Earth is in dire need of more farmable land so the National Space and Farming Administration (NSFA) has been formed. Many planets are in the process of terraforming, a 20 year cycle to provide resources to our struggling planet. I have been chosen to lead the Mars Mission.
In this 2nd episode, I will hopefully be in receipt of the equipment we ordered! We can crack on the many tasks that need to be completed. I ponder the situation I find myself in and how I ended up here…
Set by FarmerBOB: MARS THE MISSION: - To win the game you need to terraform Mars' atmosphere in 20 Years. To achieve this you have to plant 10000 trees, have 20 Large Bee hives, 160 Cows, 720 Chicken, 195 Sheep, 540 Pigs and 800 000 Litres each of any 6 Crops in your Storage Bins. This may change or be added to!
Seasonal Growth is OFF!

Some thing im thinking about as im playing along on this map:
I dont think I'm alone on this colony, so I dont think its an issue to hire a helper for example. Someone has to be running the factories and such, assembling the delivered tractor parts and whatnot. Who built all these buildings and this dome? Just me? Nah, I am probably not alone here.
And as for fuel usage inside the dome, pollution and whatnot... hesr me out, i dont think these machines are using Diesel. I think theyve been converted to liquid hydrogen fuel like rockets use, and that means that the byproduct of combustion is just water. This explains the Water Reclamation plant, and why its ok to open the doors on the animal housing. Of course, animals have different hardiness levels and lets be honest, they kinda smell. All in all, it was worth the expense to dome them off separately, especially since redundant life support systems for them would be helpful if something should happen to the main dome. Hey, it might even save YOUR life.
This is a great change from the regular. Interesting concept
I have to say the transition from the farm to Mars was absolutely fantastic really well done thoroughly enjoyed watching that 😊
So glad you’re doing a series on this map Paul. This literally screams Mr. Sealy P and I’m excited to watch what you do, as I continue my new save game on here.
Its great to see a totaly diffent gameplay, never know what the future holds perhaps we will be farming in space

Most difficult job I’ve ever encountered been a parent .. it’s a thankless task but the most rewarding when you see them smile whilst sleeping or when they are amazed by the smallest thing .. think all parents can relate to this
Excellent episode, Mr S! The flashback, the launch, very impressive! 😎 I didn't think much of this map idea at first, but my mind started racing. I am doing a game play with ONLY electric vehicles. ( On PC I can with 3rd party mods ). Your plan is great! Will be an excellent series. 😎👍

When adding buildings for workers why not use the residential container Mod , story line could be the containers that are bringing the tools to Mars to be assembled for use, could then be converted to residential containers.

processing trees into woodchips lasts about 2 seconds per tree with the tree devourer. ;)
For the worker housing: there are living containers in the modhub.
Not only grass, but also the opertunity to plant trees along the sides of the fields

Have you thought of using Devour trees for the 10K planting trees instead of cutting them down turn to Woodchips using the Devour trees as you could get rid of stumps at same time this will save time making the planting and deforest a lot quicker.
Also to add more to this mars challenge the meteorite that crashed into mars that made a lot of mars crust rain back down after impact and rocks scattered everywhere would of left small craters so where rocks are should have small craters which you would have to fill in then plow. You could put on space suit go out with bucket and take some mars soal from the outside bring it in to fill the crater.

Love the series so far sir it made me pause my Ravenport and start this one i like the challenge i ended up ctaking out the forest area expanded it
Finished the tree planting, 11088 not counting what was already there. I have the MoreTrees mod installed so maybe why number isn't a problem. As for domes, in build mode open the doors and bring camera down to get the best view then you can sell the animal pens, plough and sow grass then place whatever you like inside. I dont like the robot cattle barns so first thing I did. Hope this helps, cya!

Mars has less gravity. Please speed you your vehicles. Would be awesome to see next generation low gravity farming.
One bummer is not being able to build in the domes. Especially the one with the chicken coops. So much more room! I'm hoping they'll be a fix for that at some point. Good work on all the videos.
Please reference the comment made by @mppc2001 up above. They have stated there IS a way to build inside the domes.

Mr P try a bowl of boiled water and add a good bit of salt wait for it to cool then put your eyes in the water face down and blink lots repeat a good few times. Hope it helps

The mobile shopping basket.. fill it with lime or solid fertilizer drop the basket inside your spreader close the cover then you can automatically fill your spreader without stopping
As for crops I would look at base game pig buildings (without using a mixing station) - Corn / Sorghum (50%) ; Wheat / Barley (25%) ; Soybeans / Canola / Sunflowers (20%) ; Potatoes / Sugar Beets (5%) for some starting ideas.

Hey MrSealyp, FYI I started the day before your first video and at this time of planting Im up to 9747 trees planted without having cut down a single original tree as they dont show on trees planted anyway. No problems at all and as for the mission goals, imho its easily possible and acheivable. All the best on your endevour!

I’ve made the mistake of ploughing the 9 fields in a square into one. Length ways it’s almost 3 minutes to plough one pass. May have bitten off more than I can chew! Placed Deathpledge’s ‘homebrew’ mod in to make my own fertiliser too. Don’t have to get any shipped up that way and can produce from slurry.
Have a goal of 5,000 trees cut on Mason County. Currently sitting at 3,500 cut. 🌲🚜🎶

You can use the tree be gone on the trees after 3 months then replant again. Ive finished the 10.000 trees.
not sure if it's on console but there is a mod 'moretrees' that allows all 10000 trees to be planted without cutting trees down to make room for new trees. space becomes an issue however with the normal 10m spacing on the default planter. not sure if there is a mod to allow closer planting of trees, legitimately. I just edited the xml setting minDistance="5" to a 5m spacing and got all 10k trees to fit in the upper ring. it still took a long day of just planting and refilling the seedlings even with the 240 per pallet seedlings from platinum expansion

Great series. Answered my tree dilemma in first 2 minutes. Am playing on ps4 could tree limit be higher with ps5. Where space shuttle footage come from? Keep it up earth is starving!
Hope your eye gets better!!!! How would you feel if you didn't put your flashers on and ran over the last surviving Martian? Did you remember the mods of tree saplings, they have a pallet of 316 saplings, save time reloading. The damcon 10 is available as mod but I don't know of any item to allow 3 at once. I think i will like this let's play, different. (says Mr Obvious)

Mr sealyp about the hard work I do property maintenance always fixing thing in houses and what not, but I no your job is hard work I would not be able to look at a screen for 6,7,8 hours just for gameplay then spending 2/3 hours editing no way on this planet that hard work to me mate just thinking of a story line is hard work to me haha so don’t let anyone tell you your job isn’t “hard work” I’ve been a subscriber to you since fs19 came out and I’ve not seen 1 sloppy video you’ve worked hard so there for it is hard work mate
With the planter provided, I bought 5 pallets of Poplar. When they are planted I'm done. I'm planting them by the Door that doesn't open, I'm guessing it's the way out of the dome.

In reference to tree cutting numbers...I understand it's cheating however the unrealistic wood chipper is a quick option to process wood numbers in a quick way and when used with an unreal trailer it can be really quick

The trees are doable within the first two years your man is mixing months and years i think. Alls i can say is saplings. And 240 of them. Each pallet. 10 pallets is 2400. But they cost 3 x that. And the bails in the domb i cnt use for cotton. So why are they there. Lmfao as i shout this.

Actually if you look up if it does in a biodome it does do all that.
@@Driver_1227 no weeds if you don’t introduce them….everything would be sterilized before the trip
But seasons due happen. And weeds could potentially happen if some how a weed seed managed to make it into the crop seeds. And you can't guarantee that wouldn't happen. So you might say for the first 2 maybe 3 years of planting you wouldn't see them but I believe you'd see them at some point
How do you have the rocks and gravel on the ramp? I've downloaded the Mars map three times. First one had no dome over it and the load-in to the map was a slow fall off the top of the rocket. The second map wouldn't open at all. Finally, the third one loads in properly, has the dome and all the starting equipment, however, there is no debris to remove from the roadway. I'm really curious how many different versions of this map are out there.
