There is no better feeling than having your sunday morning coffee and watching Becki and Chris on helicopter advanture! Yes please!!! :) Always love these helicopter/travel series
The music. The editing. The opening sequence. The structure. The storytelling. The humor. The aspect ratio (oh, how cinematic!). To borrow a term from my favorite RUclipsrs... deadly🙂!! Seriously, great stuff. Can't wait for ep 02.
So appreciate how safe Chris is with the weight of what you are packing and where. I never would have thought that you needed to worry about bear safe containers in the helicopter, wild. Excited for this series. You both do such a great job of talking us through everything. Have to have the kayaks 🤣 Thankfully you are back editing this so we know the bears weren’t too bad. ❤
Y’all are pros! Your pre-trip planning is so intentional, I definitely learned a lot. Also surreal to see the Remote Designs gear in your video! This helicopter kayak camping is so rad, can’t wait for the episodes to follow.
Thanks dude! Love the bag and the hip pack, was sad to have to leave them at home in the end because of space but took it out on our first attempt at kayak camping and it was so good!
Love a good pre pack! I honestly get more excited about gear acquisition and planning than the actual trips! I'm probably telling you what you already know, but a while back I had a massive epiphany when weighting all my bags - just the caches, dry bags, stuff sacks and gear bags. I mean who doesn't love over the top organization - however I was shocked at how much weight all the mini bags added up too. This is probably irrelevant when you have a heli lugging the gear rather than two legs, but I recall shaving 3kg off a 20kg backpack, just by switching to a couple of ziplock bags, and a single bigger ultra light dry bag. Big deal if you're walking (or trying to save avgas) anyway - just thought it was interesting. Can't wait for the next ep :)
Y'all are such great storytellers my goodness! I can't imagine the amount of work to get everything squared away for just a couple-day trip LET ALONE capturing it to tell an engaging story. That's daunting in and of itself. Y'all did a SUPERB job!
I discovered you guys thanks to Matti's podcast. Headed to your channel by curiosity and although we are a bit older than the two of you, I found so many parallels between what you guys are doing/like to do with what my wife and I are into (photo/video, home renovation, travelling...even helicopters somehow but that's a long story...) that I literally watched tens of your videos on my way to Mexico City.... amazing content, super high quality and fun to watch... congrats for the great job
The filming/editing of this is absolutely next level! You've truly become pro's this and I can't begin to imagine the amount of work and effort you both most put into these kinds of things. Love it!
This is legitimately the best intro episode for a series like this. The amount of work that went into JUST the edit for this, let alone the insane planning, filming, and everything else…so so good you guys. Way excited for the rest of these episodes, bring it.
Absolutely loved this Episode of your trip to Canada, as I do with all of your videos. Great technical production and fantastic storytelling. If I could offer one tiny suggestion regarding the storage of bear spray in the helicopter. I know that police helicopter pilots will not allow any pepper spray (the human form of a bear spray) into the chopper unless it is stored in an airtight container and stored away from the passenger area. If one were to accidentally discharge within the passenger compartment.....well, you know.
I know your channel is not about that but I’m here almost every day to learn about storytelling. You guys are great telling a story and keep the emotion high every time.
I’ve been saving this series for a good day and so glad I started it today! It’s raining in LA so got comfy with tea and snacks…going to binge watch! 🍵🍿🌈
As a university student studying mechanical aerospace engineering, watching your videos really helps me de-stress at the end of a long day of studying. I'm sure the same effect is felt by many others as well!!
As a backpacker it's fun to see your packing decisions when weight and space are limited. Time for some Ultra Light gear. :) Also, looking up bears eating planes now... need to see that!
Can you attach a basket to one or both of the skids and put the kayaks in the baskets 🤔 I know they make cargo baskets just not sure if they can be attached to any helicopter. I understand the weight issues and figure the weight of the basket itself may be a deterrent, not to mention the cost of a basket that may not be used regularly. Looking forward to the rest of these episodes 👍😎
4:25 - Chris sitting in the passenger seats looks exactly like the kid that's getting dragged to home depo by his mum agaisnt his will on a sunday morning at 6am
@@BeckiandChris We've been looking at the tandem model - Julie likes to paddle, and I like to lounge... A bit more space in the 172, though our landing options are fewer. Flown low and slow over the places you're going to camp, looking forward to the follow up episodes.
You are by far the only channel i put the notification bell on, love the series ! Were inflatable kajaks heavier then the foldable ones ? inflatable ones come in their own little backpacks, maybe only 1/3rd of the foldable you both were using :)
You must have guts of steel for Mountain House 🤣 Can't say I have fun stories backpacking with it. Love the editing and can't wait to watch the series.
As a Canadian that regularly backpacks in the areas you mapped, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release your custom coloured crown land map. I'll even pay for it if I have to! I HATE the official crown land atlas website. It's so complicated! I just want a map like the one you made where it's "here is where you can be and here is where you shouldn't be" in high contrast colours. Also, for those that are not regular backcountry campers that have never eaten from the dehydrated food packs, bring an extra long spoon (like spatula length). It will help you get all the food in tucked in the bottom corners of the bag without you getting your hands all dirty by reaching deep into the bag with a normal spoon.
So glad it brought joy! For the series and films I usually build out the playlist first before we shoot but pick the songs based on the rough cut. Sometimes I know what songs will be used for a specific scene before hand!
Hi Becki, Hi Chris. I'm sending you best regards from France. I really enjoy your videos!!! Please keep going! At time code 14:05 Becky is using a "TO DO LIST" app. Which one is it please?
I was going to give you grief over your choice of meals, and the fact that most of it was dry, and then you mentioned one major Objective Danger which I never had to worry about living in the UK, and that would be big BEARS with big teeth and claws. On the plus side, to survive, you don't have to outrun the bear, you just have to outrun each other. 🤣
The best part is you get an aerial view of your campsite before you setup camp.
Becki & Chris... I have one word... OUTSTANDING... Well Two... AWE😃SOME
YES!!! Not watched it yet, saving it to 'watch later' playlist so I can pick it up on my big TV 👍😀⭐
Super excited to share this one with you all, might be our favourite helicopter adventure yet!
Thank you so much for sharing @beckiandchris 🙂
Hyyyyyype! Loving the green and all of the top-down shots, nicely done.
Super excited to watch it and thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I freaking love this channel. Looking forward to the rest of this series.
Absolutely love orukayak!
That Intro B-roll though!!
Helicopters and kayaks are probably the least practical combination of vehicles in existence...and i'm absolutely here for it!!🖤
are you KIDDING with the opening edits. Gorg. Safe travels pls tell me this happened during the summer.
I spy Gatewood Brown's Remote Design Bag. It's soo good!
There is no better feeling than having your sunday morning coffee and watching Becki and Chris on helicopter advanture! Yes please!!! :) Always love these helicopter/travel series
Thanks Lukas!!!
My least favourite part is the end though. Now I have to wait for more :(
The music. The editing. The opening sequence. The structure. The storytelling. The humor. The aspect ratio (oh, how cinematic!). To borrow a term from my favorite RUclipsrs... deadly🙂!! Seriously, great stuff. Can't wait for ep 02.
Thank you Tom! Always a blast making these projects!
Got a job at a Helicopter place a few months back. Seeing how much there is to everything, it make me appreciate these helicopter series even more
Something about the thumbnail is so cozyyy
That planning ..!!
I am so excited for this series!

YOU HAVE A REMOTE HELECOPTER THAT CARRIES PEOPLE AWESOME! I want one of those if I grow up!
As an overlander this was a great first episode to show what's behind some of the great adventures you can take out in the wilderness. Love this!
So Hyped for this series 😊
Helicopter camping!! Insane 🤯🤯🤯

Love your videos and always enjoy the little snips at the end. Can't wait to see how the trip goes!
Dude!! First Mauzy and now heading north, You people are killing it!! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes.
Thanks so much!!

This was refreshing and makes me want to get out in the wild!
The best videos on all the internet! Each series gets better and better! Can’t wait for the next episode!
And off we're going again.... And we are allowed to ride along.... 👌
The filming/editing of this is absolutely next level! You've truly become pro's this and I can't begin to imagine the amount of work and effort you both most put into these kinds of things. Love it!
Becki and Chris: Wilderness Edition. Excited for this!
Absolutely love the video and this series. Brings an entire new light into backpacking.

Are belly pods something that exists with small helicopters? They seem pretty common with super cub style planes used in the backcountry
I know your channel is not about that but I’m here almost every day to learn about storytelling. You guys are great telling a story and keep the emotion high every time.
I’ve been saving this series for a good day and so glad I started it today! It’s raining in LA so got comfy with tea and snacks…going to binge watch! 🍵🍿🌈
I wish I can fly Helicopters everywhere and FPV drone - perfect combo
Hell yeah, another trip and so much fun with u guys are coming!!!
very excited for what comes next
As a university student studying mechanical aerospace engineering, watching your videos really helps me de-stress at the end of a long day of studying. I'm sure the same effect is felt by many others as well!!
So glad to hear that!!
Dang Dr. Chris is SMART!!!!
I did not know there was such things as fold up kayaks!
Also great job Becki for packing up the Heli it is no easy feat of Tetris 😂
As a backpacker it's fun to see your packing decisions when weight and space are limited. Time for some Ultra Light gear. :) Also, looking up bears eating planes now... need to see that!

ITS LOOKING GREAT. LOVE IT B&C. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT EPISODE.
Just getting to this series now and I'm in awe. Would love to see a video on your gear for this trip. I.e brands and usages.
3:16 - I like to travel this place
4:25 - Chris sitting in the passenger seats looks exactly like the kid that's getting dragged to home depo by his mum agaisnt his will on a sunday morning at 6am
it is incredibly pleasing that you've managed to find camping gear that matches your aesthetic grey collapsy bowl ftw!
Wow this is so exciting! I love how you edited this, it flowed so well. It got me ultra hyped
So excited to see another epic Helicopter Adventure. Such a great way to start a Sunday morning!

So freaking dope! Let's goooooo 🔥
Can I just say how wholesome that thumbnail looks😂
I've been considering one of the ORU Kayaks for C-FMVU - glad to see them in use, and stowed in an aircraft. Gives me a better perspective.
They are really fun I must say, a great addition especially for calm waters
@@BeckiandChris We've been looking at the tandem model - Julie likes to paddle, and I like to lounge... A bit more space in the 172, though our landing options are fewer. Flown low and slow over the places you're going to camp, looking forward to the follow up episodes.
Im soo jealous, that looks super fun! Good luck guys!
You are by far the only channel i put the notification bell on, love the series !

the map talk is Johnny Harris' favorite part.
Oh so that's what well adjusted couples look like 😂 Great video guys!
You must have guts of steel for Mountain House 🤣 Can't say I have fun stories backpacking with it. Love the editing and can't wait to watch the series.
Haha no issues here but there’s a few I did not like 😂 gonna have to try backpackers pantry next time
Love your adventures! Thank you for sharing!
Just about to order some of those kayaks !!!
OMG Becky! I love the set behind Chris in the opening. so creative. I Had to pause the video to say this lol
Thank you so much!!

This is gonna be a super amazing series. I'm even excited like if I'm there.
Hey Becki & Chris! You guys are awesome! Thanks so much!
Ah so excited for another series. This was so fun, thanks for all the hard work on these for us to enjoy!
LOVING this outdoorsy side of y’all! Amazing prep!
Thanks so much! Having a blast!
Seems to me that you could have mounted the kayaks on the runners somehow. Just a thought.
Not without a cage but the cage I don’t think would be the right size
Such a great intro to the series!!
So cool. It would be funny if your just wore your entire wardrobe there and back Joey Tribbiani style. 😂
I found you with Trent Palmer, You now have another subscriber!
Thanks for bringing me joy on a Sunday! That opening song ("Can't Bring Me Down") is so good! Where in the process do you pick your music?
So glad it brought joy! For the series and films I usually build out the playlist first before we shoot but pick the songs based on the rough cut. Sometimes I know what songs will be used for a specific scene before hand!
Always amazing!
I love it here.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone overpack like I just watched you two overpack. 😂
Hey Becki and Chris, love your guys' channel.
Fly Low, Don't Die. Great advice.
Hi Becki, Hi Chris. I'm sending you best regards from France. I really enjoy your videos!!! Please keep going! At time code 14:05 Becky is using a "TO DO LIST" app. Which one is it please?
Omg. This content is AMAZING

ya'll are getting so good at making these! I am on board with thinking about getting some of those kayaks
Thanks so much! They kayaks are really awesome, they’ve been a great addition!
LLOVEEEEE!!!!!!!!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. THAT'S THE LIFESTYLE I WANT TO LIFE WHEN I HAVE A WIFE BEFORE HAVING KIDS. A MINIMAL YET FANCY LIFESTYLE. ❤️❤️
so amazing Masya Allah 🥰🥰
I was going to give you grief over your choice of meals, and the fact that most of it was dry, and then you mentioned one major Objective Danger which I never had to worry about living in the UK, and that would be big BEARS with big teeth and claws.

🤣
What program did you use to geo reference the images?
Maptiler
Can’t wait for the next video 👌
When I go back country airplane camping I remove the rear seat to make more room for gear and save weight. Can you do that in your machine?
Nice!! I wish we could but we cannot. It would be so handy!
the best storyteller i know is you ..
