I like the way you did the couch. The whole "everything has to turn into a bed" mentality comes from RVs where families are stuffing a bunch of people into a tiny space for a short period of time. Most people who buy a bus are planning on living in it. Great job.
I have one word “grandkids” this may not be pertinent to young buslifers, but it is a definite factor for the empty nest crowd. The kids always love a Grammy adventure.
I was just going to add that idea. I agree, maybe even use two attachments when they're rolled up. That way they'd hang level without the ugly bend. No offense meant Issac. I love your builds and your lifestyle. This build IS better! Nice job.
I 💯 percent agree its such a beautiful build & the curtain looks kinda half ass. Just add a dowl rod to make it classy staight accross. The floppy curtains looks just that sloppy floppy takes away from the awesomeness of your work my only complaint love love love everything.

I love it. I love the color of the wood and curtains and all of it. I like having the ice box up higher to not have to bend and get everything out and organize. It makes it easier and can use at night for a table for water etc. you get better every time. The couch is plenty big enough and can always have brackets put on to lift and extend. If you need it wider. Great work and design, Issac. Got her done!

I always say the same thing about it feeling like a bus. I left so many original components in mine because I wanted to keep that nostalgic bus vibe. I also love the fridge location, very clever!
Another awesome build, great job!!! You asked, the only thing I would do different is the curtains as Daver mentioned. If your seamstress would put a little hem in the bottom to slide a small dowel in the curtains would hang and roll up neater and not look sloppy and would not droop down on the sides. The bus is done so classy, to me the roll up curtains look more like something you would see in a tent. I'm sure it won't stop someone from buying the bus, just something to think about in the next build. Great work Issac!
There are lots of things to love about this build -- but like many of them, it looks like a death trip. here's some things I see: No fire extinguisher, locks on the outside unable to be unlocked from the inside (these are emergency exits you've defeated!), and poor material selection near range - - and in general. Wood is easy to work with, but has a strong tendency expand and contract with humidify, mold, and in this case it's surrounding the propane stovetop. Speaking of the cooktop, it wasn't remotely installed correctly per NFPA 1192/ANSl, or the manual. The distances are not large enough to combustible materials, and it's lacking a hood. I suspect you'll find similar problems if you read the manual for the hot water heater.
I see that stuff missing on a lot of van, bus, or cargo trailer builds and it's a shame. People don't have the right shutoffs for electrical or propane lines. They don't have spray fire extinguishers or fire extinguisher balls near electrical stuff in case a fire happens while they're gone. They don't have heat shields or hood vents for the stove. They don't have emergency exits in case of a rollover. They don't have adequate locks for break-ins or for vehicle theft. They don't have locks on their water fill ports. They keep diesel tanks for a heater inside the living space. They don't have CO, CO2, or propane detectors when or where they really should be. Be safe out there. Shit happens and it's best to be prepared.
Best to be prepared for sure but also the point of living this way is to be free as possible. “Safety standards are just the man’s way of dictating how we live. If they feel comfortable with how it’s installed and feel safe enough who cares.

I liked the idea of where you located the water pump switch. I think I'll do that too except that I'd also run an additional switch to the bathroom/toilet area. What I didn't like was the placement of the diesel heater muffler. I like to install my mufflers flat or parallel to the ground & pitched downward so that water won't collect inside of them. I would have tried to route the exhaust pipe to the wheel well or some other less visible spot. At the least, you can cut the exhaust pipe or buy an extension and put the muffler inline but under the chassis & then just have the other end of the 1" pipe bracketed to the edge of the vehicle. That way the muffler is out of sight & less of an eyesore.
@@isaacturnerit Yes, I run the exhaust tubing under the body or along a side rail of the chassis. I attach the tubing to the chassis frame using electrical conduit brackets and some self-taping screws.
@@isaacturnerit That's the inherent danger of diesel heaters & why we mount the end of the exhaust pipe so that it's by the outside edge of the vehicle & pointed away from the undercarriage. Normally a breeze will keep the fumes from accumulating under the body & leaking into the cabin but we can't always predict the weather or wind direction. Any time a heater or propane stove is installed you should also install a carbon monoxide detector to be safe. Sometimes in extreme conditions people will run their vehicle A/C and the engine's exhaust can also be a danger, so your friend should look into sealing the undercarriage better to keep the fumes out. Plus mice & insects can find their way into the vehicle if it isn't sealed properly. Diesel heaters, propane furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, propane stoves, etc, are all dangerous to use so carbon monoxide & low-oxygen detectors are a must-have if your system has any of those components.
Wow Iaasic, great job 👏. Perfect! I'm sure it will be gone in a jiffy, love ❤️ the colors, it has EVERYTHING !Calling the bank Monday, I wonder if anything can be put over to cover the fridge? Like a table cover just for esthetics.

Are you saying exhaust under the body? I’m not sure I am following
@@isaacturnerit Yes, I run the exhaust tubing under the body or along a side rail of the chassis. I attach the tubing to the chassis frame using electrical conduit brackets and some self-taping screws.
@@kst357 yo I had a friend do that and he got sick from the exhaust fumes
Diesel heaters, propane furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, propane stoves, etc, are all dangerous to use so carbon monoxide & low-oxygen detectors are a must-have if your system has any of those components.
nice job I followed as you were doing came out really amazing love the shower and omg!! I agree on the fridge location
Thanks yo!
5 yrs ago I bought a 1100 v star. I'm now looking for something bigger for longer rides thanks for the info on this bike
Absolutely beautiful!❤

Wow Iaasic, great job 👏. Perfect! I'm sure it will be gone in a jiffy, love ❤️ the colors, it has EVERYTHING !Calling the bank Monday, I wonder if anything can be put over to cover the fridge? Like a table cover just for esthetics.
Hmm maybe but that’s the owners job to make it their own
@@isaacturnerit yes I understand. A table cloth is ok and would not hurt the function? It is pretty
I love the dedication to quality!
