    I have a tip for you on cutting Walnut or any wood for that matter on the cnc. If you rough cut it 95%- 99% of the final dimension and then finish cut that last 1-5 % with a sharp single flute down cut End Mill it will give you very crisp and clean top edges and virtually no hand cleanup necessary. Depending on what you're cutting you might need to change that percent a bit but that's what I use most of the time. I use a compression bit for the rough cut so that it keeps the bottom nice and clean and doesn't blow out the top fibers as much

      Cool tip man.

    • @tomb816
      @tomb816 Год назад +1

      Thank you for saying it. So many content creators have started using CNC routers w/ little knowledge of how to properly implement tool usage. Always use a rough end mill first and clean-up to the final dimensions w/ a finish bit. Running around all the edges w/ a chamfer or round-over would've been a nice touch, too.

      Im sorry but if you were an executive in an engineering company you wouldnt be so hyped about this. This channels projects are nice, but none of this is particularly hard or undoable for a professional engineer. All the people here are getting ultra hyped even tho most of it is rather basic engineering work. Just look at his last video, this camera lens thing, some guys in the comments are right now loosing their minds on the "precision" and "build quality" altought its made of 3D printed parts and aluminum profiles. This is just because 95% of the viewers are complete outsiders to engineering or any kind of metallwork or electronics so the stuff he builds looks like black magic, to someone actually working in industry its possibly entertaining but not very exciting to be honest.
