My lack of emotional control is MY problem and MY problem only. Yes it’s a chemical imbalance but it’s MY chemical imbalance. I fight daily to not affect those around me with my personal problems. Yes i have to work a little harder at life to have any sense of normalcy yes it’s exhausting yes im tired but i love people and life more than anything. So I’ll do this til i die. With God , i can handle it just fine. He didn’t make me this way for no reason. 🤷🏽‍♀️ i like to think God blessed me with passion (intense emotions) 😅

As a lawyer, I want to offer the following for the purposes of entertainment or education (but not legal advice): self defense is just that. A defense. It is amazing how many people think it is a literal get out of jail free card. Acting in self-defense does not mean a prosecutor cannot charge you. It means that a jury is allowed to listen to the facts presented and choose between convicting you, in this case of homicide, or in not convicting you of that offense. The reason that is important in regards to this video is that the man in question clearly did not understand how it works, and is very arrogant in his misunderstanding.
Even if we credit him with not knowing he had hit anyone, discharging a firearm in a public space is a crime in basically every U.S. jurisdiction. If you discharge a firearm in public and get called down to the police station so they can ask you some questions, bring a lawyer. Even if you believe you were acting in self-defense and that the cops will see it that way, bring a lawyer. Do something wrong and you're afraid you'll look guilty if you ask for a lawyer or bring a lawyer with you? Well guess what, it doesn't matter because the prosecution is not allowed to address it. So bring one and don't be featured in a JCS vid.

It has nothing to do with feeling threatened. It has everything to do with hatred towards anyone whom they view as unlike themselves. And then the imagine threats that don't actually exist to justify that hatred retroactively.
What makes it worse is this idealization of a gun as their means to enforce that hatred on the world if they find themselves in what they think is the right situation to use it. So many of them talk about their guns and how much they trained to use them in situations like this if they ever felt like they were being confronted. being what could be referred to as a gun expert, i totally get where you're coming from. the degree of fetishization one tends to have towards their weapons always lines up pretty perfectly with how much they want to use them. certain contexts renders that pretty moot, like hunters, competitive shooters and merc types have a tangible motivation to obsess over high end custom kit(and the people who make their living selling to them). but this guy only owns and carries a gun because he actively wants to use it and his type is frighteningly common.

The proof of that is the guy who said: "I heard loud music, I didn't like it, I left", meaning if you have the option of leaving then you're not under threat . That tells you the guy went to look for this outcome and even in the case of self defense the law says 'reasonable action' meaning if the guys are fleeing you don't have the right to keep shooting at them because they are not longer a threat to you, only psycho like Dunn might think that's self defense. The integrity of that woman will forever amaze me. Bless her heart.
The camera pinning on who I assume are the victim's family while the defendant graphically discribes the reimagined moment of the shooting breaks my heart. The contrast between the faces of these people witnessing the testimony and the tone of him just coldly reenacting his vividly callous decision couldn't be sharper. Whatever the defence tried to do with that manner of presentation only helped to solidify how absent any remorse in that man is.
But as horrid as the case was, it sure wasn't a tough investigation. There are countless of complicated, long lasting and even unsolved cases out there, it's truly releaving to see one so clear and simple, complicated only by the suspect's extraordinary believes about the outcome. It's near comical how wrong he was to assume he'll be justified as long as he says so.
Tragic nontheless. May the family and friends be consoled in getting justice and always have whatever they need for support in their grief.

I’m trying to fathom what business it was of his in the first place to tell someone to turn down the music in their own space. His entitlement and bias is evident. The fact that before the incident he described the music as “thug music” to Rhonda says everything. He actually believed he had a right to dominate them and then punish them when they didn’t comply the way he wanted. Sickening.
He just assumed that 3 young men in a car playing music were thugs, were criminals and were a threat to his life. His vile prejudices were his downfall.

you realize that "gangsta rap" is a real genre of music, and a significant amount of rap music has lyrics that glorify crime, right? so i am not sure how many negative assumptions you can really make about a person for describing music that often glorifies crime as "thug" music. people of all races who are not into that type of music may consider it "thug" music, so you seem to be falling for the common error pushed by mainstream media to see any white person interacting with a black person in a negative way as obviously due to racism, when racism is not really as prevalent as they want you to think. it is probably more likely that a drunk, crabby old man felt threatened when a bunch of punks insulted him and acted aggressively towards him for asking them to turn the radio down and he did something stupid and shot at them. the media is so desperate for examples of racism that they will try to turn any incident involving white and black people into an example of it, you should be wary of this.
