It was GREAT to meet your Grandfather and see where your love of trucks, travel and adventure comes from. Love your honesty, sincerity and positive outlook on life and raising your family in Oregon. Now, this is what I come here for, interesting stories, the "what will Casey do today?" stuff (IE, the shenanigans that sometimes look sketchy but not really) helping folks out, doing good deeds (they never go undone, not unappreciated, good on ya there), seeing the beautiful areas you drive in (as you call your "office") and the early sunrises, late sunsets, the occasional mishaps (like when the antique Dodge creates an inspection hole in Eastern Washington, heading to Canada for a good deed) and now, seeing the shorts where you crash your cab over truck, the story of the truck fire, and now the connecting of the dots and why things come and go, stuff like that in celebration to getting back to where you began.
This is exactly as should be, you doing what you love, entertaining us all in the process. I DO love your work helping keep the Oregon forests clean and open for us all to share and enjoy.
As the old song (and saying goes) KEEP ON TRUCKIN' MY FRIEND.

In regards to all the wheeling and dealing, I've mentioned before that I have a friend/former co-worker that is much the same - almost every deal he does makes him enough that he isn't spending past his initial funding balance, and he has a blast doing it. I am from Germany and as such far away from US business and everything around. I follow your channel for 3 (?) years now, and I am still impressed by the workload you are able to handle more or less on your own:
Re-building your business from scratch, doing light duty recoveries for free (thanks to facebook and co), doing all your "professional" stuff, producing all the social media content and even being able to do PLS stuff, attending fun events and fairs and even having time for family & friends.
You are an absolute nerd and would probably drive me crazy if I would work for you, but you are absolutely great in what you do!

And that story is why all my trucks have had a 2kg CO2 extinguisher in the cab and a 9kg dry powder one on the back somewhere. Even my 4x4s have a 4.5kg DP on board. Oh, and CO2 ones act as an engine strangler if you get a runaway.

Son of a gun! I was born and raised in Ukiah CA myself! It’s a small world. After graduating high school ( Let’s hear it for Ukiahi!) I drove school bus for a couple of years. I got married and we moved to the Bay Area in 1971. I’ve been there ever since. I get up to Ukiah once in a while. It hasn’t changed much except for all the lumber mills closing as well as the Masonite plant. I don’t get up there much now since both my folks are gone.

That you lost everything, had to start over from scratch again, and your wife stuck by you and helped/watched you pull up your boot straps, and completely rebuild yourself and your company from scratch. THAT'S a ride or die woman right there, and it seems there aren't many women like that anymore! Casey,
The more I watch you, the more respect I have for you. I first started watching because it was interesting to see different stuff. I then kept watching because it was interesting, but you always explained things, so I was learning things. Over time I really appreciated your great attitude towards everything, but the episode with the ignorant hotshot driver, and your no nonsense attitude towards safety stuck with me. I have been driving garbage trucks for over ten years and am very lucky to work for a company that truly believes safety is priority #1 and I love it. When I see someone else who also believes that but isn't preachy about it. I like it. As far as wanting to hear more about the business, I am always willing to learn, so anything you are willing to share, I would more than happily watch. Actually as I look over at the recommended videos, I see there is "The Reason I Won't Hire Drivers For My Trucks" I am going change my notification setting so that I will see new videos without searching for them, and then I will go watch it. Thanks for sharing! Paul

You looked quite emotional as you passed the truck fire spot . I'm sure you shared that moment with your family and you should because it's clearly a very significant moment for you that you will reflect on over and over again during your life . Remembering those moments and what you've achieved since make today's problems look very small . It's been great to share the ride with you so far. I look forward to the next stage of the story.

That is a big truck! I live in Reno, Nevada. Oddly, with Nevada plates on a car, 90% of the time, we just get waived through the produce checks when going into California. And going from Reno to Lake Tahoe, CA, there aren't any checks.

I won hundred percent commend you for sticking to what you want to do with a heavy hauling and heavy rescue. I think you’re 100% right to get rid of your flatbed and your sleeper tow truck just to have a regular pick up. I just think it’s kind of a shame that you get rid of your little wrecker. As handy as it is for all seasons and for the followers that fallowed you some of the winter / forest service road recovery’s that you did with it. But thank you for all the great content and all the great things that you do to help people. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations Casey on getting yourself back to where you want/need to be. You are truly an inspiration on how you've overcome all the obstacles that life has thrown at you. I've been with your channel since the beginning, right from the very first video to this one. I remember all the earlier vehicles you've had and all the adventures/rescues you've done with all of them. I wish you continued success in all that you do and richly deserve. You've earned your way to where you are and who you are.

    Why are people criticizing Casey?
Ive seen nothing on any video ever of his that warrants it?
Just a guy doing his best to succeed thru hard work is all i see with some good will thrown in to help out those who are struggling.

Casey, thanks for catching some of us relative newbies up. Returning to your roots must be a great feeling and what better way than an endorsement from your Grand Parents! Love the philanthropy and entertaining videos that Cascade Heavy Rescue and "The" Casey LaDelle (who we all hate) 🤣 represent!

Came first for the track jeep snow recoveries, enjoyed the shananigans and watching you help people out and am now very excited to see future heavy haul. Brilliant.

I remember starting to watch the channel when you got the black truck. The video that I remember was when you were picking up a customer car and some locals got worried that you were towing for parking where they shouldn't have. Good times.

Thank you for all the great videos on your RUclips channel. Your families/friends first values are a inspiration for everyone that's struggling. Who ever buys equipment from you can trust there not being lied to scammed etc. From day one buying your equipment another family can support themselves. Safety first have a most wonderful day.

As always, a great video! Thank you for being so open about the struggles you've been through. In my humble opinion, you're not simply back to where you were five years ago. You've surpassed that place in so many non-monetary ways. You should be very proud of yourself! 💜
