Hi, looking forward to buy this thing for high school. Can It handle the bumps, like bump from a desk corner or getting rubbed against the wall etc.. Does it get scratches easily? And how is the plastic? (I have a smartwatch for 3 years and I afraid of scratches)
Great review. I have the black dial with green color accents version. Paid $19 for it. Insane value. I like the way it looks and wears. Probably the best value analog digital watch. I've taken mine swimming, it has been covered in sunscreen and sweat, it still looks and works brand new after 2.5 years. Casio rules this price segment.
The fact we can get it for sub-$20 and it works is incredible. Then the fact it functions well is baffling. Then when it lasts you for 2.5+ years, it's incredible! Totally agree and I'm glad yto hear you have a fantastic watch like this!
Bought mine in the UK for £13.99GBP placed called ARGOS such a great beater watch ... its fantastic ...Remember anyone who buys one when setting the day date do it at 6am that way the day wheel will rotate...seen so many reviews stating its broke... no its not just set day date at 6am...AND IF YOU WANT A DIGITAL BEST VALUE BEATER TRY THE AE1500 full digi piece that also is excellent !!! You need review one if not already !!! Great review of an iconic Analouge casio MUST HAVE in yer collection !!!
I have this exact watch (black dial) and I love it. Inexpensive, rugged, looks great, light weight, comfortable to wear, and keeps very good time. Resin glass scratches pretty easily, but honestly for the price you can just buy a new one, although after two years I still haven’t had to. I’m a pilot and I put this watch on when I fly because the black dial with white hands and numbers is super easy to see and does not reflect light. Great watch! Great video!
Hi! First of all kind regards from Mexico! I had this watch for almost 9 years and it's still working, I have needed to use Poly watch on the crystal to try remove scratches as much as I could. I've changed the battery twice in those 9 years and I'm thinking to get a new one with a different color and the main reason is that this watch was a gift from my father when I was at high school and it has been pretty good for me as a daily watch.
Added it ‘cauze I like Casios. Now it’s my exercise (especially swimming) go-to because it’s the only watch I can clearly see the time without my glasses.
You know you can just force the keeper to the end of the tail. I have a slightly smaller wrist than you (I’m on the second notch) so tails are usually a problem, and a plethora of my Casio’s have bobbed straps with the exception of the F91’s. But yes, the strap keeper on the MRW 200H is capable of stretching and holding the tail down.
Good review, I'm wearing mine now, got it early this year, used it for swimming with no problem. Probably put my G-Shock Rangeman on later on tonight as it has the auto backlight. I keep it in my bag in case the G-Shock is a bit much and need a more subdued watch. A great grab and go watch for casual wear.
Add clear film lens protector if the easily scratched crystal is a problem for you..... ebay has these as a custom-size cut package for about $3 ( incl 3 protectors).....there ya go.

The MRW is definately higher quality for 1/10 the price. I think the Casio name on the dial is just as iconic/cool as the Omega x Swatch branding.

Most of my analog watches have day/date complication. I kind of don't care, but I would prefer they didn't have it, since I prefer symmetry over a complication I never read.
I don't know why, I'm still waiting for the comparison to other microphones. 🤨😅 I didn't know you had a watch channel. I have one of these, since several years ago (too many). It refuses to die, despite of my lack of care (cuz I want to change it). Amazing watch, but the bezel gets really hard to rotate after the second year. I've tried using a couple of lubricants, but it gets almost stock again really fast. And yeah, the lume is so weak, it is useless. But it is a great watch. I still wear it. Even after all these years, and unintentional hits, the accuracy is still 3-5 seconds per month. Water resistance is still on point. Amazing.
Great review! The three year battery life is a dealbreaker for me. I’m currently enjoying an inexpensive Casio watch with a 10 year battery that also displays the YEAR ! ( CASIO model W-800HM ) But I do enjoy your timepiece tech review style very much!
These last few reviews have been.... "Chef's Kiss....." Also this Casio is a great vacation watch. Keep up the hobbie, Im having a blast watching you do this.

Have a question. Why does the watch show the englich day only for about 2-3 hours and then switches to Spanish for the rest of the day. That’s kind of annoying since I don’t speak Spanish.
I may or may not have forgotten to include a U87 for size comparison in my next wearing experience video....but I rectified it by filming a late comer to the comparison.
Absolutely! I've gone down the watch rabbit hole too deep, and although I appreciate a lot of the higher end stuff, I keep coming back to Casio. The 5600 is the watch that does it for me most.

I come back to this video every once in a while just because I find it so funny. All for 17 dollars and 92 cents.
Great watch for the noney i paid 23 bucks its a great daily beater and looks good too. Great for pool use and around the house cutting grass.
I have the orange numerals version which has a Luminox vibe to it. But will choose this over Luminox all day long.

It's a sturdy watch yes but I realised that it's a scratch magnet.
Excellent watch. On the strap, just cut off the excess length and trim it!! Takes just seconds!
That type of strap doesn't last very long, do the lugs work with a NATO strap?
It takes an 17 or 18 mm proprietary strap
