@@flyyceethemilitant2946 Soldier Didn't you watch the earlier videos? Liberia was founded by former slave but they enslaved the local population. Maybe they can use their reparations to pay the reparations they owe.
Slavery was thriving way before the Europeans showed up. All people from every part of the world at some point have been both slaves and slave traders, so how do we figure out who owes who money?
You really expect to receive land if you go to Africa when most people there don't have land? Be grateful you're not living in third conditions like these people. If this guy could pull himself out of poverty in Liberia through hard work, what is your excuse as an American? Waiting for free money that will never come isn't going to make your life better.

I've been there also, it can be scary if you're used to living in a first world country and go there not knowing what to expect, hearing only about the war stories. Obviously it is no longer a war zone, but it still feels the effects of the war - the crime rate is very high, police don't really do their job unless you're very rich, human rights are almost nonexistent, medical practice is abysmal and people die in hospital all the time from preventable things. It's pretty terrible. Hopefully it can get better because many good people live there.

Strong work! I deployed to Liberia in 2014-2015 to help combat the Ebola epidemic. A wonderful country of wonderful people who desperately need assistance. Truly appreciate my experience there and appreciate the work you do to bring attention to the plight of Liberians.

Liberia. You have such a great potential. You have smart people that are into computers and such. You guys can make a little Silicon Valley. I don't know much about Liberia but seeing footages I can tel politicians are taking in a lot of money and not giving it to prosper the country. I think Liberians and Liberians around the world has to have a community who is goal is to make Liberia a more prosperous country. Always contribute something to your motherland even your successful in either Europe or America etc.

Incredible, I lived in Liberia from 1984 to 1988, and I can attest to the fact that Hotel Africa was really nice back then. I used to live about a mile up the St Paul River from it and used to boogie board and surf that beach. That civil war was such a shame, but we saw the tension growing in the 80s and knew it was only a matter of time. The Liberians are great people, but still very tribal.

    @ Pleasant Green
Let me stop you at the 2:50 point. Liberia was not founded by free black slaves from America. Instead, some of the Free black slave from America settled in Liberia. There was Villages and Towns there. The name "Liberia" might have been named by the free black slave from America but the country was not founded by the free black slave from America. You saying that Liberia was founded by the free black slave from America is like me telling you that the United States was found by Christopher Columbus. ( is that true?) Christopher Columbus discovered that this land that is now known as the U.S existed while he was on his quest, but it was not founded by Mr. Columbus. With that facts.... let us continue with the video. And yes, I am a Liberian! .... Facts check #2: 3:19. The Civil war in Liberia did not last for 24+ years. The first civil war started 1989- 1996. Second war started 1999 - 2003. 7+4 does not equal 24+ years.

The water balloons you call water balloons are not called water balloons but pure water, I know it's a weird name but that's what I grew with, but sometimes the water are not that PURE, some are gotten from wells, so you gotta be careful what brand you take :)
