    Hello my name is Kyrie and I am 9 years old,
    I have started learning since I was 6 but I blew it with my last piano teacher... I forgot everything he said.
    But now I learned a valuable lesson to be a good listener, and this is such a big help to me and besides, very soon I'll be enrolled to go to a piano school and I hope I keep learning from this. Thank you for the teaching.
    -One of your loving students of piano

    🙏Namaste. No words are enough to praise for the patience, labour, time and money you’re devoting on these cumbersome free piano lessons with such a magnanimous heart when some true music lovers round the globe are unable to pay heavy fees. And the way you’re teaching looks as easy as drinking water. You’re doing a great job by teaching music, the only divine instrument that has no language and can break all man-made barriers. And it is true if everyone in the world learns music we can definitely wipe-out terrorism, separatist agitations, hatred and cruelty. Lots of love from India and May god bless you. 🌿

    Now in this lesson you are not playing with same fingers as shown in previous lesson. Which is correct?

    • @PianoVideoLessons

      I thought I answered this a long time ago....but now the reply is not there.
      So here you go:
      There are 88 keys on the piano and only 10 fingers. We can play the 5 fingers of each hand on any key, each piece of music can be different!

    • @PianoVideoLessons

      This is a drill to work all of the fingers, and to pay attention to changes. There are no set fingers on specific notes and it's good practice to pay attention to finger numbers.

    • @PianoVideoLessons
      @PianoVideoLessons  7 лет назад +1

      The two 4's are the time signature, directing you to count 4 quarter notes. (You'll learn more about that later! Lesson 13) The small 5 I think you noticed is the measure count. The measure or bar directly beside that number is the 5th measure of the piece.

    • @PianoVideoLessons
      @PianoVideoLessons  7 лет назад

      I am writing with a mechanical pencil.
      Each note lives on a specific line or space. You'll learn all of that in lessons coming up in this series, or you can check out the Note Reading Crash Course, or Note Speller for Piano series of videos here on my channel.

    • @debojitacharjee
      @debojitacharjee 7 лет назад

      PianoVideoLessons I know that each line on the staff represents a note (C/D/E/F/G/A/B/C#/Eb/F#/Ab/Bb) but how do I know the note on the staff belongs to which octave on the piano? Here I am talking about the scale. For example if a whole note is just between the 5th and 4th line of the staff counting from down to up. Then we can say that the whole note is F key on the piano but F key of which octave? I also want to know how to find the mid C key on different pianos with different number of keys. THANK YOU!

      What about pianos more than 61 keys?
      I came to know that the best way to find mid C of any piano is to find the frequency 261.6 Hz using any note finding app like pitched tuner. Now could you please tell me how do I find the octave of the notes from the staff of any sheet?
