I have this juicer and my mom found out how to do this. Its the healthiest ice cream ever! You can add yogurt or nothing. I made mine with peaches, strawberries and mango. I added a bit of lemon juice and it was perfect.
You can also add a small amount of yogurt when you are putting the fruit through for a really creamy consistency. Banana and any fruit gives a good consistency too. I want to try something like peach/mango and will later in the season when they're fresh.
Thanks great video! :0) I have had the Omega VRT350 for awhile now. Just bought the NC800. I heard of using frozen bananas but not other frozen fruit. I have some organic blueberries and strawberries in my freezer. Can't wait to try them this way.
TheLittlmystri We do any and all types of fruit through the Omega 8006 to make sorbet. It is easy and tasty! If they happen to be fresh fruit we just freeze them for a few hours before hand.
@@Jar0fMay0 I used the screen one, lots got stuck inside that tube and coated the auger and tube but, when I spooned it out, it was super creamy, no seeds like the stuff that came out.
How does the omega compare to champion. Juicer for ice cream? I have my heart on an omega. But the champion always makes its ice cream look like a fluffy cloud
I have never used the Champion juicer. With the omega I have made sorbet which is similar to ice cream but definitely not ice cream. I love the sorbet results we get from the Omega!!
How frustrating! I looked this up to make sure I was using the right attachments since I don't have the manual handy. I would think that would be a standard starting point.
if you are going to juice a lot I would avoid omega juicers due to a problem with the juice screen breaking, every 1-2 years and it cost $15 shipping to get the replacement if still under warranty.
I was VERY UPSET to realize the Omega makes a sorbet that is not smooth but that has little skins of blueberries (for instance). I previously owned a SAmson (very similar to Omega) so that is why I knew it was not smooth. I sent it back for a refund and then bought a second hand Samson. Does anyone ever experienced that?
Man that's one hella loud cold press juicer, sounds like a lawnmower! _So_ glad i decided on buying the Oscar neo instead. Totally dodged a bullet there like, well... Neo himself(woah).
omega 8006 ....its not loud at all ..I have it also ...and it does sound loud on a vid but in a reality its not loud ...I ve had regular cheap juicers before ...these were incredibly loud..this one is great

Great tip!
I knew I was missing a step. Passing it through twice is a good idea. Thank you.
First vid i actually learned how to process frozen fruits to get sorbet. Thanks a lot
Finally someone showing us how to make this! Can u also show how to make pasta with this juicer?

TorontoMetalMom That sounds awesome! We'll totally try that next time with some coconut yogurt.
Just ordered mine and I am soooooo excited. Thanks for the info you've helped me a lot 👍🏾
Thanks for this video, will definitely be utilizing my Omega more often.
Thanks for the round about idea. I bought this machine for making sausage. Some of the varieties require emulsified meat ie: Hot Dogs, Bologna ect
That's great! I'm curious what made you choose the omega over a Kitchen aid attachment?
@@icanjuiceit Because it was the only one i found to be rated to do meat.
@@magicman9486 How cool thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the guidance and thoughtful tips!
No Problem.
Can you make a video showing a recipe for lemon sorbet?

Im so happy it helped.

which juicer do you prefer
? any thoughts? or should i go for the green star elite?
I’m buying the omega 800 or 900 in a few days can’t wait to try this oops looks like I’m a bit late lol.
You can also put that gelato in a mixer with a little bit of fresh orange or apple juice to make it softer and less sour...
Francheska7778 Awesome tip. Thanks for sharing!
im thinkin honey
thanks for sharing. I can't wait to make some! is there any waste or does every bit of fruit get extracted?
Rosalia Nolen HI Rosalia, Pretty much every bit of fruit comes out. There might be a little residue but nothing to complain about.
Thanks for the recipes! You used the filter with the screen, right? I couldn't see.
No. Use the blank one.
Also, sweeten the ice cream by adding sugar, stevia, etc. If they're store bought, they'll be sour.

Can it press oil

Any reason you didnt mix both berries at once?
Lovely
what a good idea will it keep in the freezer a week or so?please thankyou
It will keep in the freezer. It i so easy to make we do it all the time with the kids as an fun activity.
I meant sorbet... Not gelato
We wanted to make two different flavors but you can definitely just dump everything in there! Thanks for watching!
Nice

Please, anyone doing a food video..a spatula is preferable to fingers for the sake of aesthetics and practicality.

There's a PDF of the manual online.

angel juicer ftw!
I've had mine for over 6 years now, using it often and I have never had anything break other than the auger and they replaced it for free.
