaedon Sharpe have an argument for being the X-Factor. Given that Sharpe is on year 3 and Ayton didn't prove anyone right or wrong really this past season. Scoot I think should be next years for sure. Also, they got Simmons too. They are in the weirdest rebuild in the NBA imo😂
Dalton Knecht is the Laker’s x-factor. They have a bad bench, so the Lakers rely on Reeves being good night in and night out as a reliable starter.
